Those three landings were especially ugly. Aircraft tires weren’t designed to go sideways. It’s almost like the pilots didn’t correct prior to touch down. But that’s what you get when the brains put most the runways going east west when the winds don’t always go that way. 22R would have been the better runway to land today…
You might want to watch some of 74gear videos done by a 747 pilot. He posted a video on crabbing a while back. From what he explained, quite normal to do in crosswinds and yes, the tires are made for landing strike this.
They were all laying off a ton of right drift! Nicely done.
Great job, beautiful landings!
Great shots
Amazing shots 😊
“Let’s see…stress the vertical stabilizer or stress the main gear??…We’ll go with the landing gear!”
Crosswind landings are a normal part of flying but these were very side loaded…
Fantastic catches mate 👏
Must be scary seeing the outside of your plane so Crooked/Sideways looking
Maybe the best footage of the year.
This is awesome!
What was the wind speed?
This is what Air Force pilots do. Ripping the tires off instead of wing down top rudder alignment.
Excellent vid 👌
YES!
Wow!
Difficult landings to maneuver and definitly hard on those tires. They were smoking!
They need another runway.
WTF ......landing in a crab......rudder
They did, just not very much
widebody aircraft's landing gear are designed to land in a crab. completely normal.

Or 22L…

When somebody who has no idea what they're talking about comments...
Bro be quiet you unprofessional human being
This is quite often in crosswind landings, and the aircraft’s Tyres(not tires) touched down at an angle not sideways. Geez
