Awesome picks! I love SCHD, I really think the way to go is to add the growth separately, like a VGT or Individual stocks like AAPL and MSFT while keeping SCHD as the core holding.
Not necessarily though there is a fair amount of overlap but that’s not necessarily a negative. It's good to have a diversified portfolio. Over the past two years, my initial deposit of 170K has grown to 890K👌Cheers
I lost a lot chasing individual stocks and I feel pretty stupid for not understanding how investing works. I have a double major in economics but I’ve been trying to make sense of the market. Well done on profits!
Keep it simple, buy things you understand, take some risk but don't try to shoot the lights out. I’m invested in equity index funds, ETFs and various high-quality stocks and use a CFA. On average, she takes 10% off earnings, but using *Lina Dineikiene's* system makes it much more hands-off. I conservatively follow her recommendations and market entry and exit points, and tbh this makes it possible for me
Thanks for the video :) Just to add some extra info - you get free brokerage if your trade is $1000 or less for each stock (or holding) per day. For example, if I buy $1000 worth of stocks of VAS and $1000 worth of VGS on the same day my brokerage is still $0 on both occasions.
@@MatthewVansteynapparently it's just under $1000 per day. You can just string it out over a few days if you want to buy like $3000. Go in for $800 a day for several days in a row. Of course the share price might move around a bit but if there's been no dramatic changes in the few days you're doing it, you're likely not going to be out much.
Hi Sanjee. Could you please do a video on understanding all the CMC App pages please? I find some of it quite confusing. All I want to view is basic info.
My first take is it does a lot of things that I probably don’t need since I mainly invest on the ASX. Any international exposure I have is through ETFs listed on the ASX.
Hey there, thanks for the information. Having a bit of trouble though understanding the most effective way to setup orders outside of market time, due to my work schedule I'm never available during those hours. I'm new to investing and through maybe there was also a way to setup auto investing in the cmc markets app on the phone, but I can't for the life of me figure that out, is it even possible?
Hey Sanjen looking to start investing in US etfs using CMC. My dollar cost averaging won’t allow me to buy a full share of one of my etfs and I don’t think CMC ables me to buy fractional shares.. Is this true or?
Hi Sanjee. CMC offer Crypto to buy. Do you recommend going through this platform for Crypto? I know that CMC’s Brokerage fees are 0.9 percent. Spreading fee is 0.6 Percent on weekdays and 1.2 Percent on weekends….
Hey Sanjee, good work. which broker has the best charts, especially requires for short term trading. Or do any third party apps work in Aus? eg: trading view. Thank you
Hi Vipin, I've not really used these platforms for charts. But I've noticed CMC's charting tool is a lot more advanced than the CommSec one I used to use. I'm probably not the best person to ask about this. Hopefully someone else can comment below with their thoughts too.
Try Google Finance. It's like part of the Google search engine but you can install it as an app and it will basically run using chrome. I have had 5 different companies all compared against each other on the one page. I find the smallcaps website is good too. Tells you in real detail about the company and if it's mining, exactly where it's mines are and what percentage ownership if it's multiple owners.
Just trying to understand, once i have done my first trade under $1000 on the day, it means if i trade same amount the next day i will pay a brokarage fee?
Apparently not. People wanting to buy $2000-$3000 are actually stringing it slowly over a few days doing one trade per day under $1000. But it's is a 1 per day deal.
Hi, I am new to CMC, I have only put a small amount into my account and I can’t seem to add funds into any shares. And it’s really frustrating as I only wanted to start of small to start with. I’m trying to work out what I’m doing wrong
I have a 3 fund portfolio but I have finally decided to invest in ETFs, alongside. I’m looking at SCHD, VOO, XLK or SCHG.
Awesome picks! I love SCHD, I really think the way to go is to add the growth separately, like a VGT or Individual stocks like AAPL and MSFT while keeping SCHD as the core holding.
@barbborstein7640 thank you! Actually would it be silly to have both?

Thanks for calling it out!
will it be still $0 fee if you buy the same vas and vgs under $1000 next month or so ? or only the 1st $1000 stock, have you used the cmc app ?

CMC does what I need it for, I’m not a pro so it’s easy for me
Same for me!
Great quality video, thanks Sanjee. Just out of curiosity, what mic did you use for this video? Your voice is so clear!
Thankyou. Short, sweet and to the point.
What are your thoughts on Interactive Brokers and their fee structures? (IBKR)

Hey Sanjee,
I can't trade via my commsec mobile app as it says ' You're trying to trade using commsec pocket account'
How can I solve issue?
Cheers

Is CMC better than any other broker in AUS?
Hi Sanjee.
CMC offer Crypto to buy.
Do you recommend going through this platform for Crypto?
I know that CMC’s Brokerage fees are 0.9 percent.
Spreading fee is 0.6 Percent on weekdays and 1.2 Percent on weekends….
Is it still a good app to invest? Thanks
After buying stock for $500 CMC not letting me buy for less than $500 same stock 😮
Am not the only one.
That's an ASX rule. No trades under $500.
@@Concert_guruit's an ASX rule. No buy trades under $500.
Brokerage is “first buy order under $1,000, per ETF, per trading day”. As I understand it if you bought another ETF
Thanks for clarifying that. Yes I believe all purchases usually have a minimum of $500 per transaction.

hi Sangee, how about doing a video on returns on ETFs
Could you do the same walkthrough for IBKR in the future brother? Thanks.
I’ll have a look. I don’t normally use things outside of CMC though

Why does mine has a macquirie bank account not ANZ one?
Screw Macquarie and St George. 2 of the worst banks in Australia.

The order has to be for $500 or more if you don’t already own that particular stock (ASX rule)
And if you want to buy USA shares it’s a minimum of $1000 each time.
Does cmc allow bitcoin etf investment?
Yes. You just buy them like you would US shares.
Bro please make video on VGS vs BGBL
Certainly will add it to the list
Thank you Sanjee
Can you do any video related to food stocks
Thank you!
