18:10 as a carousel enthusiast, this made me a little emotional. Coney Island used to be a haven for carousels and now… well, it’s not to say the least. This is an incredible piece of history. I see a lot of pictures and videos of steeplechase. Silent. Hearing what it sounds like almost makes me feel like I was there. If you could somehow publish these recordings in full, that would be great!!
ETA: Coney Island had multiple carousels, and the third carousel recording, if I had to guess, they are cheering because people are grabbing for rings!
Fun story: I bought a Casa Magnetica post card from the 60s. I scanned it, made a copy of it, and hid it inside of Casa Magnetica when I worked in the attraction. When they changed the attraction, one of my supervisors actually found the postcard and put it in a little frame. To my knowledge, it is still in the attraction. God, I love that place!
When I was about 5 years old we started going to Cedar Point until I was 18. I remember that kind of ragtime music similar to the 6 Flags theme song being played at various venues in the park. Such a fun podcast and the visuals are super fun. Don’t just listen, watch!
Hi Dan. I'm a fan of the channel and AJ's sidekick in recent Zero Credits Remaining trip reports from Great America. I LOVE your channel and Shockwave (all things Anton really, what we call *Anton-ness*). I attended the ACE convention in Dallas way back in 1981 (I was 12) and recently came across a mint, vintage ceramic Shockwave beer mug, same design as the one featured in this vid, but the printing registration is slightly askew. Maybe THAT rare collectable worth thousands?!? Just kidding. Are they common? Would you know anything about vintage SW merch? I thought I'd ask a fellow SW lover. Have a great day! -Thomas
the end of this video was wild yall are masterful song writers also loved the first half of the vid!!

Thunderbolt was also featured in requiem for a dream
Maybe they mean the drop is 90 degrees relative to the incline of the lift lol
Any plans to digitize these and put em online somewhere?
@@ZoniesCoasters that’s a good idea! I’ll put the tracks and footage together and upload it soon

Other than a handful of shirts, cups and mugs, there’s not too much SW merchandise out there! I hope they make more 🥵
