I like seeing what other stitchers are doing. I have a very small stash and am blown away watching floss-tubers buying numerous patterns. I have around ten and have no issue borrowing other people's patterns as I could never afford to buy them on my fixed income. I also use the same patterns I have over and over for the same reason.
Hi Carol , sure enjoyed your video . Luv all your stitching , quilts , everything is beautiful ! So cool the Lisa Bongean quilt , please show progress when you do a block . I used to make quilts , usually hand quilted back in the day . I’m a grandma of 69 years , live in Michigan . Thanks for your inspiration , and sharing your stories . Happy holidays to you and your family .
I so enjoy seeing what you are stitching, planning and finishing! Such lovely pieces! Thanks for sharing your faith and taking the time to visit with us! I hope you and your family have a peaceful Christmas season. 🙏🏻❤️
Finally got to watch your video. Another lovely one! I so look forward to them. Beautiful Christmas stitching! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your time talent& treasures with us!
I enjoyed stitching with you tonight. Your Christmas stitching is fantastic. Hopefully you'll be thru those 11 quilts ASAP & can relax a little during the remainder of the Advent season. Have a great week & stitch on!!
Always look forward to your videos and you never disappoint. This one was super inspiring to me because it reminded me I too have that quilt kit from Lisa Bongean from many years ago. Now I have to dig in my sewing room to find it. Thanks for a great video.
Thank you Carol for sharing your Christmas Holiday stitching, it motivated me to start Blackbirds Feliz Navidad, and thank you for the kind words you had at the end of your video, they were so sweet.
Love your work, your videos, your sense of humor. Thank you for taking the time to gather items and make this video for us. My list of things I want to stitch from your videos grows longer every video so I better get stitching!!!
Always enjoy your visits. You’re very inspiring. My 18 month old sleeps with me and he’s horizontal by morning lol I’m quilt worthy!!! Lol you make me laugh.
Wonderful to see you again Carol!! Everything is just beautiful! Every finish was just perfect and every WIP will be just as beautiful and perfect! You make me hang my head in shame. LOL. I mean, what have I done with my stitching life? Nowhere near as much as you and your are my hero! Work has been crazy and I haven't been able to stitch in months. Myabe a few minutes here and there and I'm out for the count. Lol. Bjt I've been kitting up every Blackbird design that I can and I've joined a fabric of the Month club finally, so I can start matching fabrics with patterns. I will be taking off work for a little while for a minor surgery soon, so will be so happy to get some stitching in again. Thank you for making your videos and showing all your wonderful stitching! Take care, Ruth.
I started Hannah Tingey on Thanksgiving Day and am very much enjoying her. Love that quilt pattern you showed at the end - it will be gorgeous with those wools.
Really enjoyed seeing all your pieces! I bought Elizabeth Baker too! My mom's maiden name was Baker and one of her oldest sisters name was Elizabeth. I'm looking forward to starting it after Christmas. I lost my mother Feb 8,2009. I still miss her everyday. My dad died when I was 20 years old. I lost my only sister in 2008. Half of my family is gone too. I hold on to all the good memories. Christmas is always theist difficult holiday. My mother always did my tree as her gift to me. My trees were always so beautiful. We did crafts and cooking together every year. I hope all of your memories of your family make you smile at Christmas this year. ❤
Another lovely video and a good reminder of what the true meaning of Christmas is . Always enjoy seeing your projects and find them very inspirational.
Very beautiful stitching and inspiration. Thank you so much for all you do. I very much appreciate all your videos and would never miss one. Stay well and take care!
Enjoyed your video today. Love the wall of samplers especially Christmas Garden. It’s one I’d love to stitch. Fun to see your Christmas samplers and pillows.
Carol...another awesome video...praying the holidays for you and your family are very special...love, love all you showed and looking forward to a home tour when you get ready...praying for all our FlossTubers during this meaningful time❤️
Love your stories, especially about sleeping with your grand daughter circling around in bed, and the huge bear hug! I'm still smiling! 😊 Thanks so much Carol. 💕
I just have to comment and say how much I appreciate your videos. I am now stitching the Scattered Seed sampler Catharine Dickenson sampler and hope to finish well before Christmas, but we'll see! I especially appreciated your Christmas message at the end of the video. What a great reminder and a blessing you are to share our focus for the Christmas time, even through our hardships. THANKS!
I too love stitching the complete border and then I do the insides. Loved everything you showed us. I’m stitch worthy and quilt worthy in case you were wondering. LOL! Stay safe and healthy! Love ya!
Merry Christmas to you! With 2020 being so different, I too have decided to “game the system.” Seems fitting! I have all the wool blocks now for Lisa Bongean’s wool quilt called Everlasting. I’m ready to do a couple of blocks a month. They aren’t as intricate as your wool quilt blocks, and I’m going to sew on cotton. I’m thinking I don’t need a heavy all wool quilt. But I could change my mind in the next few weeks. I have all the wool. I also decided on those Artful Offerings patterns. They are lovely. I’m hoping for a white Christmas this year. Some deep snow would be awesome since most of us will be home anyway. My husband and I lived in Fort Lauderdale for a few years in the 80s. Loved wearing shorts and talking to my parents back in Wichita while they were knee deep in snow! Now I love the snow...when I don’t have to shovel it to go anywhere. Which is 2020! Enjoy your videos, all of them! Lynn in Indiana
Thank you for your video. Love sharing this time with you. Love looking at all your WIPS and hearing your plans. I want to finish a bunch of WIPS in the New Year, too, but I also want to start everything right now!! I hope and pray for a wonderful Christmas for everyone, however they can celebrate, with renewed hope for our world for next year. Take care and happy stitching!
Love, love, love your flosstubes! I always look forward to watching as soon as I can.. I have to say you are the most prolific stitcher I have ever seen... I can't compliment you enough on your beautiful projects...I like how you show the smalls that you've done along with the samplers...so many awesome pieces...thank you! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I love you Saltbox Stitcher, you inspire me, you make me laugh, so glad to have your videos to look forward to. Thanks so much for all you share with us.❤️
I always enjoy seeing all that you show. I think your WIP plans for 2021 are wonderful but how on earth can you get everything done in December and sleep. I wish you and your family a blessed holiday season. We all need to remember that Christmas is our Savior's birthday. All the other added stuff is not important. Love your videos, you always cheer me up.
Lovely show & tell video, Carol! Thank you for adding a couple more Christmas patterns to my list (which wasn’t very big). And I hope your kind words at the end help someone that may struggle through this time of the year.
Carol, thank you so much for sharing your work and your heart. I love your new ‘system’😀. Looking forward to seeing your progress on the wool and flannel quilt. Your rug hooking project is wonderful.
I always enjoy getting to “visit” with you via your videos - I got a few laughs and, of course, lots of eye candy!! I also have Barbara Ana’s “All Creatures Great and Small” as a WIP. I hope that I will be able to work on it in 2021. Your wool quilt kit is absolutely gorgeous; I see why you would want to work on it, anything done on black is always gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your various pieces for Christmas, etc. Along with you, I pray that Christ will be our holiday focus so that we will not be stressing over the “things” of this world; just know that God has a plan and he will provide. Blessings to you and your family. Hugs and happy stitching............
What an inspiring and Gorgeous Christmas parade !!! Bear hugs are truly the best thing a grand gives freely and the joy we get from their excitement ❤️ Wishing you have a blessed Holiday Season and Happy stitching
Thank you for sharing all your lovely stitching. I look forward to your flosstube video as I just love the stitching of "O for a closer walk with God" at the beginning of your video. This sampler must be out of print so I must watch your video to see it.
It is a reproduction sampler by R and R Reproductions. Have you tried calling Dyeing to Stitch in Virginia? It is their chart. Dyeing to Stitch and R and R are owned by the same 2 women.
You always make me smile and I thank you :). I love how you justify all your new starts - very creative thinking! Your finishes are just beautiful. They inspire me and enable me too!! And thanks for the reminder that we need to focus on the reason for the season. Happy stitching :)
Thanks for another wonderful video, I find it very relaxing to listen to you! I had to laugh out loud about you sleeping with your granddaughter, and the amount of movement little kids do! I don't miss that about my own kids, for the times I slept with one of them. So much activity!
Blessings to you and your family! What a masterpiece wall you have in your home. I’m have been thinking about your comment quilt or stitch worthy. I have my grandma’s quilt that I gave to my daughter who loves vintage quilts. She has used and washed it so much that it is coming apart and time to mend it. What is the best way to start to repair the legacy quilt? Enjoy your wonderful handmade treasures. Happy Holidays!
Hi Carol, Thank you for doing another great video. I always look forward for your floss tube to see what you are working on. Have a great time stitching. Happy Holiday. Take care and be safe.
Thanks for the lovely reflection on the melancholy many of us feel on Christmas. I appreciate your encouragement to consider the true meaning of the holiday. And as always your projects are so inspiring. I want to stitch all the things every time I watch you!
Thank you so much for sharing another wonderful video....and, your closing thoughts on this coming holiday season... my husband and I will be spending Christmas in Cape Coral FL this year instead of going home to Quincy IL to spend with family...will miss them but we want to be sure we can hopefully be together next year...take care...
Loved seeing your beautiful Christmas stitching!!! Jane Baxter is gorgeous!! Love your system! Thanks as always for the inspiration. Stay safe and happy stitching.
Carol, your stitching always amazes me. I need to add another 30 years on to my life to catch up with all your projects. "QUILT WORTH and STITCH WORTHY" LOL, my son, Mike and DIL Milla are worthy but the others, definitely NOT! I told Mike don't give my work to Goodwill and he promised he wouldn't. Glad you had fun at your daughter's sleep over. Melanie is 8 and when she stays, she sleeps in between us...until I have to move💕💕💕
Thanks for sharing....amazing and great plans ahead....I'm still trying to have 2 more finishes for the year.....sounds like you had and amazing Thanksgiving...take care and be safe
What a perfect way to end the weekend visiting with you and all your glorious works!! I love the beautiful Backyard Quilt kit!! The colors are gorgeous! Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Sleeping with little ones is an event all it’s own!! All of my aunts, uncles, parents are gone and my two kids live away. My daughter is in Norway and my son in another state. Christmas is bitter sweet but thank goodness for FaceTime!! I celebrate Christ’s birth and find much peace. Anyway, I always enjoy your videos and am ready for your next one!!
My oh my do you have some wonderful plans going on there! I have started a few new projects myself so I shall be in the same boat next year. Trying to knock off some finishes. Now onto a far more serious conversation 🥸 I don’t quilt. Yet somehow I have managed to purchase TWO quilt kits from country sampler 🤦🏼♀️ so you have taken your enabling powers to a whole new level! Honestly Carol you are going to have to send me a stipend if I am going to continue watching your videos! 😝
Loved all your finishes!! But , most of all, I love hanging out with you!! You had me throwing my head back and laughing out loud several times! Such a great personality! ❤️
I love everything you shared, and would stitch them all! Noel Sampler is kitted and ready to go if I can keep from getting distracted 🤣. Thank you for the Christmas Garden eye candy! To have your grandchildren so excited to have a sleepover, a bear hug in the middle of the night...such tremendous blessings. May you have a blessed Christmas as we remember to be thankful for what we are truly celebrating at this time of year🙌❤️
Thank you got your inspirational message at the end. Holidays as you know can be empty with out the special people in your life. But the true reason for Christmas is a promise kept.
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and birthday (Nov 25). This is always my favorite time of year. I’m so grateful for my family and friends and especially my stitching friends!! I so look forward to seeing all of your beautiful stitching. I hope someday I will be as accomplished as you are. Thanks so much for all your encouraging words. I truly love you back Carol!!! Have a wonderful Holiday Season with the Savior in your heart and home.
Another great Flosstube, Carol. Love hearing from you. You keep everything so lighthearted. Thanks for showing some of your FFOs. You do such beautiful work. See ya next time! Oh, and happy December. How did that happen?
Good video! I love Christmas. I have dozens of Christmas stitching. I have several you showed. My plan to get some of these wips done. I will do 21 in 21. Of course there will be new starts. But my goal is to finish 21 old ones.
Oh how I loved this video. I loved getting to see your Christmas stitching. I’d love for you to do a home tour of your home when you get your holiday decorating done. ❤️Diana
Hey Carol, just so you know...I'm totally stitch and quilt worthy so send them to Overland Park Kansas any time you get an urge. By the way, do you remember Kathleen Brassfield from Saltbox Sampler? She was a fabulous quilter. She passed away last week from Covid. It's just so sad. I knew the other grandma from her family and have been on prayer focus for them. She was such a sweet soul. Happy holidays. Love my every other Sunday vids with you.
Oh my goodness yes I do know her. In fact she was my first quilt teacher. She taught at a store called (I think) calico country on Santa Fe. A few years later I worked part time there. Even before Saltbox Sampler. So sad that she passed. Yes prayers for her family!! Thanks for sharing.
Carol your projects and stitching is stunning 🤩! Could you maybe pause ever so slightly when you hold up your floss and fabric to show? You move quickly and it is just a blur of color on my screen. Best Wishes!
Thank you for a great video, always look forward to see what you are working on. What a wonderful WIP plan strategy, I may have to adopt it 😀. I had planned to start Winter Rose Manor January 1st but have been on the fence with the fabric, I think I will wait for the Brenda's brew also.
Carol, when you were talking about stitching borders, I thought of All Creatures Great and Small. I left all those leaves until the end. And then you showed yours! I feel the same way about “passing stash”. I’m always a little sad when I see people giving away charts they have just finished. We need to support our designers and brick and mortar stores! I look forward to seeing your Christmas quilts and your tree. ❤️Susan
Love your flosstubes! I know it's a lot of work but the enjoyment we receive from seeing your fabulous cross stitch is so appreciated!
I like seeing what other stitchers are doing. I have a very small stash and am blown away watching floss-tubers buying numerous patterns. I love your videos, Carol, thank you for making them. Although I always end up adding things to my wishlist... I love everything that you stitch 💙
I've got to tell you I think you are humorous and you bring smiles to my face! I can hear myself in you sometimes in the way you talk.
Thanks for sharing your stitching! It’s always so much fun to see what you are up to.

Hahaha. They have the best quilt kits!!!!
Loved all your finishes!! But , most of all, I love hanging out with you!! You had me throwing my head back and laughing out loud several times! Such a great personality! ❤️
Thank you for your encouraging words! Take care and stitch on!
Love your rug hooking project. Learned from you that I can do simple, untaught, pillows with my smalls. Thanks. Wishing you a happy Holiday season.
Samantha Gillam posting~ you bring me so much joy with each floss tube you do- I can’t thank you enough❤️
I love everything you shared, and would stitch them all! Noel Sampler is kitted and ready to go if I can keep from getting distracted 🤣. Thank you for the Christmas Garden eye candy! Lovely video, Carol. Thanks for the sweet, uplifting words at the end. ❤
I like the way you plan! Makes sense to me. So many lovely pieces. Always enjoy your videos, Kristy.
Take care Carol, lovely video as always ❤️
Another great Flosstube, Carol. Love hearing from you. You keep everything so lighthearted. Thanks for showing some of your FFOs. You do such beautiful work. See ya next time! Oh, and happy December. How did that happen?
I always love your finishes and seeing your WIPS. Just beautiful.
Good video! I love Christmas. I have dozens of Christmas stitching. I have several you showed. My plan to get some of these wips done. I will do 21 in 21. Of course there will be new starts. But my goal is to finish 21 old ones.
Wonderful Video as always. Merry Christmas Carol!
Oh how I loved this video. I loved getting to see your Christmas stitching. I’d love for you to do a home tour of your home when you get your holiday decorating done. ❤️Diana
Hi Carol, I like your pillow with the horse with the argyle quilt on his back. Super cute.
Hey Carol, just so you know...I'm totally stitch and quilt worthy so send them to Overland Park Kansas any time you get an urge. By the way, do you remember Kathleen Brassfield from Saltbox Sampler? Hi carol , you have such lovely things to show, hope you are well xx
I laughed so hard when you realized you were looking at the camera instead of the stitched piece! That was a hoot! Thanks
Carol your projects and stitching is stunning 🤩! Could you maybe pause ever so slightly when you hold up your floss and fabric to show? You move quickly and it is just a blur of color on my screen. Best Wishes!
Thanks. Good reminder to slow down.
Thanks Carol another great video. Love everything you do.
❤️Susan
