Excellent work. Absolutely stunning. Question: what is the name of the bit you are using in the rotary tool? Thanks. Subscribed and can't wait for more!
Looks so cool - well done! Can ask you, how hot is your plaster mold when you pour the aluminium? Maybe also what temperature is the aluminium when you pour it?
So... in my mind this is how it works, correct me if I'm wrong! You make or print a 3D model on a printer Make a silicone mold with that model Make a wax casting from that mold (and you can re-use it) Use that wax casting to make a plaster mold and melt out the wax Then finally cast a metal object from the plaster mold?
Lost wax casting has been around for thousands of years. You don't even have to go through the 3-D printing part...you can just carve something out of wax. And since it's wax, fixing mistakes is simple.
This is really good. Can I ask what is the kind of green wax that the sculpture seems to be made out of at the beginning of the video? Is it just green casting wax?
@@DCastings thanks for the helpful response. Could I ask where did you purchase it as I would like to get some myself. Is there a particular website I could get it from? Cheers
@@NightWolf-vv5me You can do either or both. You can make a 3-D print, make a silicone mold, cast it in wax, then go back and modify the wax. This technique has been around for thousands of years (we literally have lost wax castings from 4,000 BC). Sculptors would use a special type of sculpting wax, which you can add material to by melting wax and attaching it. They could get hyper-detailed sculpts because it's both a additive and reductive sculpting method, which makes fixing mistakes easier. In other words, 3-D printers make this process easier, but it's entirely possible to Michelangelo this shit and carve from a single, solid piece of wax.
Amazing just watched both your videos back to back and can't wait for more
thank you
You’re super talented this is amazing keep going man!
Very impressed I just wonder how you got the mould.
👏👏
Just subscribed. You are my 'go to' aluminum casting pro for now. Regards.
thankyou !
Looks beautiful!

Amazing skills and process 👏
I wish I had 1/10 of your sculpting ability

Beautiful my friend. How you carve this wax sculpture.
Should have been explaining what you were doing as it did it. I have no idea what you did or what materials you used.
Nicely done 👍
can you put a detailed video only of sculpting from scratch

This is really good.. Can I know what is that white liquid you used for make mold?
it's plaster
Wow beautiful ❤️ work
Please when I pour the melted copper into the heart it starts to boil and the resulting shape is distorted why
because your baking time is not enough, the mold is still damp
@@DCastings I thought so, thanks my friend
Woo that’s amazing
Incrível 👏👏👏👏
Respect. Great work!
Just curious, do you cast with the flask cooled down or what temperature is your flask when pouring?

It's a specialized modeling wax in the jewelry industry

@@Brenners2010 I don't have online store info, I bought it at a jewelry store near my house
You can get wax specifically made for lost wax casting. It's usually just called "sculpting wax."
Great job
Explain how you make the wax mold so we know how to recreate this process thanks
Nevermind...after my own research I see it comes from 3d Printing and finding design files on cgtraders
The wax mold
@@baldemarkjmejia4077 I'm asking what method did you hse to get a hulk with all those fine details. Did you sculpt or use 3d printer?

@nekrataali appreciate the reply thanks. Yeah I aint Michelangelo at all. Shit I'll probably 3d print it and alter a wax mold
Chúc những nỗ lực của anh sớm được đền đáp xứng đáng. Tiếp tục quảng bá kênh nhé anh.
cảm ơn bạn
Excuse me for your comment. Is the temperature of the plaster mold when putting aluminum low? Please professor.
about 200 degrees celsius
@@DCastings
Thank you
Magnificent
Did you use regular plaster or is it a special plaster?
Thanks
specialized plaster used in the jewelry industry
Great Job👍
What is the process at 1:38?
Vacuum to remove air bubbles in plaster
@@DCastings Intersting. I thought the opposite. Because plaster has a low permeability. So you need to get air there
Nice!
Hello! How many hours do you dry plaster?
about 2 hours
Awesome
Which sand?
Now i know why i bought a coping saw 😅
I wish I had 5 thumbs up. Outwork!
th-cam.com/video/Q-0fdOmKb48/w-d-xo.html I wonder what this drill attachment is called?
Very nice thanks for sharing
Damn awesome!
bác đánh bóng nhôm bằng gì thế ạ
đánh phá bằng giấy nhám từ thô tới mịn, rồi đánh bóng bằng lơ+phớt đánh bóng kim loại bác nhé
@@DCastings cảm ơn bác 😘😘😘
What type of plaster do you use? The one I used always cracked
specialized plaster in the jewelry industry, it is not the same as plaster in construction
@@DCastings thank u my friend
How do u made the hulk?
amazing
dope
Wah
Makes me cringe using coping saw towards fingers.
on coals bro!
