My goal is that every day I’m trying to take one or two items that I don’t use or need and put them in a box for donation. For example, I’m looking at seven coffee mugs and I’m the only one who drinks coffee out of two people who live here! So, I will take them down to one or two. Thanks for the videos!

It is great to hear your journey towards minimalism! Keep inspiring and make your home a joyful place. ❤️ P.S.if these coffee mugs make you happy, you may want to keep it. Sometimes you need extra set for guests☺️.

It’s so satisfying to watch your videos on minimalism but at the same time it feels frustrating because my hubby is never into Minimalism and not interested in living with bare minimum standards ☺️. He likes collecting antiques like antique furniture and decorative items😅.M slowly getting fed up with decor stuffs no matter how beautiful they are. Even though he is mindful in buying things like he buys unique n good qualities but Having 2 kids , part time job and housework… I hardly get time to clean every single day and maintain the stuffs n house like how I wanted. Its stressful and exhausting most of the times. Any advice??? Thank you in advance n keep posting and sharing your thoughts and ideas in maintaining simple n happy lives. ❤❤❤❤

It is hard to change your habits, especially if you share your life with someone, but maybe a little compromise can lead to a happier place for both of you! 😊 and don’t forget, Japanese minimalism is about keeping things that make you feel joy - if antique things make your husband happy, he will make your more happy, and in this case minimalism matters less than your family happiness. However, as a woman I understand your feel and passion towards clean and minimalistic home. Probably, if you start little by little, you will sense more self satisfaction. I would suggest that you focus primarily on your own space, your wardrobe, your bath shelves, etc. you will inspire all your family members this way. I will share more thoughts later. Thank you for sharing, openness and trust🫶🏻🌹

I don't know the core meaning of minimalism in Japanese, but it seems to me that a better English word would be essentialism. That is, keeping only the essentials.

I agree with you. By the way there is a video on my channel where I explain and compare these two concepts, minimalism vs essentialism
