    As a trofeo owner I must say the car is as quick and precise as you need for everyday driving, I've owned bmw m3s and porsches the trofeo with the ferrari V8 twin turbo gives feeling of uniqueness that other brands did not, sure to be a future collectable. Thanks for the great videos.

    I have to say that having owned a 2019 750 and a 2022 X5, there was absolutely no way that I could stare at those features again. The German's are everywhere and they're great cars but this Ghibli is great because it's so different. It's absolutely beautiful on both the interior and exterior. I've never owned a Dodge product so I don't see anything wrong with the switches. They feel like any other to me. Who uses window switches? Lol...That's something that I guess professional reviewers and extreme car enthusiasts would be bothered by but for most, I can't see it as a deal breaker. The design is timeless and the name comes with prestige so if you want to stand out in a sea of cars, this car fits the bill.

    Maserati completely dropped the ball with their modern lineup. All the right variants coming out AFTER they've tarnished their reputation with lackluster diesels, cheap lease deals and the resulting lack of desire and SHOCKING depreciation... Levante Trofeo, Quattroporte Trofeo and Ghibli Trofeo should've been LAUNCH models! First stir up desire and attention, then feed them diesels, NOT the other way around... such a shame, I would take the previous gen Quattroporte GTS 4.7 any day over any M5, AMG or RS product of its day. Now sadly can't say the same.

      it's so true, my uncle gots a last gen quattroporte 4.7L, it such a savage and nice sounding car and doesn't feels like any others, I've personally almost bought a ghibli sq4 back in italy, and my family stopped me because of the crazy depreciation even in the original hometown of this brand...now their V6 and V8 are dying in Asia because of the CO2 regulations, such a sad story....I can't even imagine if one day those petrol leader brands fully turns into electric...everything is gonna be so boring

    Fantastic car and color, however I got really de-hyped when you mentioned the no carbon ceramic brakes and even more when you said the car has WINTER tyres (so it also has limited top speed and definitely affected acceleration).

    • @sricharte89
      @sricharte89 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      carbon ceramic breaks good for track days don't think someone who buys this car is goin to track it or do top speed runs everyday if they are near the autobahn that is , this is simply a Italian 4dr gran tourer with a throaty v8 under the hood so cruising in comfort and flair is its main selling point

    • @nik7bkh965
      @nik7bkh965 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Carbon ceramics are not braking better, they are just lighter but who cares about a few more kilograms when we talk about a 2 tons luxury Sedan? Its just marketing, especially by german car manufacturers - no real world usage but it boosts the price tag, and you all eat it haha

    • @TopGear21
      @TopGear21 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@nik7bkh965 I do not disagree, sometimes they are indeed marketing, however you could make a good use of them for a car of 2 tons and 330 kph top speed. They do not brake better in low temperatures, when optimal though, they last longer and brake a little better than the "ordinary" ones. Brakes are always a useful upgrade you can make to your car.

    The smart longterm move is to wait a few years for these to depreciate a lot, then snatch one up when they come in off their initial leases. Then you can get Ferrari power and Italian styling for a hell of a lot less. (and less tech nannies to program around too)

Probably they are not that common as the Germans competitors and that one of thing make them even more special. I think everything which got gens from Ferrari it is already special. @@iDropPhats Hey Alex, as a marketer, I know what you’re saying. That’s a very popular slogan for selling unreliable uncompetitive garbage wrapped in “hand leather” and exclusivity halo. We do the same. “Boutique” ;“Luxury”; “Custom” all those tricks were made to catch few percent of the market by attracting customers desperately seeking for self-esteem.
      No it’s not a competitor to M5 (AMG63; etc) if it could be by any means: Maserati wouldn’t be detrimental for a decades. Even FCA barely believed in it and started saving ALFA first by creating stunning GULIA, on all-new rear wheel platform.
      You may think that I’m a Maserati hater. Actually I’m not: I drove V8 Ghibli back in 2006 and it was a very captivating experience. But owner of that car had sooo much trouble with it. And the car already felt dated back then, and we never saw *really* new version .
      So I’m saying - buying GHIBLI in 2022 has no logic background at all. Pure brandophilia.

      @@serhiy1237 cheapest way to get a brand new Ferrari V8 engine. Also the infotainment system got updated and is now on par with at least the VAG infotainment system. Interior is more luxurious than any 5 series (leather options etc) besides some plastic buttons from the chrysler group... Reliability is also not an argument, especially because M5s and e63 amgs break down often too, especially newer BMWs have increased reliability issues.
      Not that of a bad car in the end, and the Ghibli is by for not a generic car like a (in-house tuned) 5 series or e classes, which remind me more of Taxis than 150.000€ performance Sedans (even with m badges and amg badges all over the body...)

      @@serhiy1237 Pretty much. Now I will say that since driving the Levantine Trofeo, that car is actually worth the money in many aspects, to a point. Is it practical? In a sense, yes. Is it fast? Stupid fast. Is it comfortable? Far beyond expectations. But does it live up to the price tag? No. I feel like Maserati as a brand is experiencing an identity crisis. They don’t really know what they are…

    Everyone agrees that the interior is luxurious, but sometimes, some vloggers claim that the plastic buttons for controlling the air conditioning, look cheap.
    Here the guy gives an example with Alfa Romeo Stelvio and BMW 5. I have owned the last two generations of Audi A6, I have been on board BMW 5 series and X6, I have driven Stelvio, I have not found any difference, even in A6 and most BMW plastics are terrible, with Alfa Romeo they were at a higher level.
    Is this actually a trend to swear Italian and others, non German brands or does everyone have their own understanding of "luxury plastic"?

    That volume button isn't from FCA and that climate control isn't from FCA. The only things from FCA are the turn signal stocks and the minor buttons like those to turn your fog lights on and off. Those buttons are generic in every car (even in a car like a Rolls Royce). What's the big deal?

    9:41 I’m sorry but you’re disappointing me here. Getting a Maserati Tropheo makes no sense from the start. Maseratis are GT cars, they are nothing else than GT cars, it really pisses me off to hear you saying it is struggling with its identity, you said in the beginning it was the one to get bla bla bla, no it is not the one to get, if you want a Maserati get the luxury version, period. Any car enthusiast should know this, this is Maserati’s history and heritage
