I 100% agree with you! It's the only game I can think of that has a console command menu, and then instantly punishes you for tinkering with it. I have used it countless times on Fallout 4 to noclip out of areas I got stuck in or fix gamebreaking bugs by force completing quests.
I suspect it's simply because us people who know how to use the console properly are (1) seriously outnumbered compared to the people who would complain about "cheaters" or w/e and (2) will probably know how to install the inevitable mod someone makes to fix the annoyance. It's still a dumb way to go about this all. CDPR encourages modding and doesn't punish people for it. Mod to your heart's content in CB2077, you get your achievements. Because it's singleplayer. It literally hurts no one. XD
@@liesdamnlies3372 yeah I’m not entirely sure why they kept the disable achievements thing. But even with that Bethesda’s engine has been studied for years. It’s creation kit which whilst not out yet for starfield is by far the easiest and most accessible modding tool out there. And the cheater argument for single player games is always amusing to hear.

it is dumb to try to restrict people using cheats. its a expensive singleplayer game, let the user do what he wants.
