Riding With CHAMPIONS - Team GB Enduro

- Talk about a reality check! I got to ride with riders from the international six days enduro team. Team GB! It was an incredible day. We learn some extreme enduro sections with logs & tyres, a sand track, a grass track section that the enduro GP uses and I also tackle my fears at the motocross track. I learnt a lot and I also realised how fast these champions really are.

Thank you for all your great content - and showing the good, the bad, and the funny!
Really appreciated.
Thank you for enjoying it. Means the world 🙏
Hey man. I know you wont read this but i really really appreciate your videos and they got me back into riding wich helped me through alot of stuff. Thanks man
I read them all my friend and thank you. That’s great to hear
The reason you "suck" as you say, is because of you bailing when you get these opportunities to actually practice it! Im terrible at the track myself but id be damned if I didn't try some more when I'm all the way out there already! You'll get the hang of it with more practice and effort into it!!! Keep on shreddin bro!
Confidence is my biggest floor along with self doubt. I’m working hard on overcoming it but it’s still a challenge, especially when you always ride with incredible riders. I’ve always had imposters syndrome so I’m teaching myself to battle it slowly but surely. Thank you. 🙏
Lol.. just imagine yourself making the obstacles. Once you can go from seeing your crash in your head to seeing you complete something the riding gets better.
I hit logs now in 2nd gear at speed I used to go right around. Couldn't force myself to do it. Stupid eyes and brain work for U... force em to do their job.
@@MidWestMX I have two groups I ride with one I’m the best rider and the other I’m the worst to the first group I try push everyone after I have riden a climb/obstacle before them then explain and teach them how to hit it and the boys have learnt a lot from this and then there’s the other group where I get no pointers or time from anyone and I just have to hit shit and learn on the go. I think you would benefit a lot from someone that is happy to take their time and explain things to you as you go about your day in the bush. I’m not sure how doable that is for you though
Nice job you were sweet over the logs and tyres not bad at all👍
Midwest Enduro..... I thought you did really well, love the vids and commentary as always buddy... don't beat yourself up cos you did GOOood....oh sorry that was meant to say MX or something at the start 😂😂😂👍👍👍👍
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!
i was literally thinking at "ride this like sand ""but i dont know how to ride sand" and then you said it XD
THE KING HAS POSTED AGAIN!
Myself and my son do enduro and just like to say we love you videos and content always watching ur stuff and picking up little tips and advice many thanks keep up the great stuff 👍
Thank you 🙏
Been waiting for these vids 🎉 top man 🙏
I’m glad I’m not the only one with these thoughts in my head on motocross tracks 😂 just got a FX 350 and it’s my goal to learn moto on it other than single track/woods. Love the content brother!
You ride almost as bad as me 😂. Brilliant mate! 👍
Hey man i too am starting out my journey of getting into MX & Enduro, the imposter syndrome is real lol. Hopefully i get through it. your videos help a lot 👍 keep it up brother.
Should have taken the 150 for the MX track! I think with the smaller, lighter bike, you would have kept in the power band a bit more, therfore enjoying it and natruraly become more confident.
Great video as always!
All World!!! Great Video
GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Good work Midwest
bloody hell mate, dont give up on it on the MX track give it ya hardest crack!!! push yourself and FKN SEND IT !!
Great vid love ur work
Wish i could get into this, love ur videos mate keep it up
I used to really struggle with ruts the best thing to do is just ride as many as you can once ur in the rut and can keep in it I’ll be a lot faster just don’t look at them be looking at the next corner or whatever is coming up next. Great video as always 🤙
I love how you commentate in your videos
I learn so much from you that I never knew. Going through a corner? Turning is key. That's brilliant.
Glad it was helpful! 😂
“My opinion” it will help your enduro riding heaps spending more time on a mx track it really helps with your confidence to just hit something without overthinking it and will get you more comfortable going fast in tricky situations. It’s like the opposite to trials but it all works in together to progress you riding
Also getting a xc or a sx will go a long way in riding a mx track I come from a mx background and I can’t ride my exc so save myself on a mx track but my sx250 feels right at home. Even if you get something a little older to learn on iv had my sx since new in 2013
Another reply haha. Iv not been watching many of your videos lately as it’s fairly repetitive but I’d love to see you make progress in a different discipline so plz think about getting into the mx side of things more seriously 😊
wowww
amazing brooo
stay consistan okk🤘🤘
Love the vid, the improvement from start to finish was huge, good job!. I also struggle with confidence on my 300 HE. One thing I do notice is the bike lugging quite a lot just off stall, which is fine on trails but it's stock gearing 14-45 makes first and second a requirement going slow. I have found dropping the gearing to 13-48 or 12 45 to try has livened the bike up, making the clutching up work so much smoother as 1st crawls at walking pace and clutching up in 1st/2nd just mint, but obviously you lose the top speed.
Confidence yes. Not over confident…
Great ride.. 👍
Hi brother, as always good video, motocross is scary, as someone who makes enduro 80% of the time, but i like to hit the track, i can tell you, motocross is super scary at first, dont worry, something that might help with ur confidence, and that helped me, is to set the suspension, for a track, which normally means to put all the settings 8 clicks higher than normally, ( remember to later put it back to enduro setting ) a harder suspension allows u to make way more mistakes without bouncing around or getting kikked off the bike after a big root or a small jump, give it a go buddy, good luck and take it easy ;)
first WOOOO
Nice! 👏
We ride so similarly. Scared of MX, bad in the ruts and just “good” enough to be dangerous 😆
You have two bikes, SHIP ONE TO THE STATES! Let’s ride!
Love that
I found this vid really useful. One of my many errors is I tend to have too much bend to my knees. Doesn’t help I’m tall. I wrote a list of things I needed to work at and realised it was all of it. I’m ok at starting the bike though! It’s interesting seeing your lack of confidence. I’m not at all confident but I see you doubting yourself at things I’d have a go at, yet you’re actually a very skilled rider with years of riding. When you ride enduro you properly fly at and up stuff I’d crawl at and you still can talk into a microphone with ease. It’s very psychological this stuff isn’t it. You run your skill level down too much. Guess it’s because you ride with some top level people a lot so your metric of where the bar for average is like is properly wonky.
Love the videos man, just wondering where you mount your camera
When you turn get up on the tank squeeze your tank pull the clutch in lean and build up rpm and dump the clutch
well done
You earned a sub
I live in South Africa
You should go to moto101 its a nice mx track and it got re-styled nit long ago or the black stag thats also a good one also beginner friendly as im not amazing myself i ride a black and purple bike number 08 if you see me
Its funny you say "been watching to much American youtube" I've been watching your stuff for years and I always catch my self saying "oh mate" and my friends call me weird for it.🤣🤣
It’s crazy right
British humour for you 😂
third wooo
Some tips for motorcross in the corners get on the tank or as close as you can’t lean and give it gave and when you are in ruts flow with the rut dint fight it
As close and you can lean and give it gas
You just earned a sub😂
And keep up the good work bc your vids are entertaining
14 seconds
Yip the hard enduro I'm good at on a yz 85
Have you ever tried steg pegz?
Off topic but carb 2014 or 2019 tpi helpppp which is better
Mate where and how do you get to ride all the incredible places. How do you find these free roam huge expanses of land to play on legally?
do you ride with a chest mount or a chin mount i want to start recording my rides but am unsure on where to mount the gopro
A chin mount. There’s a link in the description of the video 🤟🏼
@@MidWestMX thanks man keep up the wicked content, you should come up to Canada one of these days and rip some of the events up here
The jumps at your age is what's scary, I'm 33 been riding 4-5 years in the summer but jumps just scare me because the fear of injury. Missing work etc.
Hahahahha scared at 33.. we are funny creatures.
The A guys in their 60s wax me and I'm 45..
@woodysrockspyro6436 they have also probably been riding since they were kids or teens and learned everything. When you learn to ride once have a family and kids to provide for you decide breaking bones and missing out on earnings isn't worth the risk. I also do believe Midwest works still, I may be wrong.
@@yukonadventurexc they have been... but I'm catching up. Takes a ton of riding.. I'm about 700hrs in on mine over the last 4 years. Fast B rider now and should move to A class next year.
Hey man where is the link to the training events they do?🙌
More longer videos
should try riding a 4 stroke
4
PUT THE PEE PEE IN THE GAS TANK
Speed is needed for ruts
I know this now
You should have gone into novice as you sure ain't Good 😂
Bro you gotta just open her up, everything will work out after😅
How are you getting hd uploaded to TH-cam?
You have to record it at higher quality. If you are then it could be how you're uploading it. Or you've exported it to a lower quality. Most editing software gives you the option the choose from 480p-4k. It takes TH-cam a while to process a new video to full HD as well.
Which bike is this one?
Ktm 300 exc
The gas tank comment made me lol. What do you guys call it again? Petrol chamber? 🇺🇸
Petrol tank 😏
1
hehe i win by 2 seconds
Look with your eyes man I notice when you come up on a corner you’re looking where you don’t want to go instead of looking where you want to go, also always want shoulders up and wide and always be moving body position
I got told this in training a lot. Just need to practice more
I don't understand why you keep going out on a 300 and not using its potential, you would get a lot more confidence on your 150 then build yourself up .
7th
if you tell yourself that you suck then your going to suck
Actually true
Just a Fanny All the gear no fucking idea? lol
we want to see an e bikeeee as well as the ktm switch it up 💨 👀
Don't buy KTM they suck
I love the vids brother, but you've got to stop telling yourself you "suck". You lack confidence because you mentally tear yourself down...switch the mindset, focus on the fun and get out of your own head (I have to remind myself to do this also in more things than just riding and it works if you're consistent with it). I've seen a lot of your videos and you can tell when you've done exactly that because your riding is much improved and is reflecting your true skill level. Keep the vids coming! ✌️
I love how you commentate in your videos
