Ovechkin will be a huge bust. He hurt his knee this summer playing a nothing game in Russia and it hasn’t healed yet. Cheer all you want for him to break Gretzky’s goal record but at his age his chances are dwindling.
If Laine can get 30G and 30A I don't even really take that as a bust at this point in time. Good call on Sergachev that looks a lot more reasonable than some sources having him at 60-65P. I think Skinner will hit about 60. I also think 89 would be a great season for Thomas.
Im worried about stamkos, but when i look at the last 2 months of last years regular season, watching the playoffs, and now he is on a vengeance tour. I find it really hard not to see another 80+point 35+ppp season. The bust prospect is absolutely there though but at pick 45-60 i think hes a steal. That powerplay is unreal now, id go as far as to say its the 3rd best behind the leafs and oilers. Ryan o'reilly net front with 4 absolute snipers around him, my oh my. Would like to hear your guys thoughts on the pp though
Thanks always Nate and Blake! Love your contents man. I'm about to start listening so I may be speaking too early lol but I'm surprised to not see Reinhart or Forsberg there. Any thoughts on these two, especially with Reinhart having 24.5% shooting percentage last year?
I agree with Reinhart, but forsberg has so much support now that he has never had. there's no way he does worse imo, I actually think he may break 100 if it doesn't take long to build chemistry on the pp
I think with aging the worst about ovi is even if he gets 30-35 goals his peripherals will go down
Love your takes... One thing I have to disagree with: "Edmonton is nice" 😅
Hahaha fair enough
Laine can't make 70 pts in montreal unless they really switch things around. Playing 2nd line ~15min with low end linemates is not going to cut it.
I could see that second line for montreal actually being pretty good if they can stay healthy. Dach and newhook are in years where they could possibly break out
I was higher on Dach before the Laine signing. Still a great player and no one has him on their fantasy radar. Watchlist guy at the very least.
Newhook has had a lot of opportunities to do something and hasn’t shown much imo
Last year Stamkos was L2 in TB
Detroit Red Wings sign Lucas Raymond to an 8-year, $64.6 million contract
Surprised you guys didn't put Reinhart in your bust spot or Coleman
I know you put miller as a bust, curious where you draft Miller in a medium banger weighted points league? I was planning on targeting him on the turn 12/13, probably like miller/Tkachuk or something.
JT Miller a bust is a hilarious take. Come on.
I don’t entirely disagree. Given his ADP and the fact the entire Canucks team was firing at above their historical averages, I think he won’t hit the same points totals for fantasy as he did last year. I suppose not a bust but taking him as early as his ADP compared to other guys in that range might be a mistake.
@@mcthunderstick2374we wanted to do an early round bust. By no means are we saying that that won’t produce. Just that in the first round there is potential for them to regress. I chose Panarin for reference.
@@blakecreamer7552 I think you meant to response to Canuck lol
