I think that's because of removal the subsidy the EVs used to get and poorly maintained charging infrastructure (some points) and none of the business houses like Tata power are showing lesser to no interest in contributing the expansion of the same which is leading to reduction of interest among buyers in opting them.Should get these things right in order bring back demand to encourage buyers(subsidy)+better charging infrastructure (to encourage even more ) which because of thelse it will be quite challenging for entire EV segment to compete the the other segment vehicles in our country

The main issue is not about vehicle, it's about charging. You have to understand the charging cost of commercial charging stations. They are charging more than 25 to 30 rupees per Watt. You can't just rely on home charge with 8 to 10 hours

Biggest advantage of EV is operating cost you can not beat that every with anyother ice based fuel (untill oil becomes free). It will take over the rest of the things. Hybrid cars with 200 KM range of ev and 7 KW generator so that you can still drive a car till you reach charging station can be unbeatable solution for personal vehicles. This can make cars less costly as well as get rid of range anxiety. The way things are going EV will first take over the lower level vehicales like two wheeler, three wheeler, than commercial taxies running in cities, small trucks running in cities, than trucks running on fixed route and than finally everything else. Aviation is the last sector that will get electrified.
