- Welcome back guys! Sorry for the delay getting this one out.
This week's video we take a little day trip up to Santa Cruz. The main purpose of the trip is to get some clay so we decided to just make a whole day out of it. :)
Restaurants:
Ranch Milk
Lupulo Brewery
Barceloneta
El Rosal Bakery get the elote tamales and some cuernos!
Favorite Taco Spots Mentioned:
El Paisa by Los Alegres Taco Truck - we really LOVE the way they cut the lengua for the tacos
El Grullense E&E on 795 Fifth Ave great tacos and the best horchata. Head to the grocery store across the street for good mexican bread. Cash only for the panaderia.
Ranch milk is such a random spot to visit lol. My ex from high school, her dad used to own that place.
very nice video like watching you to go out in the bay area and try new places may have to try some of these spots when i go out to santa cruz..😀😀
Candy Rain!!! That song in the beginning was a bop in the 90s
Good videos move people. Just like when you started talking about pan dulce and now I’m getting ready to drive to the panaderia
Haha 100% on the 4th grade mission building. Completed my mission in 1984 at a school in San Diego. Up all night the night before due date gluing sugar cubes together in shape of a mission damn near past midnight, stressed as hell back in 4th grade doing that mission project!!…love both of your guys channels, wife and I enjoy watching…big sip of IPA cheers to you.
Good video. Just a suggestion. Can you show the sites more? The areas you’re in. Felt like I’m just watching the two of you chew.
You guys should of tried carnitas Trejo in Watsonville if you wanted some good carnitas and you should of also tried Mobo sushi in down downtown Santa Cruz.
Hey guys. Santa Cruz! My ol' hangout on some weeksends at the Broadwalk. I saw a shark take a guy 'whole' there in84'.🤔 Very bad memory😮. Well, anyway, good video, great looking munchies. Memphis, 10
I so miss northern cal for all the food. Best Gelato in RC on El Camino but that was 40 years ago b4 Gelato was a thing!! Best pasties was in SSF near the bus district!! Wow so many memories😊
Great video Jocelyn & Taku! Loved all the delicious variety of foods.
Thanks for sharing!!!
I know it's a long shot, but if you guys ever come to the eastern sierras in Plumas County, CA and go lake fishing for big rainbows and browns there is a Mexican bakery and restaurant just over the border in Nv. It's in North reno on stead Blvd. They have tamales for $2.50 each. I always get the cheese and jalapeño. They will make you sweet. I own an RV Park in Portola if you ever make it up here.
Hey, lovin the food crawls, excellent food🎉.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Lived in Santa Cruz while I was in college. I miss it so much.
If it was affordable, Santa Cruz, Monterey, or Big Sur would be amazing to live in.
Just got my kelp chili crisp and that thing is the bomb! I’ve heard you say it’s good with everything and it really is. My new favorite.
Glad you like it!
Looks absolutely delicious! Tacolyn the world… 😂
😂😂
Great video! I miss the Bay Area as well (hubby from Oakland/Richmond). Hello from Texas. I will be making tamales soon as well here for my hubby's work site.
Yay!!! Santa Cruz adventure looks like fun!!! 😍🥰🍻🍺
When I was a military kid living in Germany my mom made and sold ceramics as a side hustle. She sold tacos too. LoL
I love how you guys brought the soda stream to the hotel. I’d do that too haha
Yes, the Mexican restaurant at the Shell gas station in Pescadero is fantastic..!!!
hey guys there is a place in san jose by keys and 2nd streed those carnitas are even bether de the ones in gilroy is a very small place is call carnitas el rincon if you wanted to try best carnitas in the bay
Dude that’s in Watsonville right by my house and I didn’t get to meet you guys!!!!!
el campeon in socal is the best buche and carnitas tacos.... you could go to trestles and surf then try el campeon... there are some good unknown breweries such as docent brewing "gimme" is to me just as good as pliny
Loved seeing Joselyn just jive in the beginning! That definitely set the mood for the video. : ) Get on that pottery life; it would be beautiful and completely realistic to make plates, cups, serving platters for OCL use! I also get how that can be too much pressure with everything she provides to the channel.
I like to hear the prices on some of the foods you eat. I had to look up what some consider the best tamales in Detroit. Evie’s Tamales go for $16.00 a dozen. But when the food is good the price is irrelevant! Thanks again!
Nice to see you guys in Santa Cruz!
12:48 God Damnnnnn! That autofocus lol!!
If you guys are ever near Corning there is a taco truck near the big truck stop off the 5 that has some of the best tacos. Amigos de Alcapulco is the name.
Hello Tako and Jocelyn enjoying the great video Santa Cruz, Ca what you are eating look delicious jocelyn. Tako are you eating burrito?
San jose has the best tacos I’m nor cal! Humble seas is a super good brewery also
Ayyy ranch milk is in my hometown Watsonville!!! Crazy
Cabeza is my favorite ! For tacos as well 😅
Did you guys go to el rosel or something similar to that name for the pan and tamales?
If you're in the Yakima valley, Sunnyside has bomb mexican food. A lot of taco wagons and restaurants. Michoacan style.
Lengua is the ONLY way to go for tacos. My #1 fav and its sometimes really difficult to find.
What’s the spot in Redwood City that has the best tacos? Love all your content btw! Been watching y’all since the og days. Blessings to you both! ❤
You can get good corn tamales at the gas station at the corner of Winchester and Morepark in San Jose
Tacos ameca? The one in Gilroy. That one is fire
Being local to the central and northern Cali coast, it’s nice to see you’ll showing the beauty of our home state!
Thanks for posting!
Wow what camera do yall use? That Focus was instant on the Tamales. awesome
The best Mexican food is in Southern California 😊 try Central coast and north of California, but it’s not the same.
The tacos looked great 👍
Special Noodle in Santa Cruz is very good if you want some Soup Dumplings
Looks so yummy 🤤

Thank you! :D
Santa Cruz? Whaaa-aa-at? Just an fyi, highly recommend Shogun Japanese Restaurant on Pacific. Keep up the awesome work. And, take care.
You guys should go watch an Ohtani Dodgers game and try some ballpark food.
Sangria was a concoction to help make questionable wine palatable. Cheers
I love that 😂
It is also a good place for grappa, but that is a whole other story.
You're back together again. Santa Cruz for clay? Well, if you start having episodes at night, then we will know Santa Cruz is the vampire capital. The paella looks bomb
Cabeza torta is where it's at. Or barbacoa
hey can you share what you use to shoot videos with? looks great
Pass it Left is made by Left Hand Brewing Co
a dozen homemade tamales here are $22. Homemade and they are the bomb!
What you visiting my home town? I would love to see a fishing video in Santa Cruz
Adore y'all and been watching for quite awhile. Not sure how to ask, but... Is there any chance of backing off the mouth mics while you're eating?
No disrespect meant.
Many Blessings,
K.T.
SMH ...Wow! 🙄
I was hear to say that as politely as possible too. Maybe some background music or the mic not so close to the mouth 😬

I've been watching them since almost the beginning and honestly never noticed it until this particular video.
Thank you for backing me up.
Blessings
Try Venus Spirits if you're still in the area............ cocktails and food are insanely good..... so is Akira on Soquel ........ good luck
If you have Misophonia, prepare yourself. HOLY😅
Whaaaaat?! You disin' Oakland? C'mon now!
I’m from Santa Cruz
Y’all should of gone to Oswald’s
No Tripas tacos?!?! Dang!
That's "sweat", sorry. And it's not Portola valley it's Portola, plumas county. Happy trails.
Which places do you like in Redwood City? I work near 5th Ave. They have some gas station tacos. Is that the place you spoke of? Also, which taco truck are you referring to?
If you want the VERY BEST Shrimp Tacos, go to Las Michaocanas in East Palo Alto. They have a food truck next to the Ikea in EPA.
Where did you get the white sweatshirt from? :D

Fleet foxes ragged wood
Listening to Jocelyn talk about food made me realize her potential for ASMR
Don't do that crap. It nauseates me, and I think it is a gross trend.
I’m from Gilroy! Which place has good carnitas??
Lots of vampires in Santa Cruz. They'll lure you in with Carnitas and sweet bread. Cuidado.😆
Haha I think we need to watch The Lost Boys. haven't watched it. :')
Am i first??? Hey Taku and Joselyn!!!
No youre 3rd
I didn’t see Santa Cruz?? Lmao
True. I agree. Some videos I would like to see more of the surroundings.
I guess I’m just used to their regular channel where they’re “Outdoors” all the time. 🤣
Gay mmm tacos 🌮
Love you guys but I bet you would get 10x more views if the channels name was simple to remember. Not to late to change!

My 14 year old daughter said your teeth are so nice and very white. Any tips 😂
Do you notice Tacu mostly closes his eyes and makes his yummy face when he is eating his own food.
Like Mark Wiens?!-lol
Have to leave. Eating sounds are triggering
The eating noises at the end uncomfy idk how you can chew with your mouth closed and it be just as loud as you talking.
