You commented on the difficulties of removing a class if you have been historically entering transactions for it. But if you have a single division for several years, say Commercial Construction, and weren't really using classes, and then added a new division for residential to your business, could you set up the two classes and then assign all previous transactions to the Commercial Construction class and then go forward with the new additional Residential Construction class as well?
Can we define class for inventory items ??? for Example i bought many items that , they are belongs for a special goods --- and i want to set those items by class to make my final reports that specify my net income from those items
@@QbuniversityOrg Yes, I have a client that would like part of the financial statement rolled up at the class level and part at the subclass level. Is this even possible or will we need to export to Excel and manipulate manually?
@@lisaweber1694 hmm. Only part of the PL as Class and Subclass? I don’t believe that’s possible. It would all be shown as a class. Unless you only code certain transactions to the class and the other ones to a “General” type class
MATT: Form 1099-NEC being a 3-part form, how do you setup the printing to print on all three forms at the same time? When I print, it prints only on part one of the form - not sure what settings I need to set to have it print on all 3-parts
@@QbuniversityOrg How is the manufacturing process? Example Air conditioning factory How to transfer from a raw material warehouse to a warehouse in operation How to create manufacturing models etc..
@@mostafasaied1790 that would be a pretty detailed process I can’t really answer here. I would map out the entire flow and process first then build it in QB

Not the inventory itself but you can specify the class when you sell the inventory which will allocate the income to that class
Very helpful! Do you have a video on customized reporting with classes and subclasses?
Thanks! When you say customized reporting do you mean just a video on reporting with classes and sub classes?

@@QbuniversityOrg That's what I was thinking. I'll have to think about this a bit and talk with the client further. Thanks for the help!

Is the quickbook university link working ?
Unfortunately not right now. We are moving the training to a new platform and adding new features. Hopefully it’ll be back up this coming week
