@@apostleofd119 While I hate playing Devil's advocate, to be fair to M A, Season 2 had a few minor ones, and a notable one being in the beginning Shuuchin Sports festival, where after Kei gave advise to Miyuki, she says "Who was I talking to" instead of "Who I was talking about". There have been other instances too, like when Kaguya's doctor says Nayotake and it's translated as Hand-Of-God, and so on. Finally that one "Social Distancing" joke that the subbers added! That being said, overall the quality of subs has been pretty high, and I happen to enjoy them!

Subbed episodes even the official one is usually done fast, and sometimes the original source don't have the references. Having like 20 errors in a span of one season, while you can watch it for free is already a bless. Not to mention in a drama show when there is not much action and the sub just put "screaming" and be done with it. And after all that, saying "poor translations" is more like a kid ranting.
@@apostleofd119 Again not to be a contrarian but as you mentioned, the subs require better management, as in contrast to battle shounen, where the selling factor is the hype, sold by the animations, in romcom and slice of life, subs need to do more of the lifting. Hence, I'd argue that having bad and even mediocre subs is the equivalent of having bad CGI in a fight, in an action heavy anime. Secondly, it's not a luxury that I get to watch anime without complete mastery of japanese, rather that's precisely what most people pay streaming services for. To either dub or subtitle shows, and we shouldn't feel indebted to them, just for doing their job. Especially since fansubs, which are usually later by 1-2 days do a better job. Also it should be mentioned, that official subbers are given 36-48 hrs to sub a show, from their raw versions, and fansubs take the same amount of time too, only they get access to the raw ver. maybe an hour before official airing, best case scenario. This is the main issue in the industry, that official subbers are not up to the quality set by fansubbers. :)

Maki has been around since the first season. She's been a constant reoccurring charatcer in the background who is either crying or annoyed whenever she sees Kashiwagi and her boyfriend together and expressed jealousy towards Shirogane and Kaguya's relationship. When you actually rewatch she's in the show a lot but goes completely unnoticed by most people. Also in episode 1 of this season Ishigami mentions that he has something important to say whilst he's trying to cover for Miko's earphone mistake, so he brings up a member of the cheerleading squad called Tsubame, the pink haired girl who was nice to him and cried over him when he lost the race last season. Also when he mentioned her name Chika's love detective hat and pipe appeared on her for a spilt second showing she suspected romance was involved. So Ishigami saying this episode that he's been having recent relationship hang-ups could suggest that they're related to this Tsubame girl.
Fun fact about Maki's introduction: most of the faces she makes are direct references to ones that Kaguya has previously made (although some of them only show up in the manga).
Just some Japanese language trivia: Obasan is auntie or when referring to an older woman. Obaasan is grandmother or a much older woman. They sound the same, but the ah sound is extended. It is distinctive enough; you wouldn’t confuse the two is what I’m saying.

Carson/Lindsay Have you seen Toradora? It's probably the biggest classic there is among romantic comedy anime. Kaguya-Sama clearly took some inspiration from it. The director and the entire staff from Toradora! reassemled later to make Anohana:). Same director also did Honey and Clover season 2. If you haven't seen it, think about it - it made a huge impact on anime in general, and even if you won't connect as much to highschool romance/slice of life it's still a very well crafted and wholesome series. Toradora! should give you more views than Clannad and its a complete show with 25 episodes.
I didn't notice on watching it the first time that Iino actually said she did like Ishigami deep down; he placed his own coin as though he hated himself deep down. So now only he and Iino know that she secretly doesn't mind him. That is what we call a pro gamer move.

I think the third one in love is Ishigami. If we call back the first episode of this season that is a scene where Ishigami talks about his problems to Chika and Ino trying to avoid Ino of playing her ASMR so he asks about Tsubame-senpai the girl with pink hair and that's a flash of love detective Chika in that scene, so I think it's him. I don't know if I'm right, I don't read the manga.

This show's multilayer jokes is finally being shown!! This show has soooo many of those but we're only seeing them now since they actually needed two whole seasons to set it all up. This romcom is really top tier and all the jokes are gonna be vital to the plot it's so exciting!

watching season 1 i thought this would be a never ending tease and they keep on trying get others to confess almost stopped it because i assumed it would be episodic but i loved the sound effects , songs and voice acting so much.Glad i stick to the show.

Maki is one of my fav characters. It was actually weird for me to watch the earlier seasons because I kept forgetting she debuted so late.
