If you have a Lucky Friend, send over a powerful Shiny Legendary or Shiny pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Normally when you trade Pokémon, the Individual Values (or IVs) of the Pokémon are shuffled randomly. However, if you trade a Pokémon and it becomes Lucky, it will always have at least 80% IVs, ensuring a pretty strong Pokémon.
How rare is a lucky trade? And can you increase the chance of a lucky trade?
There is a 5% chance that a pokemon from a random trade becomes lucky, but the lucky odds increases based on how long that Pokémon has been in the Trainer's Pokémon collection,the older it is, the higher the chance. So if you have some 2016-2019 Pokémon you have some good chances it will become a lucky random Pokémon.

My best lucky trade was last week when I gave a friend a Shiny Feebas for a Shiny Aerodactyl. His turned out to be a 93% with 12 in Attack and I got the Shundo. I grinded some Mega Raids in the past days and it is at level 41.5 right now because I am missing XL Candys. But luckily Aerodactyls are out in the wild right now. So Mega Evolve the Aerodactyl and catch them to get maximum Candy.

I never got a hundo or a shundo in a lucky trade, but, I got a Shundo Rayquaza in the last Mega Rayquaza rotation. I maxed out my 98 IV Rayquaza and a I will max out my shundo as well in the future.

my best lucky trade is a shundo dialga first try lol, not far behind is my 98% shiny necrozma also first try, but don’t worry, this luck is (for now) compensated by getting 5 shiny rayquazas that are all under 2160 cp lmao
