Hey Gareth, wonderful innings as always at this stunning ground once again, been watching for a while and never fail to watch a video all the way through once I click on it. Leaves me wondering how I can sit here and watch a guy bat for half and hour and be incredibly entertained. Remember watching you back when you had around 10k subs which is still a lot but when I checked back in on your channel the other day I was absolutely flabbergasted to see 163k! Ever since then I have been hooked on these videos. Amazing how far you've come and hope for some more great innings to come in the future. Massive respect to the other club for playing the kid and the woman. A lot of clubs don't do that.
Love your batting bud. Just a small observation. And maybe you can pick it up from watching this video back. You should not be missing as many balls going down leg as you do. Your eye is too good for that. When the ball hits middle or leg, your head is still and upright and you connect more than you miss... but when it angles outside leg, and all you need is some bat on it for easy runs, you lean too far over to the off side. Your head gets too far outside the line of the delivery. Overbalancing. I used to fix it by shortening my front foot step towards the ball, but leaning into it on the front foot. Then just let the elbow lead the bat through the line of the ball. It forced me to lean forward (almost like anticipating a quick single off the bat), and almost running at it in the follow-through. I became killer off anything on my pads and going down leg. Maybe it will work for you. I just got someone to throw balls 1 or 2 stumps outside leg at me from 3/4s up the pitch. Fixed almost overnight

he is, just a shame about his size, at that ages it takes alot to get the ball over 20 yards, once he grows up abit he gunna take lots more of wickets for fewer runs.
had a youngster just like him in our team, could spin it both ways just struggled getting it up there but once he grew up he troubled the batters and took wickets.

That young offie is going to be a gun player soon! I play amateur league cricket in the US and we see lots of younger players playing in adult leagues (mostly due to lack of volume of age cricket). These players end up being some of the best players on the teams from 15/16 years old and some of them even went to the U-19 World Cup this year!
Maybe need to have a few matches in the US soon 👌
