Soviet was way ahead of us in terms of technology,space research they were very powerful and tough competitor to mighty usa n the other hand cold didn't even started china economy is slowing ,real estate was in huge debt they can't even survive one year cold war with usa they lack the influence which ussr had that time

Dude stalin was very good for india, even after India's independence india was struggling with severe food crisis and asked help from west but they didn't do anything then we asked to USSR and stalin immediately sent grains loaded ship even when paperwork wasn't completed and they told him to wait until they finish paperwork and stalin said that " documents can Wait, but hunger can not". He was like a messiah for india and remember it was the USSR which helped india in 1971 war otherwise india would have been attacked by Pakistan, USA, UK .

Just do google about Qing Dynasty map, it was the last dynasty of china which lasted until 1644- 1912 and you should be aware that china is a 5000 years long continuous civilization. Just like how india claims territory because of British colonial India but china does it because of their own long dynasty who had always controlled those areas.

Soviet collapse due to influence of usa and western nations soviet was very great and it has own culture and identity but they thought we r same as western white Supreme race. This is why some laste leader just like Nikita khruchev reform to giving freedom in various field. Just like religion autonomy open media ,not increasing economy in varies field and employees. China is world old civilization and it has own identity different than western .people of china very well know and communist peoples of china control over whole china but china open its economy in 1979 and incress his strength after few year later china join wto and it was great results after 2000. Today china give autonomy in various field but control over also present simatenoues.
Soviet Union was influential enough to face the geopolitical threat of USA. Soviets had KGB which is just as skilled as CIA or even better. They collapsed due to a fallacious economic model that heavily relied on centralised economic decisons.
