    Does anyone know of a food subscription service that does the prep work only? I have my recipes & know what I want to cook but it's the prep work that undoes me. I have arthritis in my hands but I'm sure there are scores of people, albeit for different reasons just can't do the prep work. Grocery store precut items are often out of stock

    What a nice way to think of things. If only I didn’t live with two other people, one my husband and two my sister who has no where else to go, would feel the same as me. But thought if life is it will be there tomorrow. My life sucks.

    You nailed it when you said, "I'm never going to feel like doing this..."--I needed this motivation!!! I've organized my entire house this summer except for that one last closet in the guest room...and lemme tell you, it's awful! Lots of sentimental things for my husband, and tough decisions. But today I'm going to commit to working on it for 30 minutes, even though I don't feel like it. TY for the video, I enjoyed it so much! Everyone have a blessed day!

    "I'm never going to feel like doing this." This is me when it comes to exercise! Instead of listening to music to motivate me, I started listening to audiobooks and story podcasts during my workouts and only during my workouts. If I want to know what happens next in the story, I have to get moving!

    Two things I’ve found that work for me. First is tying the cleaning to something else I’m doing anyway. If I need to use the restroom, I take the laundry back with me. If I’m making tea, I unload the dishwasher, etc. This has been a huge help for me.
    Second, if a task seems daunting, I just tell myself I’m only going to do the first tiny part of it. Something is better than nothing. And sometimes I do a little more once I finish the first part. Eventually the once daunting task is done.

    • @PlantPusher
      @PlantPusher ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, pairing a task with an action already in play! As you said, while my coffee/tea is brewing I challenge myself to clear the counters or sweep or put away dishes as fast as possible. It’s amazing how much can actually be done in a short amount of time, especially when it’s presented as a game/challenge. I do this with a timer too…15 minute clutter clean ups have been GOLD!

    Love this!! My hardest thing is i work a full job at a hospital, then have a 45 min drive home. I get relaxed on my drive and still have to hop out of the car and make supper, help with kids with homework, set out clothes for all of us for the next day. Pack lunches etc..and so I have to keep going or if I sit down even to fold clothes I could literally fall asleep. I tell myself my family deserves a clean house, my kids deserve a nice sit down supper and my husband needs me to help with home tasks since he works a longer day than me. Life keeps going weather you fight it or not and to say "I am willing and capable of doing these things" has always helped me. Thanks for another great video!

    Again and always so helpful. When I find myself dreading a task, I usually realize I'm dreading the Entire task. So I joke with myself about finding the very most Tiny starting point that I don't dread. I make a game of how Tiny I can make it and I do that. It can be as small as putting an empty bowl out on the counter. I enjoy the idea that I've tricked my "lazy" self :) Of course, once I start, you know what happens ... It's soon done.

    Ever since I've heard you say "the future you will thank you!" I've been on top of my kitchen more. My husband cooks the way he likes to use the kitchen and I clean it. No harm, it's been like that since we met. But the one time I went out, left a clean kitchen and went to back to school night, and came back 2 hours later, kitchen was left a hot mess. The only things that were cooked was a french bread pizza for my son and my husband made himself a burger. I requested my husband to clean it up as I ate my take-out. It baffles me how my husband has a keen eye for color and detail in his design work but when it comes to cleaning, he misses the left over blobs of food on the counter. 😂🤯

    Great video!
    I have a hard time getting motivated because we are retired and no one ever comes over to our house. So there's no motivation to complete tasks because.... I mean who's gonna see it?
    When my kids were home I had to stay on top of things because things can spiral out of control vert quickly. But now, It's hard to get motivated. Because I'm not pressed for time, there's always tomorrow. And honestly, I lose track of time. I can't remember the last time I've changed my sheets on my bed. Was it last week or the week before? Everyday is Saturday now.

The meal thing looks delicious, but most of us are broke as all get out right now. That is $5.55 per meal minimum and you have to order 16 meals in one week to get that price. A meal serves ONE person. I can cook a meal for my family of six for that price. I 100% get that you need sponsorships to support your family. And I like using the click throughs and promo codes to support my favorite channels. But I wish people who seem so down to earth (like you) would come through with opportunities and promo codes for things that the average mama can really use.

    It's also crucial to know that no one can just stop feeling how they feel and no one can just decide to have different thoughts. The catalyst to changing our feelings and changing our thoughts is literally by our actions. This is scientifically proven. An example I love is to tell people "Don't think of purple elephants." Well NOW you're thinking of purple elephants. I have a family member who loves to tell me and other family members who have anxiety when we're worried about something "Well just don't think about it." IMPOSSIBLE! No one and I do mean NO ONE can just do that. All of this is to say this is work and it does take practice. I struggled with negative self talk my entire life. And finally after some serious therapy and working on it daily I was able to break that habit. This is no different. So if you're struggling with getting things done give yourself some grace, know you're absolutely not alone, know it's not just a simple fix, AND know that with some work and doing these acts, literally going throw the motions even though it feels weird or useless, you CAN turn it around. I dropped the last clean spoon on the floor and surprised myself by saying "Well that's OK. I'm human. I'll just hand wash this and then eat my breakfast." What a change from my past where I would tell myself I'm an idiot and I would be really angry about it. Negative self talk is, unfortunately, incredibly powerful. And not in a good way. Thankfully self compassion is also powerful.😊

    Very Good tips, but for me personally, It works better to say something like" I love having a clean home" rather than I deserve a clean home. But that's just me 🤗

    • @username00009
      @username00009 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m on my phone and had the same experience. I was able to click View our meals and see pricing by only entering my zip code, but I still couldn’t see the types of available meals for my area. Kallie had another video where she shared how she creates burner email addresses using a service for exactly this type of scenario.
      Based on the pricing and the meals Kallie showed, the service looks great if you are looking to use this as a replacement for eating out. From this perspective, it’s budget friendly and probably healthier.

    The “I deserve a clean house” was the golden ticket for me to find and stick to a cleaning routine. For years I felt like I was drowning in household tasks and always put it off to “I’m just not good at that” Last year I told myself I was going to challenge myself to get good at the things I’m not naturally good at. The first area to tackle was the cleaning routine and it started with “I deserve a clean house, my kids deserve growing up in a clean, orderly home” it’s been going so good!! Not perfect everyday, but good enough and eons better than before. It’s made a world of difference. The spaces in our home feel so calming now.

    Kallie, I want to thank you so much for this Vlog!!!❤❤❤ I hate cleaning but I know I have to do it. I absolutely deserve a clean kitchen and I am grateful and so blessed for the house I living in. Right after I finished watching, I started mopping and washed my dishes. There was something that you said, or the way that you said it that really motivated me to get up. This is one vlog I will definitely watch when I need that motivation again. Best Wishes

    It’s true if you just get started, a task is completed before you know it. I’d been putting off changing the cabinet pulls on my kitchen cabinets. It seemed as if it would take hours… so, I kept putting it off. I finally got to it a few days ago and it only took 40 minutes. Lol. Now to clean out my closets. 😂

    I’m so much worse at keeping up when I’m cohabiting with another adult… I usually dont mind to clean up after my child but it causes me serious rage when I’m the sole housekeeper in a two-adult household. I work. I pay **at least** half the bills. Why am I also expected to contribute more of my time to maintaining OUR home?
    Ugh…
    The next problem I have is that I’ll get started moving to take care of chores, I’m a bit of a perfectionist and it causes me to spend extra time on some chores.. I’ll spend 6 hours completing tasks and go to bed with a seriously sore back and hips 😭 I know keeping up is the solution, but it’s difficult to get started when I know it’s going to end in pain 😬 this also causes extra resentment if I’m cohabitating 🙃

    Aloha Ms. Beautiful Coffee Lady, I simply adore your videos. If your videos can’t motivate me - nothing can 🤣. Due to severe Scoliosis, even when I’m super rested and motivated, I can’t just go go go. The lower back pain forces me to lie down for awhile and then I force myself to get all motivated again and little by little, day and night (I’m a Night Owl🦉) slowly but surely, my home is neat and clean, beautiful and Home Sweet Home🤍.

    I think getting yourself in a good mood first helps!!! I take multi-vitamins every day to feel more energy/energized!! I listen to music I love, read good things I like,etc......I just have to get myself feeling good first. Then the motivation comes!! Sometimes I'm up doing things before I even think about it because I feel good 😊😁 and yes,first coffee lol

    Great info! I’m sharing this with a friend who often feels sluggish. I think your body at rest stays at rest idea is spot on.
    Bonnie Hunt’s dad said something similar to that. It was something like...Being idle promotes a feeling of tiredness, and work doesn’t get done. But when you’re move, you feel more energetic.

    As a teen, when Mom dropped off the vacuum cleaner in my room and closed me in to clean, I cried, quietly, dreading the task. It's not what I wanted to do. Fast forward 50 years, I can choose to not clean if I don't want to, but I enjoy it now. It's not something I HAVE to do, but the dopamine rush from finishing the dishes right down to wiping the sink dry, is totally worth it. It's good to be retired and an empty-nester. God bless you SuperMoms and Dads who aren't there yet. I pray that you find the strength you need to do it all. 🙂👍❤️

    Luv these concepts, especially the 2nd one--already moving. I use this mindset a lot--on the way back from the bathroom, getting water, checking the mail--to sneak in small tasks that lead to accomplishing other task..progression not perfection!

    Hahaha, the first thing you said was something like "most of us don't wake up thinking yay I get to clean." I literally do that!! I work from home while watching my baby and today we took him to a babysitter because I had a work meeting. The work meeting got done early and I literally just said "yay, I have 2 hours free to clean the house!" And I clicked on your video to listen to while I clean, and then your first comment made me laugh. lol
