this depends on if enemy is much stronger or similar , if way too strong, then I would say 30% fun and 70% useless, but when matching is good and we have oponnent with similar power ( which is extremly rare due to bad matching engine...) in such case 90% fun and 10% useless as sometimes you need to cool off when all your ht are down... :)
Maybe I’m just incredibly lucky but regardless of server I’ve been on matchmaking has been always good except EL but I believe that was more about river games allowing transfers like they did after lineup was shown. Other than that I’ve never experienced a terrible match up. Whether we got our butts kicked or not. Losing to somebody with lower cp means nothing because majority of players do what they can to keep cp down. The only way to ever get an absolute fair match would be if there was no way to hide strength and all servers had equal amounts of players. At end of the day you just got to play and have fun or don’t. That’s how I see it

100% fun and 0% useless.. i'm f2p but in svs i have a lot of thing that i can do to help my server to do a good performance. When i do my best and i get 0 point is a little frustrating but, well, it's a game 😅
If i could make a suggestion to topwar, it would be to give some points for units lost in battle..

Yeah, on my previous server I was MM and got 0 points during half a year. What's the point of making the server win if MMs aren't allowed to attack anything and aren't even on leaderboard due to having less than 1 point?
For me it depends on whom we are fighting. If it’s a fair fight, then it’s 100% fun. But if it’s nothing but mega whales then it’s 50% fun.
SVS is 100% fun but I feel 70% usless.

Question T-me. In the report you showed at around 3 mins in the video from LABADI attacking the capital. Although he is stronger than all the marches inside the capital, He did not take the capital because there were over 50 marches inside? is that right? Thanks

I am F2P. Fights aren't fun for me.
I usually play as a MM support because I hate myself each time I burn bases.
60cp MM, I used to feel like it was pointless as I would always get crushed. But over the past couple years I have learned to stop worrying about rebuilding and having my base burnt. I stopped using Vals and I am better about staying under towers, building potions, and using speed ups to attack bases. I will say that it makes it harder if a MM to be able to dodge incoming attacks because I’m almost always building towers.
Our server is pretty well organized and we work well together on assigned ruins. We alternate which of our main two alliances is on offense and defense. Communication and sticking to the plan is important part of teamwork.
Just remember, it’s a game and you’re supposed to have fun and enjoy the time playing.

I’m with you 100%. As a 60m mm there’s nothing I’m going to do to a 90 or 100m player, but no matter the opponent I can build towers, provide battle rounds in the ruins and cap, and keep my traps stocked to help mucus whoever might need it. Definitely a slight feeling of uselessness in a few matchups when I come away with lvl 60 troops cause I’ve been punted all around the map for the whole hour, but more often than not I come away feeling like I’ve done my part to help our server succeed.
Am F2P, was MM for 3 years and switched to 50M CE.
Still 0% fun, but i never felt *useless*. My towers were still useful, and as a CE I'm still useful taking buildings.

When I feel useless in svs I work in trying to help direct people who are not useless towards what needs to be done. Having one person be responsible for calling for help for ruins, telling people when cap opens or is off limits, calling for more help on defense etc. sometimes it’s not all about getting kills but just helping your server any way you can. Even translators for different languages are huge once your server has grown to include different geographies.

I don’t bother with SVS or rarely participate (only when I’m chasing some perk books). I’m MM and only ~45M CP with one strong (ish) main and the 2nd still work in progress. So pretty pointless playing. Main issue I have is the cost to play, it’s just far too much and kills any enjoyment for a low budget player. Whale shit only IMO. TC is a much more enjoyable game playing experience for me.
SVS is 100% FUN, As 63M in teamwork we won by a server with 86m, 74m a.s.o. everyone is important to 100%. Teamwork is the key!
In a server that recently got access to tranfer, i would say before that it was 90% fun and 10%useless, now that a lot a very big guys came on the server, i literraly have an opposit thought which result in 10%fun and 90%useless.
Was in 851 2 ud ago when they won “before tg”, teamwork of whales was very fun before the super gap started.
As someone who was mm the mm’s are most important and may have less fun outright since the game plays completely different.
A ce now will be more depended upon in smaller servers whereas only supers can face supers now with the changes when in bigger servers.
Also in bigger servers it’s a case of get your 30k and stick to objective since there’s hundreds to control on either side.
The fun is in the community and facing similar size accs, obviously a win will be fun to think about but the win takes strategy and teamwork.
If mbb size accs sit in cap and your supers have a shot and can’t get in then that’s all she wrote.

I'm one of the weaker MM. Luckily I'm on a server that sees that even small players can be leaders and I am part of the group of players to help coordinate and lead our battles. So best is to look at where your talents are and how you can fit in. Once you know that, you can either talk to your leaders on how to use that best and if you're not happy, talk to leaders of other servers about it.
That’s the trade off of going to the top servers. You’ll win more events but you won’t have the same impact as if you were to join a smaller or mid sized server.
My small server won 4 out of 5 svses.
Server size doesn't affect the number of times you win, due to matchmaking.
@@laplongejunior no doubt you can win most smaller svs and el but you will probably not be winning ud and svs champs. And that’s ok, just depends what you’re looking for in the server whether you want to be play a major role or a small cog in the server machine

But with the Gap in CP/marches being far to great most times, it feels uselss - if your on a big server, there is no way to rake in enough points to get great rewards.
MM's are ever more bound to towers, most MMs never use vals, since it's just endless costs for repairs.
also one thing, multiple alliances from same server, why are they marked as red on the map - can confuse a lot :)

I am low spender (vip7) 43 mill MM. In most cases I feel useless. I can't build weakness towers because they destroy me. It takes me most of the time to rebuild the march - and with encirclement it is tedious. I try to collect 30k points and that's it.

As MM always something to do or somewhere to help with tower or potions.
The only problem as you mentioned before is svs points if opponents don’t attack and loose against me. Sometimes happens and get out of busy svs with null points or close

It doesn't matter how much CP you have, participating in every war is 100% useful for your server, and enjoy it even if you get burned many times , and War yesterday I enjoyed it against 2216, it was an honor to be able to experience one of the exciting matches in topwar

I like svs.. that being said, here is a crazy idea for ya.. invading servers can only attack ruins and capital. Won't be able to hit bases. On the other hand home server can hit invading bases and send them back to their server after the 3 loses.
Putting a big difference on playing defense and committing to offense.
I've heard of servers that wipe out there own server if they are not bubbled before svs so they don't give out points to the opponent.
Yes , there severs which are really very competitive and will wipe bases , tiles if needed
SvS is fun, as a MM sometimes i feel useless, but if you know how to play and your prioritize team play and support your CE and whales, it's super fun, jump, burn get burned, and much more, at the end it depends on what server and with whom you play. if i move to a super server of course the game will be more boring as a VIP6. but in 1618 even VIP 0 with game experience can enjoy the game because we play like a team, everyone need to help and participate.

It really depends on the matchup how much fun it is.
Active player numbers make a huge difference since the server I am on has very low amount of active players.
Also since we only have a few mm's, its not possible to put towers on each ruin before the battle, so you have to get lucky with which side you pick.
If you picked the wrong side it is almost impossible to put towers down while the battle is going on.
(edit to add on) svs is in my opinion way more fun than TC because you are free to move everywhere and don't immediately get smashed by bigger players when you move somewhere.
Wth 33M CP i feel 99% useless and 1% fun. One more thing, SVS is main reason why i don't use Val units. They are always destroyed.
I love SVS and there should be more events like this, after all this is a war game and not farmville.

Man, it's a bummer seeing all the I'm useless. I don't even play SVS comments. I was in the same boat not too long ago. Top war is a whole new game ever since I transferred to 779. Before you quit please talk to the recruiting team at 779 Great people, great gaming experience for all levels ftp mid and low spender and bigs ..
100% FUN. Win or lose attacking and defending building and using my troops VALs or otherwise is what the game is about. I always figure out a way to have success whether I'm defending a building, atttacking a hive, picking off mm's, getting burned and attacking heavies(whales) to help my teammate burn them. I always play within my range. My forte is stick and move strategy, but I moved servers and they have a defend ruin strategy filling to over 50 players. We still lost but I understand the concept. 1st SvS with this server and I got 10th place overall and 400k points. Server 1668.

I'm a MM 59m~60m Cp. I would like the rankings to be split for MM and CE. if you look at the individual points there is no way for a MM to score close to get good ranking. But a little bit passive aggressive, titan gear is a real pain, we all know some servers had titan gear for a year longer than older servers and just a despairing sight if you see a vip9 with 285 march size and full titan gear with runes for one and a half march. Where I have crafted 205 gold gears with only 3 runes as return 🤣🤣
I would say 20% fun to 80% useless for me. If I can dodge the bigger players and actually get a few battles it's not bad. Once I get wacked I don't really have resources to rebuild everything so the game is over for me at that point. They really need to reduce repair cost and time during this one hour event. If it were a 90% cost reduction and 90% time reduction would actually be way better. At that point you could at least get into a few battle before exhausting troops.

I've been playing this game for 4 years, and I've made peace with it a long time ago, I wouldn't be mad if it burned or ported again and again 😅 so SVS is 100% fun, we can play our role even if it's a Little thing
That’s the way to approach it. It’s a game and the pressure must always be on the dev company to improve then game ..and NEVER on players to buy packs
Depending on the matching, (which still need fixing, and more than ever now due to Titan SE) depends on how much fun you can have, so it can range between 70% fun / 30% uselessness to 1% fun / 99% uselessness. I used to enjoy the weekend events, now it seems more of a chore than fun. Nowadays, feeling useless is beginning to be more often than not. The game is broken now and geared more than ever to those spending without thinking. Titan SE's are the worst thing to have happened, allowing the whales to become super powered and new accounts to become more powerful at much lower CP, than an older accounts who have spent the same, with much higher CP levels. That is where is gets demoralising for older players and probably why so many are quitting.

Killer bunnies all love fighting so SVS will always be fun, but mechs are so nerfed at this point that I usually feel at least 80% useless.

I agree with most of what others said below me. CP Calculation is very broken & still needs to be fixed, then they need to re-do matchmaking algorithm. It s not fun if you are completely mismatched. Also worse is the fact about how you can repair way too few units. Especially with players that have larger march sizes. If you have Vals you can pretty much kiss them all good bye. Then they cost a fortune to rebuild them or wait have to months to get way too much needed Odinium. So almost pointless to have them but you need them to be stronger. What a horrible conundrum!! If they made it like TC how you can repair them all & no Odinium needed then it would be a million times better!! But of course they will not change anything because once again & again & again because of there insane greed & reverse logic on how to make money. I just don't compete in SVS anymore only TC. I really wish they would make SVS like TC. As is there are so few fighting events. OR At least make something like you pay $100 for each SVS & you get unlimited Odinium for the battle AND they should totally get rid of limit of # of units that can be repaired without demoting them. I would gladly pay $100 for this. Or make Odinium even more cheaper. Its still way too expensive considering you can easily have thousands of units. Hey keep releasing way to increase our March sizes & Space for units which is good but also need way to maintain all those Vals. Instead now they get nothing from me. Like usual, Heavy Trooper, Titan Gear, this & more....Greed & Reverse Logic!!

If you feel useless, avoid whale servers... Sit in whale servers, become redundant vs your match ups
Medium sized server.. more chance to meet even matched CP to yourself

the truth is.....as long as we had bigger players on the server, we used to beat big servers and it was really crazy....now we have players of the same level...even if we still get beaten, we give more...and it's fun.. ..the last svs was just an active man from the enemies...it was very sad to have no emotions, to look for enemies to attack to make some points

My point of view. SvS is a loss if you are a f2p, not strong, or not willing to spend some resources. I'm a fairly strong player for a f2p that played for about 3 years now. That said, i can barely scratch anyone with roughly the same cp as mine (44m). So basically i hit a base, maybe go through one defender march or maybe not. Either way i lost my best march and left open for attack. I usually fought hard the first 10 minutes or so, then left to either hit tiles or annoy the enemy by sending 3 weak marches to attack their tower or ruin.
Not to counter Timmy, but with the low number of participant in my server, we can't use the same strategy as him. Stacking ruin with as much weak marches as possible

75% enjoiable - 25% useless
Ever since transfers started for the server, the matchmaking has been awful. I feel 95% useless, especially if the opponent server is not very active, which means they have some whales but does not have a large number of players taking part in svs, making it much harder for low/mid level players to get points

Well… the issue is the imbalance. And it will never go away because VIP abd whaling is core of the game. It is a pay to win game.
Without going into a long dissertation, I think that the best event is EL. All players of all strength do something useful at one point or another. The lenght of the event is such that it is impossible not to participate to one thing or another. I really wish two things here: fix EL matching and make other events like EL that bring a wholesome experience for all players on their time, not necessary a scheduled time.
I never felt useless in SvS. I'm not a very strong player who easily can burn enemy bases. Nevertheless, I can take on important tasks: I can scout bases and share the reports so that others save VIT - and I can report locations so that allies are aware of them. Last but not least, I can also strengthen weaker players because they are often not attacked with the strongest march or by the very strong players.
And if I'm part of an attack team on the enemy server, I can distract or confuse the enemy's defenses with quick jumps etc. - maybe even overload them if more players do it like me...
I used 6 months of troops in one round ,wonder why i dont go it much get hit so fast you cant even think you are just cannon farter,,,,as known in war for century's,

the game used to be fun. Suppression works, weakening tower works and everyone is able to contribute and participate. Now you have one man slicing through tens of players regardless of suppression or weakening towers. It's insane to consider this as fun. On a side note, i just saw a vip7 with 11 titan gear special effects. This game is rotten and broken to the core. Everyone should seriously re-consider if this game is worth spending your money.

if you compare the amt of money / effort to get an equivalent combat strength during pretitan gear. And how it is now handed out in titan gears...
10% fun 90% useless
SVS is 80% fun and I feel 95% useless the matchmaking in the game is bad. Also need to rework the lag from porting back and forth between servers for SVS.

When u stack Mega whales in 1 server, what else do u expect, if they have 600 active players, 450 are useless, still people who are dumb will join that server and destroy gaming experience of that server, but hey, winning matters, nothing else apparently 😂

Т.к невозможно помочь своей команде если ты не топ игрок в своем сервере. Если бы разработчики задумались бы над этим то игра заигрались бы по новому.
I find SVS is 3-10 fun and I feel 95% useless. The 5% usefulness has nothing to do in game, it’s to with being online with my teammates chatting it up on discord 🤣
Svs looks 100% fun but for someone my size (40m power with only 1 decent march) it is 0% fun. This game is only fun if you have spent a lot of money.
With small group events like the loot quest, your experience should change. Let’s hope for more events like that
Even loot quest is terrible. This game could easily put you in to brackets based off of highest historic combat power. Broken into 10m categories. And let people fight against people their size.

The truth is that SVS is a game for whales not for other players you don't get much individual points. As a small player you just a piece of meat for the whales. So about percentage I would say 10% for fun and i could say less and for uselessness 10000%😂😂.

70% FUN - 10% USELESS
Reasons: if you're not a whale and you play for objectives (ruins, capital), you'll get ported a lot, because you'll always have marches out. And you'll burn a good amount of TPs to get back where you were, or speed ups if you wanna stay away from ruins but keep sending marches to them. So it's not 100% fun😅 especially if we're facing a stronger opponent. I just feel useless against whales base hitting me, but in a big server there's always something you can do, even with lv.9 units. It'd be a lot more fun though if some changes you suggested were implemented for MMs. But i know for experience that in a small server things are way different, because if you're facing a stronger opponent, sometimes there's nothing else to do then to try and find some weaker people across the map to base hit them and score individual points. In a small server it's harder to have enough people to fill ruins/capital. I experienced lots of fights in a small server where there was just a single person/march sitting on every objective, both on offense and defense, and there was absolutely nothing we could do to win.🥲 Things have changed since then and we have more balanced matches now, but it's definitely not always.
