Hey Joel, Just came across this video. It's really nice to see that even a far for island in Thailand also has a thriving Indian restaurant. Even nicer you see you relive your childhood times with those bhajiyas/pakora. It's lovely that you enjoy Indian food. You like hot spicy, check if any place offers "Laal Maas". Mutton cooked in red chilli gravy. It's from the state of Rajasthan. Goes well with roti/naan/rice. A few add on,- - Basmati rice is mostly used in Northern parts of India. In the Eastern and North Eastern parts, we prefer smaller grains. We have many varieties of rice. We have a few fragrant/aromatic rices as well. Also, we eat sticky rice and few states have red and black rices as well. In the southern states, they eat a more puffier variety of rice. - Roti are made of different kind of flours. A normal tawa roti/chapatti or a tandoori roti is made of "Atta", which is unrefined wheat flour and has more fiber in it. Good for the gut, specially the Chakki Atta, grinded with the bran. - Naan is typically made of "Maida", which is the refined finer wheat flour/all purpose flour. Sometimes, the maida is kneaded with a yogurt and water. Then, leaf to rise a little. - In Pakistan and Muslim areas in Northern India use a little yeast as a leaven agent in the dough. Again, Atta is used. Those rotis are called "Khameri Roti", slightly more fluffy and drier than normal Tandoori Roti. - "Kheer" is rice cooked in Milk (cow/buffalo) and sugar. Dry fruits and flavours like rose water/kewra(Pandan leaf) is also used. Garnised with crushed nuts or cardamom power.

You know I have been to this exact place, it’s one of the more beautiful places I’ve ever been in Thailand, and if you are not a policeman or soldier dressed in uniform then you will have the best welcome effort. Are you already planning the next trip, it’s just very far away, but I guess basically I would like to say you do not need to be afraid of this area at all. It’s one of the coolest parks in all of Thailand or even Southeast Asia
Yesss yes and yes , authentic indian food, thick curries, chutneys and roti. My ex husbands mum(pakistani) makes her onion bhajis like this but calls them pakora so also sliced potato and chicken in the batter. Here in uk our indian food in restaurants is mostly british indian food (like the restaurant you went for christmas) which i also love and onion bhajis are thicker like balls same as i make them . Chutneys are completely different between authentic and british indian takeaways as well. Naan has fat sometimes yeast with plain wheat flour sugar yoghurt(sometimes) whereas chapatis / roti is just roti flour and water and oil. I believe indian food in any form is my favourite and I especially love all the vegetable dishes . ❤️

You had something unusual in Thailand, I had an unusual Thanksgiving in the USA. Just 6 of my kids and 2 of their spouses went to Huntington Beach in SoCal for the day. They swam and we made a bon fire, and then ate Thai food for dinner on the beach around the bon fire. Not the usual Thanks giving dinner. Tacos for lunch earlier. I hope you thoughts of turkey that day.

But talking in terms of CHILI spice, like pure heat, then Thai is much hotter than Indian, across the board. In general Thai could be considered the spiciest food in the world, but again that’s only for chili heat… ♥️
