Yes this has been around for a long time.I used it back in the late 90's in looking. I was also 'lucky'? to have to been a former CAT Bus Driver and saw all these areas and somewhat knew where to avoid.Excellent video for helping future apt/home lookers and tourist also to know some places to skip.

Last May we stayed 4 nights at the Golden Nugget and 3 nights at the Luxor, we were going to buy the Walmart from McLeod and Tropicana at 3 in the morning, without GPS or internet, the only problem was that McLeod and Pecos is only one Avenue that is divided and we were lost, it was great on several nights until we discovered that they were dividing, in McLeod and in Pecos, it was very exciting to travel the neighborhoods, with no one around until 6 in the morning. Greetings from Patagonia Argentina, you had another great video

@Carlos Mariano Tosza . . . I'm familiar with that area you wrote about, and I lack the courage to venture into that area at 3 in the morning. Good to hear you were entertained by it.

Vegas is not dangerous c'mon people. Yes they have a high property crime rate, but they don't have "no-go areas" like Chicago, NY, Baltimore and Miami do. I've stayed there many times off the strip and never felt like my life was in danger.

Unfortunatekly people have an ovrwhelming need to feel relevant. This is one way they do that. Create issues where they don't exist.

OMG, this is so helpful. I was concerned. I have been tracking stuff on the Police Dept. I found about it 3 months ago. I use it for San Francisco, CA. Too much crime will reduce your home values and personal safety. This is important to see the types of crimes that are done in certain areas. I found out about this on Laci's You Tube Page however your tutorial on how to navigate this is really really helpful. on so many Epic levels. thanks for your attention to detail and for your informed approach.

Anybody who visits Planet 13 on TH-cam is awesome. I’m a big stock holder of Planet 13. I’ve only smoked in high school. That’s it. Never at college. Anyways, thanks for the great videos! I live in the region and find it interesting how the local TV news sidesteps some of the sordid aspects of the Vegas area, such as gangs. A decade ago the Las Vegas local TV news would regularly report about gang crimes, then those reports stopped, and for a couple of years the local news did not breathe a word about "gangs."
Same goes for home invasion robberies and car-jackings . . . those were TV news items reported on when I moved to Southern Nevada in the year 2000, and for several years afterwards. But for some reason, even though those crimes still regularly occur to this day, local TV news have been mum on those crimes for years.

I used to live in Las Vegas 2006-2018 and my main place I lived was the east side for 7 years. Not one problem to whole time I was there (Harmon/Pecos). This was a residential cul de sac in an old traditional neighborhood. Loved it!!! Had to move back to Ohio to help my dad. Miss it for sure, I'll be back.

I have lived here over 3 years, came from nice northwest burbs of Chicago. I really think the crime here is little overblown. Plenty of Vandalism, car theft and burglaries just like every other city but the major crimes like murder and rape are pretty low. I used this site for about 10 years, and Vegas isn't really that bad unless you are coming from some small Midwest town and then you are in for a culture shock. I also still laugh at people claiming traffic is bad. Only bad places in town for traffic is The Strip "obvious" and I-15 south at the 95/515 exchange.

    • @joem3502
