The more I watch this video, the more minute things I realize are there. Spoilers; The ending at 3:50 have minor distortions as if rewinding an old VCR. UMP40 has an old grainy effect showing her death and then has the distorted Griffin/Krueger emblem showing that story (not spoiling that much) At the end, UMP45 MOD3 is in the same position as UMP40, but on a flipped staircase; looking back to her friend. I don't remember fully but at 2:20, I'm certain that's the thing that injures 45 in the first place, causing her to remember the past and leads her to MOD3. There are more but... I don't want to list all the minor stuff here. Just saying that this was made with some incredible clarity. Thanks for dropping it on youtube for us, Slade.

The first reason is multiple events that are shown happen after Butterfly event, which means 40 would never experience them, nun the less the form of memories about them. The player (if a veteran) can remember every event and the battles he/she commanded. Which matches with the line, "Because you would tell me none of it, none of it was in vain", the one thing every GFL commander tells him/herself after doing a mission or finishing a campaign. Another reason lies in one of the lines. In order for the line "Let's meet tomorrow at ten on the train platform or something like that." to make sense, the person 45 is writing to has to be alive and can return to see her irl. Although 45 has a digimind version of UMP40, she can't physically meet 40 in person ever again (unless yun mu decides to revive UMP40). For a human commander to revisit 45 via re-entering the game definitely fits the definition more perfectly. Another line that hints towards 45 writing to the commander is "even if summer ends, the memories of it are still cherished." since for most GFL gamers are students (rarely is someone playing a gacha game after 30) and summer is a great time to revisit GFL after a long school year (especially those in Asian countries). It is also not a coincidence that GFL has more events in the summer than any other season. Thus creating a deeper memory and allowing to be cherished easier after summer ended and a new school year began. The final piece of evidence is the line "I still can't believe that on the last day of my life, you will not be here." As for any player, They will grow out of the games they once played. They will move on, get a job, and forget about the game. As for any game, it will grow, reach their peak and decline as time moves on and gamers look for the next great game. This is the end 45 is talking about, her end as the game and her world is forgotten in time.
