Grow would've definitely been a dark horse in the competition, sometimes the slow songs do well, just like Anouk with Birds. Hopefully they'll have something similar next year
i feel like grow is way more sentimental while birds was a darker song. i feel like the lyrics of birds was what really stood out while with grow the lyrics dont really push the song as much while the instrumental is almost inaudible at some points.

I agree. I can imagine it in the top 5 (at least with the jury...maybe even winning the jury voting!).
Birds is amazing too, and should've won in 2013 (or at least top 3...).
Don't bet on it. feels like they are trying to repeat last years success with a slow intimate song. Not working. 12th-15 place, nothing more.

Grow is my number one song of this year, I'm so sad it's not going to be a competitive song for the contest anymore but I'm incredibly happy Jeangu is back next year.

I don't usually like slow songs, but oh this one hits so deep the second it starts. Just from those clips I am crying again, because the song is so honest and hopeful. It's the lyrics and how the artist comments to the song. My 12p is still Iceland for the same reasons (plus I can dance to it) but this is close second. I would have voted for this one for sure. AND I WILL in the Fan contest!

I need him to do a full cover of Tears getting sober and definitely want his next year's song to be in lower register becauss his voice sounds so special in the low register.

Because they still have to listen to the rules, a song can't be resleased 1 year+ before a competition. Despite the covid virus, they keep the rules
