Gareth, that is one of the best innings of yours I have watched. Yes there were chances, yes it wasn’t fluent at the start, but you kept going and when Ollie’s superb innings ended, you went into another gear. That for me shows class !! Well batted!!

Gareth, I’ve just come back from a weekend away with my family & what a video to top the weekend off!
An outstanding knock from Ollie & a top contribution from yourself too! It really goes to show what digging in can do & battling your way through a tough period.
One thing I noted about the opposition though, it’s funny how amateur cricketers react when a drop occurs. Yes, I know it’s a good standard but it still makes me chuckle to see players react like that.
The victory will make that even sweeter!

what a knock Gareth absolutely fantastic especially since you're out of form ❤
One tip: for the spinners especially your head tends to lean towards the right and you fall over causing you to flick a lot especially when the ball is rather straight what I suggest is you try and stay more upright get that left leg outta the way and on drive through mid wickets left and mid on's right also those guys are bowling too slow for you to he pull behind square especially since the ball is outside off as well

Brilliant Gareth well done top knock by yourself and Ollie. I've opened before and been on 2 after 10 overs then went on to get 70 plus after 20. If you can battle through the tough spells you're right it does get easier.

Drops never happen if you don't battle your way through anyways. Clean 100 from Oli and lovely to see the * next to your score at the end of a long chase. You might not have had a lot left in you but that's how it should be. Way to leave it all out there, support your partners well, and grind through the first half of your innings before the second half grew in fluency and timing.

Gareth, batting is in pairs. You work together to build an innings together. You were struggling but Ollie was flourishing the other end so giving him the strike was the best thing you did. It allowed time for you to get the pace then take it on further for the win. Great knock by both of you for the win.

Those innings like you played quite often go unnoticed or undervalued by innings with more runs or higher striking but they are they most important in a teams innings having someone to pop over strike and hit some boundaries yet stay out there and bat the time. As you said at the end getting tired 50 overs is a long time sometimes it ends up better batting longer that quick small scores
