Great to see you back on here man! Keep it up, dude.
As an admittedly cautious and slow progress skater, I would love to see a "How to fall" video. I think that's something holding me back a bit, even while wearing gear. Funny enough, when I take a good fall and it doesn't really hurt I get pumped up, but get back to cautious quickly when I take a fall that stings.
Cheers!
Key with falling on blades is to limit impact to wrists/hands/arms etc and try to shoulder it or roll if possible much like how skateboarders tend to roll and then pop back up a lot when they bail on tricks HOWEVER we obv can’t take off our skates lol so it’s added weight to your feet which can whip you around when you fall etc so it really does take some straight up SKILL to learn how to fall better/correctly
It’s literally a part of the process bro
Try not to get too discouraged from gnarly spills
Just last 2ish years alone I’ve ate shit so many times and have scars on my palms/knees/shins to prove it lol smh
Cheers and keep it up!! You got it
Dude great list! Not sure why I never thought of doing this. Glad to see you posting!
Thanks man. Would love to see what you come up with. Let’s see how long I can keep this thing going.
that clip of brandon wrecking his knees always fucks me up lol. Love the tip on studying the entire body position, I often notice how essential it is to properly position your hips and shoulders when doing certain tricks.
Good job lad :)
Body positioning is so important in blading 100%
Love your vids!
the video was already dope, but the Schmidt GIF from new girl took it over the top. You have my sub. Thanks for the great content!
Good stuff! Hope this reaches some new/young skaters. By the looks of the comments it already has. Again, great to see you back at it man.
these are great tips! especially for someone that stopped for 18 years or so!
I have sways team IV being delivered tomorrow. Haven’t worn a pair of blades in a good 15 years. Been loving your channel the last month or so.
Maybe the next time you’re at grant park or somewhere in Chicago our paths will cross. That’d make my day. Keep it up my friend #always 3 out of a truspin miz lol
Dude your garage looks so sick with all the bikes and skates 🤤
Reminds me I need some good storage for my skates
Thanks man. So happy that it’s finally like 80% sorted.
I can store your skates :D
I don't know how it took me a week to see this. Welcome back! Hope you keep posting more stuff.
Love it manne!! Thanks for sharing this ❤🤘🔥
Very helpful information. Thank you.
Great to see you back at it, always enjoy your content!
If you ever do a how to fall tutorial, I would be one of the first to watch
Super tips thank you and good ride🤙🏻
love that you are back
Smooth.
I am in the process of learning turns, I can handle gaining speed and slowing down but I cant yet turn or trully stop comepletly. I have been skateing for a little over 3 weeks and loving going out for 30 to 60 minutes a day.
I just got back into Inline, and I plan on investing in a Glute pad lol
That "guitar" sound in the end, sounds like the "Chorinho" style...
Hey there, any plans to do the video on how to fall? I really liked the basic tips you pointed out.
Should have had this vid 6 weeks ago :D Bought the Anarchy skates. One wheel warped out of its core 2 weeks ago, destroying my Kaltik Stealth frames i had swapped in. I have ordered a set of 909's instead... Now they just need to get here :)
Also have you ever done full cab soul? I have only stalled in on a curb high ledge so far, but I feel like I will land that long before I ever even attempt forward 360ing into grinds.
I think I've done it once or twice. Thanks for the idea though. I should really work on that type of thing again.
Awesome video as always! That helmet looks pretty nice, is that the certified pro tec old school?
Thank you! 🙏 This one isn’t the certified model.
yah!
I love your videos and agree with most of what you said. But i feel like there gotta be more than me who have nobody in their city to skate with and no skateparks within 2 hours..
That’s terrible man. I’ve been there. Hopefully another skater will turn up in your town soon.
Any tips for achieving a style similar to Franky Morales? He seems to literally sit down on all his grinds to the point where his ass is nearly dragging the rail.
Is this all in hip flexibility and quad strength? Would lifting the heels more in the boot allow an easier squat and range of motion through the hips to sit down that deep? His style of skating seems to be a lost art and I'm not sure if it's because of style or just because it's so damn physically demanding?
Great tips in this video though. Love hearing your perspective and the style you have. Being really tall makes it difficult to do stuff like Franky, but it's definitely inspiring and something to work towards.
Man I wish I knew how to skate like Franky. Hip and ankle mobility seem like a good place to start. Things like being able to fully squat while keeping your heels on the floor. Maybe one day Franky will share his secrets. I would love to learn to do 9s the way he does.
Psyched to see you uploading again. Just curious, you still flying with the new job? Caught the bug too late to get into airliners, but I did finally finish my IFR. I used to live vicariously through your videos, the idea of hitting skate spots all over the country while on layovers seemed awesome.
Yep. Still doing it. Unless you’re in your 60s, it might not be too late. Congratulations on the instrument ticket. That’s a huge one.
What y’all do??
Can you show us what basic things need to do in aggressive skate? Iam new on inline and aggressive skate but I think the two of it have different feeling and the style really different like when someone landing on aggre trick the put the feet really close on each other and also there is not much tutorial on the internet
Anyone here tried the bearings with 8 instead of the sevens or the sixes and if so what's your opinion
Is there something unusual / flourish*y you are doing with that truespin acid? Or is that just how they look? I guess I never really noticed how sick they look before. lol
Thanks dude! Not intentionally doing anything special to them. It may just be the way I lock them. I lock back torque then fall into the acid vs. locking true makio and bringing the other foot around.
🤣 Brandon
Beginner skaters should definitely skate anti
Why?
I disagree. Flat setup is best to learn it's way more comfy & safe.
I just feel that when you are learning your first grinds wheel bite can super frustrating plus it’s way cooler!
@@jackpot5115 that was more directed at people who are learning to skate, not those who can already skate and are learning more grinds.
Tips 11 : don't buy skateboarding clothes
😆
dude, true. My goal for 2022 is to replace my SB clothes with Blading related clothing.... there is so much stuff .
