    Love your exercises Sir. These are the ones that are so practical rather than screening the pages and seeing exercises such as single leg stance ... more advanced. We need these ones. Very practical addressing the problem for acute strole not just chronic ones. thank you muchly. Waiting for more. Thank you.

    In case of femal therapist instead of keeping our leg on the patient's leg is there any other method to do it? Can we tie wight cuffs to maintain feet on the ground?

    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The idea is to promote weight bearing on the affected side to send more proprioceptive inputs to the brain and demand a purposeful efferent motor output.
      You can teach and train the patient's care giver for the same and supervise the session.

      @PhysioClassroom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Assess all the 5 key components of balance system which are:
      1. Visual
      2. Vestibular
      3. Somatosensory
      4. Cerebellar
      5. Musculoskeletal
      The first 4 are sensory components which are to be assessed, treated or compensated to improve balance.
      Be more specific on which sensory strategies you want to assess so that I can answer you better.

    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      KINDLY consult a Physician first.
      Swelling in feet can be due to problems with kidney functions, heart functions, metabolic reasons and inactivity.
      Only after the exact reason is found out the right treatment can be advised.
      In general it is advisable to keep the feet elevated and use compression stockings.
      Lower limb exercises can also help.

    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes.
      Weight bearing will also assist in developing co-contraction in shoulder muscles thereby facilitating development of stability.
      Weight bearing will also help in improving proprioceptive inputs in affected shoulder.
      Make the patient wear a shoulder cuff support to maintain shoulder joint integrity is also a good option 🙏
