When the two Sony cameras arrived, they felt massive 😂😂😂 not saying i hate them, they feel really robust and my team loves using them. They simply don't compare to m43 if size is a consideration
I'm so close to leaving fuji. Trying to record videos of birds with busy backgrounds is painful! Also shooting birds in flight sucks big booty. I had so much hope for my XH-2 and 150-600....
Had an XT-3 and the 33 1.4, 16 1.4 and 55-200. Love the colors and the sims, especially the ACROS, were great. AF was unreliable and I couldn’t depend on it for unrepeatable images. Went back to Canon. Now use the R3 and the 28-70 f2 and 135 1.8. The AF, IQ, and color science are amazing. It is the polar opposite from the Fuji in size, but also in performance. I don’t shoot video at all. This is my do everything, travel kit. I’m happy to be back home.

I started with a Fuji X-T2, which I absolutely loved. Later, I upgraded to the X-T4 but quickly realised it wasn't for me, largely due to the fully articulated flip screen. Eventually, I decided to move on from Fuji altogether and transitioned to a full-frame Nikon system.
Looks like you are walking on Bayview Avenue in Toronto! O, boy, I miss that city and those crazy cold but extremely sunny winter days! Thanks for the video! Great image quality, great colours!
Been traveling and haven't watched any photo/video related content in a couple of months, but just wanted to say the image in this video is beautiful. Colors, contrast, bokeh, sound -- it's all perfect. Well done Sir. Your show does not suck. (So long as you stay outside ;-)
That Fuji has mystical powers over you. 💎💎 I love that you sold all of your lenses but still have the camera. 🤣 ZV-E1 looking fantastic out there in the Canadian cold - without much worry of it overheating...
Im currently on the Nikon Zf train coming from being a Fuji fan boi for years & i'm hoping to see if either camera makes a whole standalone ecosystem or a lot more friendly user camera software (better than what we have with Nikon currently) where we drag and drop custom picture profiles "looks" on the fly, even from Lightroom presets to Luts and it translates easier onto your camera. Maybe even a dial on the camera for stand alone "film" mode if that makes sense. I feel like Fuji & Nikon are on that trend or crowd of users that go for desired film simulations and it could be a little more innovated with investing on it and it wouldn't be so out of proportion and gain some traction for us film snobs.
I think the best use case for a Fuji is digital film camera. Use some cheap manual focus glass / adapted vintage. Film is too expensive to use and Fuji's simulations are the best alternative.
Yeah for how lauded the 35 1.4 is for it's less critical character and magic look, it was still too sharp lol. I am a Fuji shooter and still like the system regardless of it's flaws, but I'm a dirty photographer haha, though I think one of the best reasons why I do is the third party and vintage options for great lenses... even some new AF anamorphics which is pretty crazy
You can replicate the look, although through lots of tweaks. Fuji video i feel is easy. I use canon, also sony. Fuji was my mid career buddy. I still kept 2 lenses. I sold the bodies. Im the end whos rweally looking, and what do u wanna really say? I know this is a niche channel amd thats why i lpve it, because of ur personality, pre3ence, branding, details. Where s all we filming goibg to and whos the audience is what im wandering for myself, i would trust sony for a movie too.
as someone that bought fuji because i was influenced by film simulations and recipes, after some time you get bored of it and you realize that everyone using fuji has the same looking pictures. in the end camera color science is just a myth, every camera is just digital signal and you can make any camera look exactly the same by color grading it's a waste using high end camera just to look at jpeg files or REC709 results i'm currently using the ZVE1 and have made some videos with it but i will switch to lumix when they bring something better just for their ibis, after testing out the S5ii
Fuji beats C70 colors IMHO. If AF is indeed fixed (I'm still skeptical) it's the best all-around system, especially considering size, weight, cost, lenses, etc. Sure if you can own 4-5 high end cameras, you might get one camera with better AF, stabe, slow-mo, etc, but you'll revert beat Fuji color science, IMHO. Thanks for making these videos Kasey!
In last 10 years I have left Canon, left Nikon and I am going to leave Fuji soon possibly. It is not that tragic. as a brand make new camera that suits your needs better you switch to it. the thing with fuji is that people recording weddings and commercials and videos for social media, really need slow motion. and xh2s 4k 60fps is really good. so most of us put up with bad autofocus, we had not have good alternatives until z6iii and now I hope that a7 V is going to be my next camera if they improve video specs in those regards. also xh2s having smaller sensor is in real world means nothing when videos are on full frame level with dynamic range and sharpness. bigger problem for me is crop sensor not having zoom lenses like 24-70 2.8 or 28-45 1.8. or anamorphic or cine lenses.. but now with this next step from nikon, sony and canon maybe with r6 III we can have good hybrid camera with good 4k 60fps and with around 2500$ price. if fuji dont make some drastic changes in this year (and I dont think they will) there is hoing to be a lot of jumps from it.
In my 3rd year of Fujifilm. I think the H2S is great for stills - don't shoot much in the way of video, and I need a battery grip to go with my "spade" hands as my friends would say. I can't use Sony because they make too small a camera and my nuckle digs into the flange corner on the lenses (very painful experience). I've been shooting with APS-C since 2003 and have the 18-35 1.8 and 50-100 1.8 so want to stick to APS-C. Canon in their wisdom decided after the 7D2 that they'd no longer put a battery grip on their bodies. I photograph upto 14 hours a day portrait, so again the grip helps...
Ive debated leaving Fuji various times. I always end up staying. As a wedding filmmaker I've had to find the lenses that work well for video, and use stabilizers to get things smooth. Low light has never been an issue with the right primes. Theres a particular look from the Fujis that im not sure I could easily replicate from other FF cameras. I actually use Eterna for most things and its excellent as a starting point to grade from without the hassle of Log. Did you ever try that? I have definitely learned how to make Fuji work for me for video. I'm pretty happy with it.
I shoot fuji because of GFX. Yes primarily photos, but the video out of it (on the 100s personally) is phenomenal despite all the tools saying "why would you use it for video". I was recently given Dehancer for testing, and though I won't spoil it before my video comes out, there is one lut in particular that takes the GFX video to another level of cinematic magic. Regardless the 100s is top level video if you forget about higher frame rates. I know, I know, it hurts. I can't bring myself to go aps-c on fuji, at least not just yet. I am waiting to see what the Nikon Z7iii is like, but am expecting it to be very overpriced. The biggest conundrum with going GFX is you compare all prices against it. I can sell it, and get virtually any camera, but won't walk away with any change, and loose so much in terms of pure image quality.
I’ve got xt20 in 2019 and still use it. I shoot landscapes 1-2 times per week. I don’t want to upgrade to FF because of the size of the lenses. Fuji is enough for my
I have a Sony a7S , and it’s colours are so bad that I speed boost my X-T2 instead. I don’t need auto focus for my shots anyways. It looks so good that I barely colour the footage, or do a very light grading.
Sony colors are garbage. I have the A7 and A7RV and aside from good video performance- I absolutely hate shooting still photos with Sony in any other light than bright sunlight. Everything always looks bland and kind of lifeless compared to everything else I’ve used over the years.
Every camera is "the overkill camera for TH-cam". Yours - and most other TH-camrs' - side-by-side comparisons of various camera systems & lenses look like exactly the same overcompressed mush by the time they reach my browser. Long-time fan anyway! Keep Conspiracies-ing
Just sold my X-E3. The autofocus is just slow and is not accurate enough. My Panny GX9 with DFD autofocus is surprisingly quicker and more accurate, and it doesn't feel plastic fantastic like the Fuji.
I'm not sure honestly, perhaps if things change a lot in the future. Pretty happy with my Fuji's - for personal use I much prefer my Fuji. If I were to do fulltime video making I'd probably have Sony (which I all sold for Fuji). I just enjoy using my Fuji more. Fullframe is still nice, but I'd prefer the medium format X100VI type camera that's coming :D
I find myself in this EXACT predicament. I'm considering the RED Pyxis with some cinema lenses.. BUT what I will say is the original Fuji 23mm f1.4 IS in fact incredible. I have a second hand one from ebay and it's scratched, has dust, is a bit blurry wide open but DAMN is that thing beautiful.
My brain is a bit broken, so I’m sticking with Fuji because I like the pretty colours. On another topic, what’s everyone’s favourite kind of cheesecake? Mine is strawberry with chocolate sprinkles.
I wanna love Sony, but can't: too plasticy, overprocessed, and pixel-perfect bland. Fuji has character, small form factor, fantastic colors, and ease of use. (I only do stills).
I've gone to and left Fuji twice. Nikon just beats it as a platform, especially in terms of lenses (not even close IMO in terms of flexibility, quality, and affordability). Nikon colors are also extremely close to Fuji--I like what Fuji does with sky colors more, and the tonality of Fuji is great, but otherwise Nikon is just as strong if not moreso overall just using their standard mode. That said, I might have still decided to stay Fuji if the single target autofocus had, uh *checks notes* consistently worked at the time.
Saw the video title and the beautiful intro section. Colors were great and I thought… man we will miss these Fuji colors… couldn’t believe when you said this was Sony.. but AF and stabe proofed it. How did you pull out these colors from Sony? looks like a beautiful Eterna version with slightly more contrast and saturation.
fuji ergos are lovely, forgetting video as I dont shot video. Fuji shall we say is untrustworthy, and when your making money from your craft I cant be thinking in the back of my mind "I hope it got it that"
I've had 6 Fuji bodies - I still have an X-T20 - and every day, I contemplate getting rid of all my Fuji gear and just going all in on Canon. Fuji has a look that's different and amazing, but their bodies are so counterintuitive, and they seem to be getting worse, not better. If Canon came out with a fixed-lens APS-C body for less than $1,500, I'd be on it so fast.
Bought a 6400 years ago - okay for video, but for what I do with video a smartphone would also have done the job. And for photography - I'm a total noob, and I have been since years, because whenever I tried to grab my Sony to take some photos ... it felt ... unsexy ... idk ... just meh ... so I rarely took photos and I never did it with any enthusiasm - and you kind of see it in the images ... they are in focus, but they feel meh and digital - they feel Sony. Only recently I bought a used XT-1 and a cheapo manual lens from China ... 90% of the images are garbage - 50% just because focus is completely off ... but I'm having - so - much - fun ! ... I'd definitely buy into Fuji - not for perfection, but for the feeling - for sexiness ... will wait until I win the lottery - and chances are, that then an XT-6 is available.

Hello :-) I don't see any reason for you to buy Fujifilm again other than it looks good. I have a Fujifilm X-H2 that I bought last summer. I regret that i bought it. My 15 year old Nikon D700 has a way better autofocus - it nails it every time! Fifteen years old! it only takes a spilt second and object is in focus every single time. My Fujifilm searches back and forth - and maybe it decides to make a sharp image :-) I don't think that Fujifilm will be able to make an update that solves the autofocus problem. In near future they will release a Fujifilm X-H3, and maybe they will make the autofocus work on that model - but I don't think they will fix the X-H2. The customers will have to buy the next model...
Have you thought about trying the Fuji XM5? It has a flip screen, open gate, and a bunch of other impressive video features (though no IBIS or stabe from what I understand).

9-18mm. 15mm 1.7 45mm 1.8 😍 40-150mm. (super cheap and lightweight.)
@amermeleitor i recently bought an a6700 and an a7cii online for my business. I didn’t research too much, only that they're "small" compact cameras. I have an olympus em5 mk2 and epl9. When the two Sony cameras arrived, they felt massive 😂😂😂 not saying i hate them, they feel really robust and my team loves using them. They simply don't compare to m43 if size is a consideration
The lenses on m43 are great too
My ZVE1 is 483g. Zess 35mm f2.8 and you're done :)
I'm so close to leaving fuji. Trying to record videos of birds with busy backgrounds is painful! Also shooting birds in flight sucks big booty. I had so much hope for my XH-2 and 150-600....
might be interested in buying
ZVE1/Zeiss 18mm f2.8 are a fantastic combo, I don't think I've seen better on this channel.
And here Iam. Just bought the Viltrox 75mm 1.2 for portrait and the Fuji 70-300mm for the next vacation. Loving the system, the color, the size...
What microphone are you using? It sounds amazing.
It is helping that it is so close. 😀
Most probably he uses voice isolation feature in Davinci Resolve.
@@entphotoentphoto-pn5me Very good point. I was thinking some sort of AI processing was involved. AI is amazing! I use Adobe Podcast V1 all the time for my podcast and videos.
On my calibrated monitor this ZV1 footage looks really nice. Sky is nice and skintone is also nice. Surprisingly nice. Not buying Fuji because of their disastrous purple skintones.
Just slap an IR filter on front of the Fuji lens
@@amermeleitor didn't know that trick, have to try
@@testdev4596 just search a video called XH2S IR Pollution, I think is from Josh Satin. Seems like Fuji cameras have very weak IR filtering on to the sensor. I think it's on purpose, like some cinema cameras
@@testdev4596search for "XH2S IR pollution" video. There are two videos as far as I know, from Josh Satin and other guy. Seems like Fuji have very weak IR filtering on sensor, like some cinema cameras.
It is nice to see you outdoors again
Looks like you are walking on Bayview Avenue in Toronto! O, boy, I miss that city and those crazy cold but extremely sunny winter days! Thanks for the video! Great image quality, great colours!
You sold the 16mm 1.4??? Yep, you'll be rebuying that. Will it be for the 3rd time?
Been traveling and haven't watched any photo/video related content in a couple of months, but just wanted to say the image in this video is beautiful. Colors, contrast, bokeh, sound -- it's all perfect. Well done Sir. Your show does not suck. (So long as you stay outside ;-)
That Fuji has mystical powers over you. 💎💎 I love that you sold all of your lenses but still have the camera. 🤣 ZV-E1 looking fantastic out there in the Canadian cold - without much worry of it overheating...
Being from Buffalo I appreciate you're taste of weather. -7C
Meaning while the colors and quality of this video looks exceptional 😊
It’s wild that in the modern day and age no camera is good enough for content creation
I know I am trying my best to use Fuji full time but I know I will go back to Sony. First. 😮
Bye CC. I am with my Fuji gear 🎉.
Incredible! That Sony camera rocks!
Great hydration, what moisturizer do you use? What you filmed with here is gorgeous.
Nice jacket. Your hood has its own hood. I want one
Two hoods are better than one?
I think the best use case for a Fuji is digital film camera. Use some cheap manual focus glass / adapted vintage. Film is too expensive to use and Fuji's simulations are the best alternative.
That jacket looks so majestic 😅❤
Complaining about the cold while living in Toronto. Those of us living in hell, Winnipeg, have no sympathy.
4:25 "Why is he talking to a camera? Must be one of those vlogger weirdos." 😂
as someone that bought fuji because i was influenced by film simulations and recipes, after some time you get bored of it and you realize that everyone using fuji has the same looking pictures.
in the end camera color science is just a myth, every camera is just digital signal and you can make any camera look exactly the same by color grading
it's a waste using high end camera just to look at jpeg files or REC709 results
i'm currently using the ZVE1 and have made some videos with it but i will switch to lumix when they bring something better just for their ibis, after testing out the S5ii
You can deal with colours, but you can't recover footage or photos out of focus. Focus problems = discarded photo and video.
doesn't really sound fixed from all the stuff i've seen, "partially revised" may be new fw is roll back to old fw
Make the movie!! We need to know the origin of the cripple hammer!
Also may I recommend a nose hair trimmer. The sony is very sharp and brings in a lot of detail.
I like all of your videos, even if you hate on the camera I use.
As somebody who just left Fuji for the 4th time i could not agree more! And i dont even do video
Your hair is beautiful!
Looks cold, it sure is nice and warm here in Australia 😊 when I see you freezing I know I’m happy here
Every camera is "the overkill camera for TH-cam". Yours - and most other TH-camrs' - side-by-side comparisons of various camera systems & lenses look like exactly the same overcompressed mush by the time they reach my browser. Long-time fan anyway! Keep Conspiracies-ing
A lot of the differences between the cameras are strong enough to be noticeable even through TH-cam compression.
As someone who currently has an XPro-3 and a XH-2 on Marketplace, I agree.
I had a Fuji GFX 50s ii that I sold for 40¢ on the dollar. I was a fool for thinking Fuji was any better than Nikon or Sony.
I feel the same 🥹 no guji...
Just sold my X-E3. The autofocus is just slow and is not accurate enough. My Panny GX9 with DFD autofocus is surprisingly quicker and more accurate, and it doesn't feel plastic fantastic like the Fuji.
the way that fur majestically flounces around... chefs kiss

Left Fuji last year and couldn't be happier. Nikon was my savior
I wanna love Sony, but can't: too plasticy, overprocessed, and pixel-perfect bland. Fuji has character, small form factor, fantastic colors, and ease of use. (I only do stills).
First cam/lense combo looks perfect - A Consumer of Blogs
The audio sounds amazing my Inuit friend.
Canon C-log2 lut to WDR.
fuji ergos are lovely, forgetting video as I dont shot video. Fuji shall we say is untrustworthy, and when your making money from your craft I cant be thinking in the back of my mind "I hope it got it that"
I've never heard a "Bass Drop" in this song @ the end 🤔.... Interesting!!
DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT...AND I'M NOT STICKING AROUND FOR THE CONCLUSION!!💯💯💯💯
I feel your conundrum (Sorry!) but I miss the 23mm f/1.4.
@cameraconspiracies I wanted to kindly ask if you could consider disabling the new automatic AI translation feature for your videos. The current AI voice-over translation into German is unfortunately very unpleasant and far from natural. It greatly impacts the viewing experience. thx and best gretts from germany !
once i sell my x-s20, there is no way Im buying anything fuji.
Cool jacket 😎
why dont you sell the canon c70 and get the r5ii? it would be nice to see ypu test with the 600mm or 800mm f11
Have you tried the 18 1.4? I hate clinical lenses as well. The 18 1.4 in my opinion is not clinical and is one of my all time favorite lenses. Note: I do not shoot any video.
You called it. Went from loving to hating. Now with Nikon.
I use my GFX 100 II for video and clients love the quality. I use the XH2S for BTS and head talking videos.
I sold my Z8 for financial reasons. Bought XT-5.
Kinda agree with you :/
Great video! Video with fuji GFX series next.
Jealousy, freaking jealous people around us. Your show rocks!
Looking forward to your Hawaii vlogs!
Have you thought about trying the Fuji XM5? It has a flip screen, open gate, and a bunch of other impressive video features (though no IBIS or stabe from what I understand).
I was the happiest when you came back to fuji and now you break my heart again 😭
How much Fuji would you chuck Fuji if you would chuck could chuck Fuji?
