Moments that Matter- A Quick Retrieve into Cover

Making use of a moment on a walk to give my dog a short mark into cover.
The dog marks the fall of the dummy, negotiates going over a log into cover and returning to me with the dummy.
This is just fun but it builds confidence, teamwork, and generates interest in different environments.
Keeping retrieves interesting is about capturing moments and creating moments that matter.
It only takes around 30 seconds to do, but it is behaviour in your dog’s memory bank and another training session under your belt.
Once you have your initial retrieve taught that is all you have to do…create moments that matter!
