I think that's because of removal the subsidy the EVs used to get and poorly maintained charging infrastructure (some points) and none of the business houses like Tata power are showing lesser to no interest in contributing the expansion of the same which is leading to reduction of interest among buyers in opting them.Should get these things right in order bring back demand to encourage buyers(subsidy)+better charging infrastructure (to encourage even more ) which because of thelse it will be quite challenging for entire EV segment to compete the the other segment vehicles in our country

Sir you are also missing main issue with ev's. The main issue is not about vehicle, it's about charging. You have to understand the charging cost of commercial charging stations. They are charging more than 25 to 30 rupees per Watt. You can't just rely on home charge with 8 to 10 hours
Being in Renewable business, I can say that batteries prices are dropping sharply now... Lithium Batteries are now less prices than lead acid batteries. Very soon you will see EV are getting cheaper than ICE cars...
Range anxiety and charging time is the biggest issue you can give less range with lower powered batteries but you have to introduce swap-able battery and every manufacturer has to setup a standard for the battery dimensions.

Biggest advantage of EV is operating cost you can not beat that every with anyother ice based fuel (untill oil becomes free). It will take over the rest of the things. Hybrid cars with 200 KM range of ev and 7 KW generator so that you can still drive a car till you reach charging station can be unbeatable solution for personal vehicles. EV is viable option only if we can charge it on Solar power. As we travel during day we can not do it at home as well as installing Solar at office location is not possible.

Sir you are also missing main issue with ev's.
The main issue is not about vehicle, it's about charging. You have to understand the charging cost of commercial charging stations. They are charging more than 25 to 30 rupees per Watt. You can't just rely on home charge with 8 to 10 hours

Being in Renewable business, I can say that batteries prices are dropping sharply now... Lithium Batteries are now less prices than lead acid batteries. Very soon you will see EV are getting cheaper than ICE cars...

Topic i choosen during my graduation for seminar is 'Hybrid Electric Vehicle' in the year 2K14 which has many benifits over EV's
Vehicle basic cost, Range and charging infra is major hurdle. Otherwise for mid size cities it's good choice for daily commuting.

Range anxiety and charging time is the biggest issue you can give less range with lower powered batteries but you have to introduce swap-able battery and every manufacturer has to setup a standard for the battery dimensions.
They launch things without a set up of basic things. You need more charging points which are in working conditions with cost effective prices.

I have been using EV scooter for last 8 years. Its very very cheap mode of transportation. Its main problem is lack of trained, experienced mechanic.
I have bought NETA Chinese EV car here in Nepal few years back.
And now that company is closed in china .
Now I am worried about parts if any parts got damaged. Deals are saying they will provide parts but still it is concerning thing .

Tesla cars are selling lot. We are using full electrical car. I am fully satisfied. Most of American & Indians in USA are either have or willing to have in near future. I stopped going to gas station for months. I am seeing many tesla cars on the goad all the time.
So things are not same all place.
Anything new is always costly. As times passes demand will increase and cost will come down.
Trust is important ... the road to pure electric goes via hybrids ....This will give time for start up to build charging eco system around it .....

Biggest advantage of EV is operating cost you can not beat that every with anyother ice based fuel (untill oil becomes free). It will take over the rest of the things. Hybrid cars with 200 KM range of ev and 7 KW generator so that you can still drive a car till you reach charging station can be unbeatable solution for personal vehicles. This can make cars less costly as well as get rid of range anxiety. The way things are going EV will first take over the lower level vehicales like two wheeler, three wheeler, than commercial taxies running in cities, small trucks running in cities, than trucks running on fixed route and than finally everything else. Aviation is the last sector that will get electrified.
