My 83 yo mother is currently lying in hospital with kidney failure. Jesus is with me, Jesus is with my mother. We accept God's plan. A few days ago I was destroyed by my intrusive thoughts but we need to cling on to our faith, it is the only thing that gets us through this. God bless you Dennis.

I can cause you to die of a slow death; it does not kill you instantly. The scriptures advise us to guard our heart and mind at all times. I know every single place where you stopped off, Jimmy. JR is a sweetheart! That’s the car wash my sis and I go to. 😁 I grew up in Barstow and although I’ve lived around the world, as the saying goes, “You always return to Barstow.” It can be a blessing for some and a curse to others as it depends on what kind of decisions you make in life. I returned home to Barstow to take care of my parents who both now have passed away. I am the caretaker of my sister who is disabled. We have rescued our pets and I’ve trained our dogs to be service dogs for my sister (and my father as a veteran before he passed away). Just like JR mentioned, I was never involved in drugs and volunteered 1.5 years of my life as a proselyting and medical missionary in the Pueblo’s and Amazon of Bolivia as well as in other states in the US. I am glad you are highlighting our town and the good people here. Side note: just like my mom and her 10 brothers and sisters along with her parents, there was an exodus of families that left New Mexico to come to California and settled in Barstow. There are three military bases here and nearby and people not only came for the gold rush but also to work on the railroad and on the military bases. Family is so important and I don’t regret coming back home. Time is way too short and you really don’t know when God will ask for his sons and daughters to return home. My mother’s birthday is at the end of this month and this clip sparks the good memories I shared with her as we volunteered together in helping out others in our community. Take care and for those that may also be grieving, may you be surrounded with love and good memories, when times get rough. 🙏🏽🤍 God bless!

Hey Jimmy my family is in need of a good prayer my mom is been in the hospital since March 17th fighting for her life. She has about died on a few times the doctors told us she wouldn't make it the day she went in and today she is still fighting and in need of a miracle.

I had a doctor's appointment 3 weeks ago for a CT scan. I was told that I have a tumor on my left temperal lobe, they didn't tell me the size, they just said that they caught it early enough that they are going to try medication first which is some kind of steroid that starts now (I have the medication) and have an appointment with a Neurologist in June. We are praying and believing that when I go in June, the tumor won't be there. Thank you in advance. God Bless.

Just bicycled 3000 miles with 3 dogs last summer, a man put industrial strength roundup in my service dogs water, and I had to sell my cheap land to save his life. haven’t had a home or a family for 20 years. @Nick-ux7es Whilst religion can shine a light on how to treat people, it's not the sole reason for people to show love and respect to others.
Many religions state that in order to reach Heaven, Valhalla, Jannah, olam ha-ba etc one needs to live a sinless life. What does that say about nonbelievers who care and show love.
People should believe in what they wish.
