The third scenario had some fortunate timing. If he manages to shoot while you're still in the standing up animation, it's a goal more often than not. I've learned that the hard way. (I know you know that, just pointing it out for others)
I've been working at playing goalie and I love this video but I gotta ask, what camera angle are you using? I've just been using the default camera view but this one seems like a really good mix of the default and being able to see more of the zone.
How often do you use speed burst to move to one timers. I feel like even sometimes when I slide with the right stick it is often less effective than just standing
Depends on how far I need to go. I’m putting a video out on it eventually. The way I look at it is the speed burst is a 3rd speed of movement used for specific scenarios. Breakaways, behind the net and sharp angle one timers. I’m still testing all of this
Can I have help on when to pass it out. Basic I know but my teammates always peer pressure me and they are like "dude pass it out" but whenever I do, they turnover and score. You don't need to make a video on this, but maybe reply to me and tell me
Tell your teammates to get off your ass. If you don't want to toss it out, hold it. It's your call not theirs. I pass out often but only if I know there's a clear lane. If if your teammates turn it over when you get a clear pass to them, they need to be better...in all honesty lol.
@@EmailBacon You’re the keeper. You’re the leader of the defense and your entire job is to stop them from scoring. If YOU think passing out puts you at risk of being scored on don’t pass it out simple as that. Fuck what your teammates are bitching about because when you give in and pass out and get scored on YOU get the blame not them. Do what you feel is in YOUR best interest because again the only way to win is by being scored on LESS than the other team. If holding the puck leads to being scored on less and winning more that’s all that matters.
Gosh, I wish you had more videos more often. I always tend to play better after I watch them.
10 min videos take a while to edit
Great breakdowns and reads as always!! Consistency and reliability is so key to success at the highest levels!
You said it perfectly predictability is one of the things that sets apart good from great players
The best players in this game will freeze you on the spot. Sucks 😂

That’s why you have to stand up as soon as you possibly can
When you say you're using your speed boost @ 6:45 going up against ECL and the breakaway are you talking L3 or L2?
L3 but most guys re-map it to another button like R1/RB
NHL 13 butterfly stay in middle don’t move 😂
on the last one i was saying stand up also because if he wraps both post are covered if he trued

Fixed or Dynamic high here I believe
Is speed boost a thing with goalies?
What exactly is speed boost up and coming goalie here
Would you recommend high or fixed for cameras? Both have there advantages.
Fixed. High cuts off your vision of the ice and at the end of the day you need to see the whole ice
@@betweenthepipes I've used fixed, high is nice but yeah when the puck is behind the net you can't see who's in front.
You get used to the angles on fixed after using it for a while
@@betweenthepipes it's all I used to use, been trying high but I like fixed more
great video as always!
How do you stop 5 hole I swear I keep getting stupid 5 hole shots shot on me
how do you speed boost??
What camera angle do you use
Fr
Hes on fixed

@@betweenthepipes good point , I wish the precise speed movement toggle was for speed burst .
How do I user the goalie tho
Are you playing in the new CBJ tournament if so what team ?
I’m the back up on composure right now but I don’t think I can play any scheduled NHL right now with my work/life schedule atm sadly
@@betweenthepipes well keep making goalie videos. Love the content and the positioning is spot on. I use your build and absolutely love it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Keep grinding bud.
What’s speed boost? Non-Precision?
L3 by default. I remapped it to _R1
@@betweenthepipes interesting. Never thought to use it
@@betweenthepipes how can you change the controls
Phew.....I got all the questions correct!
What did you mean by speed boost?
Holding down the left trigger
thank you so much

@@BlixMixing Thanks, and again, the peer pressure when they are all calling for it though. They get sooo mad
