I bought a Boss 7'6" straight because i have to get in some tight spaces. I also bought the Boss wings for it.... make my straight into a 10' scoop. Simple is great... thinking about a pull plow next. Great video
The wings are a great addition. I would love to get a tailgate plow eventually, would be so nice to just back up to a garage drop the blade and drive out! Thanks!
You can runthe v plow like straight blade press middle the buttons and it will angle left and right just like straight blade and scoop and v by pressing the top two buttons or bottom two same time not sure if you know that or not juts thot say somthing some dealers won't show you that for some reason
@@louch.landscapes interesting… I want the 9’ 2” but the boss dealer doesn’t recommend putting it on my 2500 gasser I now see that most guys run the 9 2 on Diesel trucks
Hmm, I'm not sure, I was never told that but that could be right. I will say that I noticed a big difference this year when I mounted the DXT on the Diesel version of the RAM 2500, the front end is definitely a lot beefier. The gas performed well still, but you could feel the plow a lot more on the front end.@@Snortolodmyr-SS-Cokelensky
Thank you, great explanation
I was looking for a straight Vs v-plow, pros & cons video, so this was great!
Thanks, happy to hear it helped!
Bought my first Boss v plow in 1989. I’m on my second one now still going strong ,only problem I’ve had is from running into things.👍
Wow, not a bad return on investment! Thanks for watching, take care!

does the straight blade have float option if you tap the center button?
Yes sir! You cannot disconnect without first putting the plow into float mode.
Have a super duty Boss 8’ first season ever plowing added some wings on it no complaints but first season experience
Nice, I thought about adding the wings to mine as well but thought it might stick out a little too far on either side.
Ryan Knorr?
There are speed buttons on V plow controller.
Can you use the v plow controlle ron the straight blade
No, unfortunately not.
Yes, you can! I've done it many times. A straight control will even run a v plow, but it will function just like a straight.
What truck are you running? 2500 or 3500
2500
@@louch.landscapes thank you sr.
You're welcome! You just need to make sure that the truck has the snow plow prep package. @@tortuga407
@@louch.landscapes yes sr. Just called I need to upgrade a little
V plow size ? 9’2?

Neither one is that good without wings.
You have wings on your v plow?
@@louch.landscapes i have a winged straight that sits right at 9ft. I'd run wings on an 8'6 V though and feel comfortable going down the road.
Wings on the straight would nice, I think it would be a little much on my 9.2 v plow but may be not@@jamesnm21
Is that diesel or a 6.4L ?
Both were gas at the time - the RAM I have now is a Diesel though, this will be my first snow season with a Diesel so we'll see how it performs!
