1. Blindfolding our guests for the aisle walk 2. Bespoke collar for my guide dog Miss Molly from Eleganza (gifted) 3. 3D Sound and scented flowers up the aisle that grew intensity as I approached my husband to be 4. Kew Gardens gave us an audio described tour with a bespoke guide who does accessible tours all the time around the gardens. 5. Navilens codes on all my signs and table talkers. Nothing was really written. They could access the menu, table plans and cocktail list with the code. 6. A soundscape from our videographer along with extra videos of our guests audio describing by their outfits and telling us their favourite moment of the day 9. a buggy to transport disabled guests between buildings 10. when arranging our canapés we made sure it was food that was easy and tidy to eat. Eg. Our veggie sushi rolls were amended to have a glaze instead of a dipping sauce. Perfect for a blind bride in a white dress. 11. Braille on the name cards 12. I got taught how to make the sugar flowers on our cake by Rosalind Miller so I knew exactly what went into them
Love these! There's something more special about the audio guestbook/ when guests describe their outfits and favourite part of the day, I think you can gather more about the ambience of the day and memories of loved ones' voices will be treasured forever 😊
I only counted 10. It must have cut off the last 2! I love guests' audio describing their outfits and favorite part of the wedding that is special and unique!🥰
Wow thank you. You just made your video more accessible to people with hearing problems of different kinds 🤗🌺 I really love all your ideas. And love that you share it all with us. Thank you Lots of love from a grateful fan in Denmark 🇩🇰
the audio messages is SUCH a good idea because even as your husband ages or ever loses his sight himself, they'll still be accessible to him to look back on!
There's at least one company that does this, they give you a rotary phone that's color coordinated to your decor and then guests use it to leave voice-mail messages for you
Kew Gardens is the only place I have been that has been 100% inclusive and fully understand near enough every single disability going. I felt comfortable for the first time to use a wheelchair there without being judged at all and the staff were all amazing
Your wedding sounds, I do like that you included your guests in your thoughts when you are making your plans. You made this an event for your guests also. Congratulations have a happy life together 💝.
I'm partial disabled and use mobility aids. Earlier ths year mu husband and I went to a friend's wedding. I went in my wheelchair, and it was wonderful. Everyone was accommodating in the best way, holding doors, lifting my chair over thresholds, helping me get food that I couldn't quite reach. No one was rude or tried to overstep and it was amazing. It doesn't take as much as people think to make an event feel inclusive, even if you can't do it all.
I'm glad you had a wonderful day that you'll treasure. You'll find people kind and accommodating at weddings bc they want everyone to enjoy the day especially for the bride and groom to have happy memories and to know that their guests are having a good time👍
I love those audio messages not only because they're accessible. But also because you'll always be able to hear those persons voices even if they might one day not walk the earth anymore.
Such a beautiful example of how universal design makes everything better - you not only thought of things to make your experience richer and more memorable, but every single one of those implemented ideas made the wedding more unique and more engaging for everyone that was not blind! It’s why we need to blur the line between the disabled and abled worlds - this is just one example of work that you’d be so talented at that is only enhanced by your being blind - you’d be a magnificent wedding/event planner because you’re detail oriented but don’t lose sight of the big picture, you’re very honed in on the experiential opportunities that you can weave into the event to create stronger memories, and you’ve got a different way of understanding people, their personalities, and strengths, which makes you the best planner of the emotional and touching moments. These are just things I see in your work across social media platforms, and I’m sure that your loved ones could say so much you’re talented in. Still, it’s an easy example of how much beauty the world loses in undervaluing our contributions as disabled people, and not seeing us as qualified for all kinds of work. It’s frustrating to have to make our own way, but you’ve shown how you can do it, still, with this account. Not to mention - the triumphant day that you get to marry the love of your life and include all the things that make it for both of you! All the more reason everyone should be following you, Lucy. You’ve done a beautiful job.
You look absolutely amazing. Your dress was absolutely beautiful. Congratulations your such an adorable couple. I wish you all the very best for the future.
Everything about your wedding looked beautiful. The dress, the decor, the food looked yummy. I especially love the hanging wisteria flowers. Such an elegant touch.
The audio guest book is brilliant! I’m not blind, but I’m very attached to voices, and I can recognize a voice quicker than a face or name. This would be the perfect guestbook idea for me. 💜
I remember ur first videos like these but saying things like how I get past cars being blind now ur making ones being married I’m verry happy for u both,
The audio one made me cry a little, my mom remarried a few years ago and that's something she wishes she would have done as many family members have passed since then.
Wow, I remember you from when you were making your first videos here. So happy to see you still living life to the fullest, big congrats to you both on the wedding!
Exactly it’s one thing saying Kew Gardens are great for accessibility I’m a wheelchair user who’s a bride and we were quoted just under £20k for a wedding on a Monday for 40 people off season. They’re around £60k for a summer weekend wedding and that is just the venue and food it’s insanity. We are getting all that and so much more for £15k for literally everything!!
So beautiful ... First time i saw you was on a say yes to the dress episode that got randomly pushed into my recommandations... I instantly fell in love with your personality and I was so happy to find your chanel
Woah! That's really impressive! Very creative! I'm absolutely amazed! I usually don't like attending weddings but your wedding? I would even pay to experience something like this 😍 Congratulations you two! I wish that your future will be exactly what you dream it to be ❤
Im not blind but I really like the idea of so many of the things you did at your beautiful wedding and ill definitely be coming back to this video for my wedding because it seems like you made it such an amazing day!
Even though im not blind i think i might use one of your ideas on the audio notes from the attendees it just seems so sweet to be able to live the night over through voice instead of writing!
Congratulations!! Your wedding sounds like it was amazing. I like this idea that you really heightened the other sense in the exsperiance and the audio guest book. 100% everyone should be doing that. Being able to hear the ones you love years on

Is it sushi if it’s vegan? Sushi is fish, without the fish it’s just rice and plants (including seaweed)
the audio messages is SUCH a good idea because even as your husband ages or ever loses his sight himself, they'll still be accessible to him to look back on!
“Look back on” 😅 might wanna rephrase that
@@jeremyfoster23reminisce 😂
Is he losing his sight? 😢
@@Emma-MazeI don’t think so. But it is always a possibility.
@@Emma-Maze I don’t think so but the comment was thinking more long term like if something happens or with age :)
I’m not blind but I would love to implement the audio message. That’s awesome

@@ivoryhenson1285this is news to me! that’s cool 😮
As a wedding videographer number 8 hit me 😭🥰 That is so special and an incredible way to relive the day through audio!
Aww! This is actually amazing. I have to agree! It's so special
Yes!!! I love that I’m gonna tell my photography friend about that idea, if she ever has a blind or seeing impaired client 😊
Kew Gardens is the only place I have been that has been 100% inclusive and fully understand near enough every single disability going. I felt comfortable for the first time to use a wheelchair there without being judged at all and the staff were all amazing
That’s amazing, Kew is great
Thats awesome
I kept hearing how amazing Kew is but I live in the US 😭 I must visit some day!
I love the little audio messages, such a nice touch!
It feels much more personal than a written note

The flowers increasing in intensity- what an incredible idea!
I love those audio messages not only because they're accessible. But also because you'll always be able to hear those persons voices even if they might one day not walk the earth anymore.
i literally adore how big and genuine your smile is. you and your husband look so incredibly happy to be married and it warms my heart
This stuff honestly massively enriches the experience sighted or not! Really magical to focus more on senses other than just sight!!
I love that you made your wedding different because you made it how you want it and that makes it beautiful.
I love the audio message so decades later after loved ones pass you can hear their voice and laughter ❤
DANG GIRL. You don’t know you’re beautiful!!!! 🎶 Wonderful captures of a wonderful wedding! Great planning!

CRYINGGGG she’s so beautiful i can’t with her😭😭💗💗💗
I got married in the blind garden at our botanical gardens. I’m not blind but it was cool how they incorporated sounds and scents and textures.
As a visually impaired person who has a 85% chance of going completely blind when I get older I love this sm 😭❤️❤️
As a disabled myself, i teared up when you had the buggy to the venues. Oh i wish everyone would think of things like this.
Brilliant, you looked Beautiful, your husband dapper, and guests all Amazing. The details during the day WOW all inspiring xxx

That venue is absolutely stunning!!! I want a photo on those stairs just in general now! SO GORGEOUS!
Thanks for sharing your moment with us. I'm getting lots of ideas here for things to make events accessible. You're very good at raising awareness.
So beautiful!!!
The blindfolds aren't making anything accessible, they are just making the ceremony blind-centered
The most beautiful wedding and bride I’ve ever seen ❤️
Those things you did add so much more to the experience esp the flower scent, brilliant!
You’re beautiful, Lucy!
Big congrats to you both!!
Also, some of these are just genuinely better ways of doing things. So thoughtful, very big brain 😆👍🔥
Congratulations! A Hundred Years of Health And Happiness!!!
