On weverse someone asked what’s the point in the “dirty” version and he was like what’s dirty about it?🤷🏻♀️ it’s just the explicit version and it’s being honest and raw and that basically if you have a problem, it is what it is. He said he contemplated between the 2 versions but decided to release both because it’s fun and people will give different interpretations for both, and also because he’s a grown adult. And while he knows he’s the maknae and knows the image people have of him and love him for, if he doesn’t challenge himself or show a new side of him on his OWN will, then he won’t be recognised and it won’t be HIM...

Jungkook is probably one of those Kpop idols that can go solo as a global singer without carrying the identity of a kpop idol. in another word, we don't have to mention or keep mentioning a certain singer from Kpop singing this or that, doing this or that and etc. instead we can just say the singer releases a new single, an album, do this and that. IMO in conclusion Jungkook can come out as a global famous singer just doing his music to the world without anything at all to do with Kpop.

Exactly! I wish that he will be recognized as Jeon Jungkook and not Jungkook from BTS. Although I love him singing in korean I would love if he releases in all english album at the end of the year.

@@jacket6139 in theory all members can, however, as you said, V and Jimin might have better chances. many factors but better off not discuss here. also 1 very crucial factor, singing in English. some may jump in and start criticizing this and that. it's understandable but not being realistic especially if you aim at the US mainstream. objectively speaking, liking it or not, it is a fact. as a matter of fact, 'kpop idols' are free to sing in any languages other than just Korean. singing songs in English doesn't mean any success guarantee in the US market or literally any markets internationally. always case by case. don't mix it up. anyway Jungkook's solo success is well deserved and nothing much to discuss further.

I totally agree. To be clear, I’m totally here for this song. I’ve been playing it nonstop. I just didn’t expect the song to be THIS kind of song, which I feel was his intention. He wanted there to be some shock and awe, it’s the first time HE has a sung a song like this and it’s a whole new side of him that’s very exciting to see as ARMY. He is an full grown adult man. He can, and should, sing about whatever the hell he wants!
And also Jungkook sang an cappella on Weverve live, it was freaking beautiful despite the cold. ❤
