    Magnus with an insane 98% accuracy in a fisher random game, with no previous opening analysis. That is crazy.

    • @FranNDR
      @FranNDR 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +3

      They get a few minutes before the beginning of each round to analyse the starting position chosen, plus possibly randomly the might remember some sort of ideas with a given set-up just like Fabi was explaining the other day, but I agree it's completely insane

      Both players had that. Nothing important to mention @@FranNDR

    I think Fischer-random will have an interesting future. Probably some of the starting positions must be eliminated because they favour White too much, but overall it allows finding new ways for theory.

      Fischer random is the superior chess format. I bet if they made a grand champion title like Magnus said, he would hold it for 10+ years

    Magnus did a great job getting his pieces to optimal squares he had a good idea of how to go about forming a great attack . Nodirbek could not find any good counterplay . Cool game fun tournament great players Thanks Agadmator

      Most of the time. I find agads presentation much more enjoyable to watch than the "professional" commentators that call it like the world cup. I aprreciate the enthusiam they may bring for the younger audiences but i personally find it terribly distracting.
      Also on a side note, i have never understood why the board they (the live commentators) play around with is front and center when the live board is crunched in the bottom corner. While i do enjoy exploring different lines in chess, the live board should be front and center while they "play" in their little corner. I didn't come to watch them play.

    This is one of those positions in Fischer random that it seems like white has a major advantage

    • @miguelcanoe6774
      @miguelcanoe6774 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Yep white has huge advantage. One of the only Games of Magnus that I have ever watched where I predicted every single freaking move. I know 98% accuracy sounds amazing but if a little old me can pull it off then it’s probably not that big of an accomplishment. Not to take anything at all away from Magnus the man, the legend. But this particular randomization just handed it to White.

    This is one of those "960" opening positions that clearly favour White. There's no point even playing it.
    That's why the standard arrangement offers so much possibility for either side -- there are no exploitable weaknesses out of the gate.

    One of the DISADVANTAGES of Fischer Random is that we, the viewers, who are almost ALL much more poorly skilled than the players, ALSO have to spend some 15 minutes evaluating the opening position. And yes, I know there's the "pause" button, but I watch these things from the comfort of a recliner; my monitor is on a desk; and as far as I know, the remote control for computer monitors has yet to be invented.

It reminds me of people playing against Djokovic ar grand slams, being 12 years younger and after losing 1 set, just playing it out not changing up anything tactically... At least play on and let him earn it, its not like he is checkmating him in 2 moves, don't just resign

      @miguelcanoe6774 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I would love that , especially if there was some occasional slight randomization to the rating system. That would just make me smile. It would be in the spirit of fisher random to one day, wake up with the same rating as Magnus and the next day to wake up With the same rating as little old me. Who doesn’t want to be a GM for just one weekend and see how it goes online. How else am I ever going to get to play Fabiano Caruana? I just don’t see any other way For that to happen.
