When I did mine I was told to bleed the water feed pipe. Do this once it’s running, crack off the nut until water comes through then immediately tighten 👍

I found that it is important to have the plastic hose inserted all the way in the air filter housing to keep the filter clean longer. Thanks again.

@@Mel-he1hg If the Turbo is worn then you will loose boost pressure and then you drop revs which means your compressor kicks in . I would say get your turbo looked at
Thankyou for this excellent step by step process . Your videos are saving me huge $$ and I almost certainly would have made mistakes trying to do this without your guidance . I’m removing my turbo next as I reckon I have coolant getting into it. Tamd40 cheers
Glad it helped. If you are loosing coolant water the gasket on the exhaust manifold fail and the water is slow to drip out by which time the water is evaporated due to the heat. So hard to find . Check that first . They way found it was leave the engine hatch up and go full WOT and you will see the water drip out which is normal the first exhaust port hole nearest the turbo. You can sometimes get away with tightening the exhaust manifolds bolts up to reseal the gasket
@shakyangler my volvo Kad43p turbo (same turbo as yours) is around $5,000. I think a rebuilt one is about half that. You can get an aftermarket one for around $1,500. I'm talking Canadian $.

13mm or 15mm from memory.

Glad you enjoyed the video . The cost was £695 + vat . The air filter did get dirty but I have not checked since I changed the filter.

The antifreeze I use has the same specifications as the Volvo penta but less than half the cost .

Was this engine smoking any. Burning oil from worn turbo seals?
No . Done my turbo because the vanes were worn.

Do you have to drain all the coolant? Can't you just drain from bottom of turbo drain.
You can just drain the turbo down but I changed the coolant as it was due a change.
