Yeah. It would make a good movie or TV series... Unfortunately, like most new Shows or Movies it would have to be woke / feminist, and the story would suffer greatly. The writers and Directors would want to "Do their own thing." Which would be a woke dumpster fire. Then when it fails, they would blame it on the fans. Calling us all Misogynist or Racist. Just because we wanted a good story and not a message. As a result this story would die, Just like Star-Wars, and so many others. Another victim of garbage ideology.

@@redrexgames8458 Only a United effort can stop Hollywood. We all have to stop buying movie tickets and streaming subscriptions. Stop watching the Woke and Feminist shows and movies. Until that happens, Hollywood and other main stream outlets will continue to push "The Message."

Unfortunately, this was human written. The output of such talent is a tiny, tiny, fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the AI stories we get to hear. And SOME ARE AMAZING. But the prompter has to -know how to prompt generative AI- and that is usually not the case. Most people spit out basic, generalized prompting and never tell it NOT to use star trek names, NOT to leave unopened plots, NOT to use a singular plot but ensure to include several completing, relating, and intertwining subplots, and NOT to name every admiral, Admiral Hawk or Hawkins.... okay I kinda like that every space admiral is a Hawkins. It just sounds right. It's just easy to accept and some people get to feel like the AI is writing a story of their lineage's future.
did anyone else hear sporadic voices while listening to the story? every so often I would hear another voice utter a word or two and then go silent for another random amount of time.

This was amazing 77 ! I had no idea when i started that i was going to casually listen to one of the best pieces of sci-fi i have ever heard.
I’d love to have an alternative viewpoint of the human military leaders meeting. “Wait, they’re getting their asses kicked by a bunch of wasps? Someone deploy the giant cans of hair spray and those long charcoal lighters.”
A playlist for each overall story would be great.

Whatever text to speech you are using it sucks at reading numbers.
Not only that, certain words are wrongly pronounced and confused the subtitle AI xD (e.G Null ships turning into Knoll Ships)

Idk why probably because I was really high but hearing the humans coming to rescue and saying “we stand by our friends to the end” fucked me up and I was tearing up thinking “fuck yeah” to myself haha
I NEED more of tis in my life. As an iraq veteran, i love that we stopped our bullshit. And as a veteran there is a fine line between being seen as a "hero" and being seen as a monster. As i dont ALWAYS agree with the Punisher, i agree with what he said to Daredevil in that everybody in experiencing their worst possible day is only one day away from being him.i have done bad things in war, and i try to be peaceful. But if you mess with my friends or family you will see a one minded fury you wiĺ not shake from. Most veterans are the same. Sorry for the rant. But the last few minutes of President Lopez talking about what happens is hitting me. I have watched where i grew up become a gang turf where is used to be a sleepy little neighborhood. I understand wanting to fix things but also wanting to be lawful and on the "good guys" side. But good guys dont fight wars, soldiers do. And more often than not they are rough and tumble, crass, and offensive. The older o get, the more i want peace, but still prepare for war.

77, thank you for writing a HFY story that didn't hinge on other highly advanced alien species being ridiculously naive and ignorant compared to humans. It was a lovely listen.

While I love these stories, I feel compelled to echo what others have commented with better words in regards to the AI Narration:
"its like Jeremy Clarkson narrating and having mini strokes while drinking vodka" and "The best parts of these narrations are the AI artifacts left in it. Suddenly hearing the AI choke and die, spasm, or having some kind of anxiety attack always sends me laughing."

Great story. Although I think my favorite bits were the rouge Queen that wanted peace. Wish we had just a little more. Listening to her learning sign language was great. May have to listen to this again.
Hope to see a second part to this story about the enemy that looms in the insectoids past. This kinda reminds me of Mass Effect a little bit. 77 here is to a great story and thank you for posting it here.
I can’t believe I actually listened to this whole thing, normally I have a 10 minute attention span. I’m glad I did though and can’t wait for more. Also the random barnyard noises just got funnier as it went along.
Here's my fanfic about this storytelling.
Humans used to be the most powerful being in the universe. It was just one. War was washed on it and it couldn't be beaten, so they split is confidante and now each individual human is just a fraction of the being they used to be.
Very interesting story. Just finished the 7 hour version. Looking forward to a sequel. Also a 77 as requested.
By all the Gods i finally finished this 7 hour story, i love it, is there a next chapter or a follow up on the events of this story, it is very compelling especially if there is an unknown threat still out there

it's like the author took the best parts of the Starship Troopers book and combined it with the best parts of the Starship Troopers movie with a little bit from the Dune universe, fantastic story

I need a sequel. This is the most riveting sci-fi story I have seen in a long time and I NEED to know... Will peace be achieved. Who is this mystery race that nearly eradicated the insect race? Will the combined might of the republic, the Commonwealth, and the insectoids be enough to overcome a race that has been expanding for possibly thousands of years more than us?
Our ability to create actually comes from war.

One request -- could you please add a few more graphics to your stories? Not video, just still images as you already have. Example -- when describing a particular race, replace the grimly resolved young woman's face with what you imagine the being to look like. OR -- Joe, in her cracked helmet. Illustrations not merely for the sake of pretty pictures, but to increase the viewer's understanding.

This is parts 1-30 or something. The author is still writing and communicates with this page when there are updates. I was saying the same thing 3 months ago when the story was only 1.5 hours long so he is working on it.
