Have a Genzler 350 and 12x1 Cab and the re/Q. Guess I must be a Genzler groupie. Great stuff. Great tone. And really easy to dial in. And Jeff Genzler is a really sweet and helpful guy.
A good EQ - and understanding how to use it - is worth its weight in gold. The example with the Mustang bass in particular shows how you can tighten up the bottom end and revoice the mids to the point at which it sounds like a different, and much more flexible instrument.
Genzler is Coming out with some well thought out gear but this is not surprising as Genzler's former company Genz Benz made good bass amps as well, ...... anyway Good informative video yet again, I love Bass The World 😀
The Eq Frequencies are placed between the EQ points on the Magellan amps as well giving you 8 band. They also set it o to be more responsive around noon and less at the extremes making everything more musical.
You guys should check out the Whirlwind 10 Band Bass EQ. I got one a couple months ago, and I'm still blown away by it. It makes your bass sound better even flat. They chose great frequencies for each band. It's by far the best pedal I've ever owned.
Thats what I'm wondering: This Genzler ( which sounds great ) or Tech 21 Q-Strip or Empress Para EQ or Boss EQ-200 ( I do like the presets for different songs, and volume compensation going from single coils to humbucker ) - Nice Demo. oNe LovE from NYC

It isn’t the last eq I will ever need if it isn’t a preamp with a DI. There will always have to be some other eq or gain stage after it
