My review: If you liked Judgement, you’ll like Lost Judgement. If you didn’t like the parts of Judgement that made it different than Yakuza, you probably won’t like it. If you haven’t played a Yakuza game, play 0 or Kiwami first because they have more immediate appeal. If you like those, you’ll probably like Judgement. If not, you won’t.
Seriously this game looks amazing to me. Its beautiful looking (I've been playing the yakuza HD collection so how far the series has come looks amazing)
Remember, IGN reviewing a Sega game has the same credibility as a corrupt politician, the analysis is full of exaggerations in the mechanics, the critic apparently does not know how to play and is very clumsy, does not explore the details of the game, perhaps He was missing briefcases of money is the only explanation for such a dire analysis, and those troubles prove it.
Yup, just watch acg's review, an actual credible reviewer, or skill up's, at least they explain themselves very clearly compared to these asshats at ign.

My brother in Christ, it explicitly says that run is activated by pressing the but once, while skating is by holding. It’s present in the footage. The same was true for the previous game where you just needed to press the button once to enable sprint.
Stop obsessing over numbers, anyone who's played the previous entry would know a lot of the issues mentioned in the video was present in Judgement. If you a fan of the series, you would ignore the issues and pick one up anyways. Yet this doesn't mean the game's perfect, and with Nagoshi leaving Sega for Netease, who knows what the future holds.

It got me thinking after playing a few hours of yakuza like a dragon today why they get such harsh reviews and that it could be whats putting people off (like me) that actually enjoy them. They completely miss out the fact the games are like TV shows. They can be light hearted but also have really serious stories aswell.

Im not sure where the very first footage in this video is from in relation to story but I'm up to chapter six and wasnt expecting to see a story beat from something more than 8 hours in, in the first seconds of watching this video
People, don't form your opinion on the game just based on one review. A large number of reviews are 8.5s and above, so this is more of an outlier. The average score is around the same as the original Judgment, a little bit higher in fact.
@Nanda Kishor skill up also gave cyberpunk very high score skipped the obvious performance issues and bugs and missing features... He is still worth listen to.
Maybe its gameplay mechanics are not the best, but always the greatest strength of the Yakuza/Judgement series is that it has Heart. The main missions/side-cases have stories that are smart, funny, heart-warming or heart-wrenching. Unlike most games where characters face fantasy-based problems (e.g. saving the world, surviving an apocalypse, fighting evil etc.), this series is about characters who faced real-life problems such as family, financial, relationship, social issues etc which are reminiscent of people living in Japan. More gamers really should give the Yakuza/Judgement series a shot!
Ive always loved the sense of humor in the yakuza series and the strange/funny stories along the way. A lot of great people in the world to meet, each side mission felt unique even if not all that impactful towards the overarching story which makes it all the better. They do a great job of fleshing out the world

In most gaming publications one reviwer is made to review an entire series of games to bring some consistency. Now IGN veiwers will think this game is a downgrade from the first.
