What did that poor rock do to get bothered by humans? One minute it's a happy rock, sunning itself, next it's 1,000 feet down to a place rock never wanted to go. Wonder if rock will sue? (LOL)
i am not sure how to interpret your comment.....This is all on the taxpayers dime. The reason for doing this is to get rid of a potential danger. The rock was sitting in a precarious position ready do fall at any time. So, the highway dept wanted to get rid of this potential danger in a controlled way.. And that is what they did. They weren't just having fun. And also listen to their conversation. They are analyzing the situation to gain knowledge that contributes to their overall ability to understand how rock falls work.
@@wrightgregson9761 i agree with you sir that is why its called mitigation if the intention is just to cause damage to roads otherwise it wont be called mitigation but this rock mitigation is done in a controlled way to prevent lost of lives or even cause more damage this huge bolder is a potential danger to travelers when a sudden landslide occur this rocks are quite loose just a little bit of shaking in the ground will send cause it to slide down a danger to passing car who might be unaware or caught offguard
You know that rock would have fallen on its own eventually, and would have killed any tree in its way anyways. This is risk mitigation so we can control when it falls. Don't cry over a couple trees, there are billions.
