Perfect for the sandbars etc… I have a 242 and plan on getting a 252, sits on a lift in Bradenton. A lot of boat for the $. Down side is anything beyond plugs and oil changes for service. Lots of options if you get a boat with outboards.
They handle great and are very fun. I own a 242x in Miami Florida. I would recommend staying close to the shore and use around sandbars and inlets given that it’s not really made for open water where tides and waves can get high quickly. The main downside is the saltwater….it will kill your engines and many parts of the boat quickly unless you’re very disciplined about flushing and cleaning it after every use. You also can’t keep these boats in the salt water for slips, the jet-nozzles will be ruined by the salt and organic growth…They need to be stored outside on the trailer or racks.
@@jayd1008agree, I have a friend that owns a 21ft Jetboat and went out fishing deep in open water. He then ran into a scary time when the weather shifted on him suddenly. The bow of this boat is low and with 4-5 ft waves he was taking in a lot of water. He made it back ok, but it was not a fun experience
We have the 2023 SD
it a very luxury feeling vessel, @ a lower end price point
We love it!!
really nice boat and a great walkthrough as well. Lake Allatoona has the best striped Bass in the region!
nice,,, would be better with some trim buttons,,,, rides really bow low without the trim
I would really appreciate if there was some information on how good these boats are in the Ocean, like the Golf of Mexico of Sarasota, FL.
100% awesome ! and can tell you they handle great excellent on fuel ... . .
