The design is the best Camry, especially the exterior! Its so sporty! Seems Camry became better and better while Accord got worse and worse in terms of design, engine and reliability!
It’s funny that his interior dislikes are no problem for me but he didn’t mention of my complaints lol. Truly is personal. Where are the power folding mirrors ? The clear coat on paint scratches too easily. The center console springs are annoying and it’s not soft enough. I wish the cockle had a light inside. The JBL speakers are not as good as my Bose in the Mazda CX-5. The front doors sound cheap when I close them. The trunk needs a pull down handle and LED light. Mine did not come with a carpet floor mat or all weather floor mat, I had the dealer throw them. No problem getting them from parts dept no extra charge to me. The chime when I lock the doors beeps 6 times when I lock the car with lighting stalk left in auto. I would prefer less piano black plastic around gear shifter. I miss a sunglasses holder due to my panoramic roof. At times it’s hard to grab the seat belt because it’s mounted so close B-Pillar. I feel like the plastic flexes too much on the front center tunnel unlike my Mazda that has no flex when I push on it, yes it’s a nitpick. But I was able to pay for my new Camry in full which I’m thankful for being able to save the money. The dealers in Oklahoma are taking $2000 off MSRP.
I believe the reason the headrest is like that is to prevent whiplash. If you're the type of person who likes to lean the chair back a lot it doesn't feel as bad because you're not looking down when resting your head normally
I work for Toyota and at my plant we build XSE SUV's as well as Limited and Platinum. That rain sensor is only available on trims Limited and above, which the Camry doesn't have.
The new design is starting to grow on me. The body colored grille is what made me on the fence with the new front end. The Two tone with the white looks great though. The wind chill with the cockpit red seats is the best color combo for these
I agree regarding the head restraints. Honda has a safe design that prevents whiplash also but the angle is not as severe and they are much more comfortable.
My 25 xle has auto wipers and memory seats, head up display and cooled seats. The xle is the top trim the xse cost more because the “sports” rims, bumpers, and suspension. The xse can not get rain sensing wipers nor memory seats.
I almost did not make it through the wind portion. Glad I stuck with it. We will have had ours for 3 months this week. Even though we do not daily the car we still have managed to pot on about 2200 miles. Some of them were just driving around enjoying having a new car. How did you manage that many miles in such a short time. Do you drive it for work or really far to get there?
Nikes are for cool, asics and brooks are for comfort and reliability,if you know you know, with that being said i feel the previous front end looked better and they could have done better, they definitely need to make an option were the front grill is black.
It’s much easier to configure the instrument cluster on my 2020 Avalon. Toyota should have carried that forward. The forward leaning headrest seems to be because a lot of people lean forward in the seat.
You're not missing much with the auto wipers. I've had auto wipers on my previous vehicle and hated it, I never used it. I kind of miss having memory seats, but it wasn't a big deal, it seems pretty easy to get my seating position in this car. Btw what % tint you have?
I just picked up a le awd, though not as sexy looking inside and out I think it’s a better value. It was no where close to 40k and it does 0 to 60 almost a sec faster!
Agreed! More budget friendly, more efficient, and faster, the LE is way more practical for someone looking for the best bang for their buck. Plus it still looks good in my opinion, Toyota has lessened the gap between their base models and top trims when it comes to exterior design
Im in the market for a new car and thinking of getting a camry, should i wait for next years camry or get one 2025? not much in a hurry but also not sure what trim to get, XSE or XLE i just dont know the difference, what would you recommend.
The 2025 Camry is a nicely refined and reliable car for it being a first model year. However if you aren’t in a rush, I suggest waiting for the 2026 so Toyota can fix some of the issues that may come up in the 2025 models. When it comes to the trims, the XSE is sport oriented and the XLE is luxury oriented. The XSE has exclusives like sport tuned suspension, wheels, red interior, and different front and rear bumpers. The XLE has different bumpers and wheels and has exclusive features like automatic wipers and memory seating. I recommend the XSE since I’m more into the aggressive looks and the red interior but at the end of the day it’s mostly what you care about.
The trunk in these cars have to be shut perfectly center, the same applies to the 2018-24 models. I used to have trouble getting it to close the first time but now I got the hang of it, the trick is to pull pull down towards the center and do it on the harder side, don't worry it will not break
Bro did you experience an issue from your wheels? like what they experience from the camry group in facebook? something about axle or wheel hub/wheelbearing?
I don’t find the gauge cluster to be an issue. I leave it alone but I suppose Toyota could come up with better. I like the Toyota app that tells me tire pressure
Agreed, I love the cluster itself, I just feel like the controls could be a bit more user friendly and quick to get to, I have having to hold OK to scroll around. The Toyota app is great, I use it a lot to pre-cool my interior
@@DNDrives having to hold ok makes sense because if you didn't have to hold a button down to start it, it would be too easy to accidentally start scrolling through menus and that can cause issues if it happens while you're driving
Camry prime would wreck the Prius. I don’t think they’d ever do a Camry prime. But Camry prime would be a perfect car. That’s why I think ima her rav4 because prime option
Personally and with some research to back it up, I just drive off every morning without warming it up since the engine doesn’t start when you start the car anyway. I just take it easy on the gas pedal until the engine is warm which doesn’t take long. As long as you drive it calmly, the engine will actually only idle as you drive while it warms up, the electric motors will do all the driving. Additionally, the 0W-8 oil is thin enough to move through the engine quickly. No need to warm up or idle
My XLE has rain sensing wipers and I hate it on all of my cars! I keep it off because it goes off in the auto car wash and wipes the soap away too fast.
Do you know what “brand” of oil the dealer used for oil change? 0W-8 is not that common and I’m thinking about what it costs after the Toyota care expires. Only brands I’ve heard are from Toyota directly (which is expensive) and Mobil 1. Thx
I am not entirely sure what brand it is but it is the OEM Toyota Oil. I googled what Toyota brand uses in their OEM oil and the answer was Mobil 1. On my service invoice the oil was listed as GTMO 0W8 CS GLV1, which I have no idea what that means and googling that just shows the Toyota bottles which I assume are Mobile 1. If it wasn't under Toyota Care, the oil would've cost me $60.30 USD for 5 quarts. Hope this helps!
Did you add tint to the windshield and front windows? Doesn't look legal. FYI - the autosense windshield wipers only come with the $4,760 Premium Plus Package. I agree, s/b standard on all the X trims.
Yes my windows all around are 3% tint with the exception of my front windshield being 30%. About the wipers, I stand corrected about them not being available on any optional packages. It's still sad that it's limited to the highest optioned XLE and not even available on XSE which is more expensive.
You misunderstand the headrest. You aren't supposed to lean forward, you are supposed to put your head and back all the way against the seat and just stair at your crotch.
The front end looks too radical and busy and overstyled for what kind of car this is. Its weird looking. The rear is understyled. Only the middle looks well proportioned imo Edit - I'll be clear on what I mean on the styling. For what kind of car toyota is making the camry to be - a very fuel efficient, point a to point b car with some luxuries, the styling is too radical and polarizing for the car. I see what you mean when you say the rear is under styled, it is pretty bland compared to the front. However, I do think the front will be something that many people will eventually learn to like, kind of like how everyone hated the gigantic kidney grilles on the BMWs and now not many people really bat an eye to that anymore.
