if you dont have a smoke machine, its honestly easier and cheaper to replace all the hoses. takes a bit of time but i did that on my car and it was fun and fixed the problem, plus have all new silicone hoses under the hood
Thanks for the comments, it definitely wouldn't hurt to change out all those vacuum lines. With any 20 year old car, things are bound to be dry rotted and cracking. Thanks for hanging out, Cheers!
Thanks for the comments, we would have spent hours looking for that little slit in the hose. Especially since it was located on the bottom of the hose, the smoke machine takes out the guess work. Thanks again for hanging out. Cheers!
I have a brand new 2023 GX460 and at 600 miles started getting the small evap leak code. I had to have a Lexus even though I live 2 hours from a dealer , so it was worth ordering a new $25 Lexus gas cap and trying it. That took care of it for 900 miles, now at 1500 miles I am getting the code again. I can see many trips to the dealer before they can recreate or repair the problem. Moral of the story don't get a new car if a dealer is not close by. I haven't taken a car to a dealer in many years, and I hate the thought of doing it this time. Wasn't expecting this on a new Lexus.
Thanks for sharing, sorry to hear you are having trouble with your 2023 Lexus. But like you said, what good is a warranty if it's not convenient to take the vehicle in for free repairs. Cheers!
Thanks for the question, if you already have a smoke machine that didn't come with an inflatable bladder. You can purchase an inexpensive one that you can use for many projects. www.amazon.com/Expandable-Automotive-Accessories-Inflatable-Diagnostic/dp/B09L5XKSYX Cheers!
Hey David, sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Lexus. We would take a look at those common vacuum lines under the engine cover to see if you can locate any deteriorating hoses. You might be able to locate a bad hose even without the smoke machine. Good luck on your Lexus project, let us know how it goes. Cheers!
Thanks for the comments Leo, appreciate the feedback. We just wanted to show the actual part number for the OEM hose. Of course you could use any piece of hose you'd like and make it work. Cheers!
Wow ! Changing a crankcase vent hose for a evap code 🤣🤣.
This guy is TH-cam certified for sure.
Thanks for the comments Donald, appreciate the feedback. Cheers!

The leak is not always on the hoses.
Smoke machine makes things easy for sure.

That's not an EVAP hose but good demonstration of a smoker.
Thanks for the comments Joe, we added vacuum to the description to be more clear. Glad you enjoyed the, thanks again for the feedback.

Hi, I have this problem on my 06 ES 330. I live in Massachusetts 😟😟

absolutely 😊 thank you so much! I'll take a look tomorrow.
This guy is full of shit don't listen to him. I use many different hoses for my PC v system on the exact same engine and had no problems.
