The job as Smiling Friends is to make sure their client smiles; but Mr. Frog is [for the most part] always smiling, even if it's nervously; When he answers the door to Charlie/Pim, in the pool when he's on pills, when he's at the firing range; but he only GENUINELY smiles at the end, when the crowd is cheering for him. That's what truly made him happy: The fans.
Based on how the episode ended, I don’t think people were mad that Mr. Frog put a TMZ reporter in his mouth. They were mad that he couldn’t eat him. Everyone was so happy when Mr. Frog was able to eat the executive.
Mr. Frog is the archetypal Nietzscheian Superman. He has resolved to live is life as a one perpetual actualization of his will and accept nothing less than the unimpeded imposition of himself unto the world.
The brilliance of this episode is lost on many. He was hated not for his violent tendencies, but for how he chose to direct them. Poorly and without aim. The episode is Mr Frog undergoing a struggle to properly direct his violent tendencies towards the evil in the world rather than apologize for who he is. He tries and fails to direct them many times leading to him breaking and almost apologizing, but then he eats the producer, a man nobody likes, a man disconnected from the people and a representation of hiding your true self for the sake of brand appeal. This theme of properly directing your violent tendencies is reinforced by the fact that Mr Frogs house is shown as an orderly world in itself, one he will lose if he doesn't aim his rage properly. They end up at a shooting range and the metaphor is not lost on me that this is a story of a man learning to aim. Mr Frog is a hero.
Im having a hard time telling what this video is. Initially i thought it was an ironic over-analysis of mister frog as a character. But now it just turned in to "youtuber describes exactly everything that happens in the eposode". Guys, you can just watch the show..
Ok I'll admit, this completely blows my theories on the episode out of the water XD I personally believed that the episode was about the concept of cancel culture itself, how that sometimes it is both well deserved but can also be ultimately ineffective and only seems to make things worse. We're shown throughout the episode that Mr. Frog is a truly HORRIBLE being and even though he seemingly reforms, he hasn't changed a bit at the end. With the whole concept of the show of Smiling Friends being from people who had their start on the internet, you'd expect that they would be very aware of stuff like this. However, i never thought about it on the other angle, about how destructive hollywood can be and the effect it can have on people. We have real stories of celebrities being mistreated and having their lives warped and destroyed through destructive coping mechanisms. Hell, Bojack Horseman is more or less about that exact thing! I'm going to be looking at Mr. Frog very differently now XD
8:20 from mister frog? Or the show executive? What do you mean later? it just happenen inbetween a couple of seconds. Later is usually means hours or days like a long time generally. So thats confusing.
I love Mr. Frog but I'm glad the guys decided to make the show about a bunch of guys who run a charity, simply because it feels like the whole 'trash celebrity is trash' idea is played out but that's the thing with Mr. Frog. He's just so much unfiltered chaos that he works better as a side character you never expect to see pop up BECAUSE of how much he throws things out of order and the best part about it is that he hardly cares about it. I like Mr. Frog because of while he does have a moral point as seen in his episode, he's still unfiltered and wild. He only changes what he knows will benefit him and he knows why people love him. In this first episode, he was only canceled because of the TMZ reporter (and who likes them) and the PRODUCER pulling the final choice to kick him off his own show and as we saw, the producer sucked. He was narcisstic, talentless and wanted to use Mr. Frog's show to boost his own career because he couldn't land a gig on his own. And when he 'changed' the formula by stopping Glep from doing his own thing, it failed. But within that, Mr. Frog somehow managed to follow both Pim and Charlie's advice in the end. With Charlie, Mr. Frog stayed true to himself as in the end when he eats the producer it's what the people wanted and missed from him. They wanted Mr. Frog to be himself but he also followed Pim's advice by humbling himself and apologizing and NOT to the producer but to the *FANS* who got him where he was, not a bunch of talking heads who don't give a shit about him. The Producer tries to threaten and act like only he can decide when Mr. Frog is 'uncanceled' but Mr. Frog essentially went 'FUCK THAT' and eats him, because that's his thing and that's what people want. It's why I hated the Producer and glad he got eaten because all he did was hold people back from what made them funny or talented just so he could take the credit for a sterilized show. Plus, no one slaps Glep like that. Fuck that guy.
7:49 but you see theres a big deal there, people including talk show host doesn't care about what he has to say at all, partly just laughing at a very simple joke. His slur matter more than who he was, so they didn't care about why he said it or what caused such an outburst they just cared he happen to be so popular to help themselves. Basicaly they're nice unlike the similing friends like charlie who isn't nice always but he is defintly Good as he wants the best from his clients as he can help.
Mr Frog is many things, but he was never a Smiling Friend. He was never an employee of Smiling Friends, but is one of my favorite characters on the show and I'd absolutely vote for him for president over Trump, or Biden or Jimble. I'd like to know more about the Renaissance Men, personally.

Very true! That independent smile is bigger than any other - I’m glad Mr Frog got that happy ending!
Not only this but Mr.Frog didn't actually directly call Smiling Friends. Mr. Boss just suggested helping.

Definitely the best thing about the show
Oooo maybe
I mean, he did apologize the audience. I feel like that was the message: sometimes saying genuine „sorry” is enough
