Your videos have been soooo helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make these incredible videos. Just got my tracker and I’m learning so much from every one of them.
just as a side note.. drawing in effect values also works while the sequence is running. go to a fx lane and press rec + play and you can start drawing in the values of the selected effect live, similar to motion recording function on other machines (edit) on the big tracker that is, don't know about mini
Any ideas for getting the chiptune/LSDJ effects while midi sequencing? Struggling to get the right sound for my lead voice. So far I've only managed to get a clumsy pitch sweep by changing legato/glide time via midi cc for one note then change it back.
With midi, Its turns more of a sequencer as you are sending note and off commands to the external gear. Even with LSDj and a Arduinoboy. There are some effects like retrigger that can work, but its figuring what you need to send to get the sound you want. I am currently working on a chiptune track as I made a chiptune wav table in my latest oscillator pack which I included in the free version. on a gameboy or nes you have 2 square channels with flat duty cycles like 50% 25% 12% and getting pretty good results.
