Carol, you could show everything you've stitched and your WIPs over and over and I would continue to be an avid audience! When you were trying to identify the called for fabric for Jack's Bash, I managed to get Ab out for Abecedarian before you said 'don't tell me' and I promptly shut up!🤣🤣I am an out of season stitcher so I'm at the halfway point of Jack's Bash. I'm starting to get my tunnel vision when I'm nearing a finish. Happy stitching!
Haha!!! You certainly don’t have to do what I say though. Haha! I think I’ll prim that one after I finish stitching it with some coffee or tea and a dry paint brush as that’s how Country Sampler darkens their models. It will give it a deeper primitive look!!

I always love all of your videos, Carol. When your video caption said "Jello Sampler", and when you were showing some Blackbird patterns and some smalls, I thought with the Jello Sampler, you were going to refer to the Blackbird pattern wherein all the little smalls are stitched seperately to go inside the divided box and were to be held up by little empty Jello boxes, as I think that's what Alma and Barb used in their finishing instructions. Your videos are always such a pleasure. I know I probably sound repetitive, but it's the absolute truth!! I refer to you as my " virtual friend, Carol". I love everything you stitch. The Elizabeth Cheetham sampler is so lovely. All the smalls inspire me to get out my spring decor. I will try to hold off til the first of March, however. It's still pretty chilly here on the mountain side of NC. I'm presently stitching on The Saltbox Houses by PS and about to start my first spring one. Thanks so much! My son and daughter in law are actually in NC this weekend staying at her grandparents cabin. It’s a long drive but they’re young and they love going there on a long weekend.

Dewy, Cheatham, and Howe was a law firm created by the hosts of CAR TALK, a PBS radio show, about cars than ran from the 70's through the 90's. The Malgiozzi brothers, Tom and Ray, were from the Boston area and there used to be a sign in a window of a building in Cambridge square where the "offices" of Dewy, Cheatham, and Howe were located. Thank you so much for your videos. I look forward to them and am constantly amazed at your production of beautiful stitches.
My Dad used to refer to ambulance chasing lawyers as being from that law firm. Now I know the story behind it. Every time that sampler comes up, I think of that law firm too. 😊

Oh gosh Carol. I was about to click off and you said your mom used to wear house dresses in the last minute of your video. I’m 65 and my mom did too. For years. In many different prints with stiff belts that matched the fabric. Made me so nostalgic and miss my mom. Thx for that. 💕🌷

You and Mr Saltbox’s chatter back and forth had my hubby come into my sewing room to find out what all the laughing was about. We’ll be married 48 years this year and we both get the verbal jabs back and forth!!! Keep them coming! Don’t laugh about when your in the nursing home stitching as we had a lady who spent a lot of her time cross stitching in her room and as staff we all enjoyed seeing what projects she was working on that day. Take care and though I rarely comment on anybody’s Floss-tube it’s because I know how much time it takes to read them all but I just had to let you know how much I enjoy the sharing of your talents and all the laughter, thanks also to Me Saltbox too. Perhaps I’ll just comment with all hearts then you’ll know I agreed with all the positive comments you received in every episode. ❤❤❤

The Jello sampler explanation was hilarious 😂. Your smalls give me inspiration and I appreciate your confirmation about how time consuming finishing smalls can be. I wondered if it was because I’m such a novice finisher but it really is time consuming. I wish more retailers sold kits as it would keep me moving along. But then I would just buy more kits and then the stash gets bigger and bigger 🙄. Love the banter between you and the Mr. as it is very entertaining. Appreciate you and your channel very much. Ha! I love to see all the work you're doing -- so beautifully, too! I confess I'm not a "holiday" stitcher. I've done one Easter-related piece in my long time of stitching (60 years or so)...no Hallowe'en (I don't even celebrate it -- not since my kids grew up!); no Christmas -- no ornaments. And being Canadian, Thanksgiving and "Patriotic" themes are much lower-key here. But I *do* love the seasons -- so have stiched some related to those, mostly to mark the transitions. I too use "zip" bags for projects if there's nothing else available! And watching you and others, I've managed to move from 28 to 32 to 36 to 40 count. At a year younger than you (also a September baby) and *very* myopic, I've not yet dared to try 46 or higher! Thanks for all you (and your long-suffering DH) do to produce such great flosstube videos! 😉
It is always fun seeing you and your husband bantering back and forth, the Jello comments were hilarious! I love all of your stitching! Brenda Gervais is probably my favorite designer, and I have most of your smalls sitting in my “kitted” projects to be stitched! We can eat Jello, and stitch together in the same nursing home as I know that it is going to take me the rest of my life to get all of the stitching I want to do done! Now, it’s market time, and I am trying to resist purchasing any new patterns, but of course I also bought all of the new Brenda Gervais charts! 😮 Have a great couple of weeks! I feel the same way as you do about clearing things out after Christmas. As a matter of fact I just put some things out this morning after having a clean space for a bit. I haven’t got any spring smalls but after this vlog I think I’ll do a few. The Jello sampler cracked me up as well. I have some hearing loss and get things wrong sometimes as well. I always look forward to Sundays so I can watch you.

I enjoy your flosstubes so much. Your stitching is stunning. I’m new back to stitching after many years away. In the past I would stitch monogamous, and I can’t believe how things have changed and many projects are the norm now . I am now working on two projects( walking on the wild side 😂) thank you for inspiration.
Love your flosstubes. Your work is inspiring. Glad you found a way that works for you to turn your WIPs into finishes. Glad you all cleared up the “Jello Sampler” and so thankful no jello was spilt on a sampler. Love the quilt you designed. You taught me something new in the quilt world, a fat sixteenth is a cigar. Love those reproduction prints before the 1930’s. Especially 1880’s-1920’s. But anything before the 30’s. I found the “ugly” prints of those repros turn out to be wonderful. At my shop I’d have people come in asking for the “ugly” fabric. We made them famous when one sampler maker was doing an appliqué sampler and she needed 3 repro yellows and I only had three in the shop at the time. She thought I was out of my mind wanting her to use the one “ugly” print. She came back in with it made and found it made the quilt. That was all it took. “Ugly” became famous and in demand and cool! Lesson learnt in so many ways and not just in fabric.
I had to stop and comment...I laughed out loud when you said your "main squeeze" because I thought...He's going to say, "I'm your main squeeze.", and darned if he didn't! How funny. You two are a delight!

I always love all of your videos, Carol. When your video caption said "Jello Sampler", and when you were showing some Blackbird patterns and some smalls, I thought with the Jello Sampler, you were going to refer to the Blackbird pattern wherein all the little smalls are stitched seperately to go inside the divided box and were to be held up by little empty Jello boxes, as I think that's what Alma and Barb used in their finishing instructions. Thank you for another great video. You and your husband are so much fun!
Your videos are always such a pleasure. I know I probably sound repetitive, but it's the absolute truth!! I refer to you as my " virtual friend, Carol". I love everything you stitch. The Elizabeth Cheetham sampler is so lovely. All the smalls inspire me to get out my spring decor. I will try to hold off til the first of March, however. It's still pretty chilly here on the mountain side of NC. I'm presently stitching on The Saltbox Houses by PS and about to start my first spring one. Thanks so much! My son and daughter in law are actually in NC this weekend staying at her grandparents cabin. It’s a long drive but they’re young and they love going there on a long weekend.

Dewy, Cheatham, and Howe was a law firm created by the hosts of CAR TALK, a PBS radio show, about cars than ran from the 70's through the 90's. The Malgiozzi brothers, Tom and Ray, were from the Boston area and there used to be a sign in a window of a building in Cambridge square where the "offices" of Dewy, Cheatham, and Howe were located. Oh gosh Carol. I was about to click off and you said your mom used to wear house dresses in the last minute of your video. I’m 65 and my mom did too. For years. In many different prints with stiff belts that matched the fabric. Made me so nostalgic and miss my mom. Thx for that. 💕🌷

You and Mr Saltbox’s chatter back and forth had my hubby come into my sewing room to find out what all the laughing was about. We’ll be married 48 years this year and we both get the verbal jabs back and forth!!! Keep them coming! Don’t laugh about when your in the nursing home stitching as we had a lady who spent a lot of her time cross stitching in her room and as staff we all enjoyed seeing what projects she was working on that day. Take care and though I rarely comment on anybody’s Floss-tube it’s because I know how much time it takes to read them all but I just had to let you know how much I enjoy the sharing of your talents and all the laughter, thanks also to Me Saltbox too. The Jello sampler explanation was hilarious 😂. Your smalls give me inspiration and I appreciate your confirmation about how time consuming finishing smalls can be. I wondered if it was because I’m such a novice finisher but it really is time consuming. I wish more retailers sold kits as it would keep me moving along. But then I would just buy more kits and then the stash gets bigger and bigger 🙄. Love the banter between you and the Mr. as it is very entertaining. Appreciate you and your channel very much. Ha! I love to see all the work you're doing -- so beautifully, too! I confess I'm not a "holiday" stitcher. I've done one Easter-related piece in my long time of stitching (60 years or so)...no Hallowe'en (I don't even celebrate it -- not since my kids grew up!); no Christmas -- no ornaments. And being Canadian, Thanksgiving and "Patriotic" themes are much lower-key here. But I *do* love the seasons -- so have stiched some related to those, mostly to mark the transitions. I too use "zip" bags for projects if there's nothing else available! And watching you and others, I've managed to move from 28 to 32 to 36 to 40 count. At a year younger than you (also a September baby) and *very* myopic, I've not yet dared to try 46 or higher! Thanks for all you (and your long-suffering DH) do to produce such great flosstube videos! 😉

It is always fun seeing you and your husband bantering back and forth, the Jello comments were hilarious! I love all of your stitching! Brenda Gervais is probably my favorite designer, and I have most of your smalls sitting in my “kitted” projects to be stitched! We can eat Jello, and stitch together in the same nursing home as I know that it is going to take me the rest of my life to get all of the stitching I want to do done! Now, it’s market time, and I am trying to resist purchasing any new patterns, but of course I also bought all of the new Brenda Gervais charts! 😮 Have a great couple of weeks! I love will love seeing what new smalls you start!

In the past I would stitch monogamous, and I can’t believe how things have changed and many projects are the norm now . Love your flosstubes. Your work is inspiring. Glad you found a way that works for you to turn your WIPs into finishes. Glad you all cleared up the “Jello Sampler” and so thankful no jello was spilt on a sampler. Love the quilt you designed. You taught me something new in the quilt world, a fat sixteenth is a cigar. Love those reproduction prints before the 1930’s. Especially 1880’s-1920’s. But anything before the 30’s. I found the “ugly” prints of those repros turn out to be wonderful. At my shop I’d have people come in asking for the “ugly” fabric. We made them famous when one sampler maker was doing an appliqué sampler and she needed 3 repro yellows and I only had three in the shop at the time. She thought I was out of my mind wanting her to use the one “ugly” print. She came back in with it made and found it made the quilt. That was all it took. “Ugly” became famous and in demand and cool! Lesson learnt in so many ways and not just in fabric.
