Explosion is a well recognized Double Battle Killer, in combo with protect obviously. The trick is usually having a pokemon that will be targeted by both enemies on the field together with the explosive one and having the first use protect, so that the kamikaze can explode without issues. After all, in nuzlockes, it's better to lose one pokemon than the run, especially if it's a planned sacrifice of someone you should not need in the future.

If you ever found yourself getting stressed, it would be nice to react to Pokemon Challenges' video titled something like "My 150 losses in my Emerald Kaizo Hardcore Nuzlocke" or something similar. It could both give you advice and tactics for the future and remind you that there is no shame in failing and struggling at a game that is made to be unfair. I see Alpharad's naming Gastly Mankey. I smile thinking about that plot point while in a soul link randomizer of Platinum where I was player 2, player 1 lost their Marowak in battle as I'm getting my route 202 encounter. I ran into a Cubone and named it Orphan because of what had transpired moments before.
Poliwrath is a stone evo. Just need to use a Water Stone on Poliwhirl. It is confusing though because it’s close to a couple trade evos in the National Dex.
Always love some pokemon content. Pokemon fact: shiny odds for gen 1-3 is high 8,000. Shiny odds for 4-8 is high 4,000. But Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl is actually a range from 4,091-4,140ish. Its actually determined by your trainer ID

Just thought I'd give my unsolicited thoughts that no one asked for lol As an avid Alpharad viewer myself, I felt like your analysis of him as a content creator as a whole, alongside the analysis through the lens of a Nuzlocker was nice! It was never a thought that I had put into words, but his storytelling abilities are incredible and you making that point was super cool. I don't know if you're aware of PokemonChallenges as a youtuber, but he has made content very similar to this video in the past. However, I very much appreciate that yours is unique in comparison. As he labels himself "the best nuzlocker", I think it's equally important and fun to watch someone like yourself who isn't (or at the least doesn't claim to be) nearly as experienced give their takes on popular nuzlockes as well. The few criticisms that I would have, is that it may be nice to have a bit more constructive criticism/advice for the audience when you pause the video you're reacting to, and a very small thing is that it may be nice if you plugged the channel of the content you're reacting to in addition to yours (even if it's a channel the size of Alpharad's), especially in the event that not many cuts are made, since it may seem to some like it isn't quite a fair usage of their video. Another very, very small thing is that, while I appreciate the size that you've made the video in the corner, it feels like it takes up just a little bit too much of the screen, and I feel that maybe if it were to be 25% of the screen MAX, it would feel less intrusive in getting to see you react to this. As it is, I just felt like it covered up too much of you, and since we're here to see and listen to what you have to say, that would just be unfortunate! All in all, I liked this video, and I made sure to give it one! As a side note, I really appreciate how animated you are when you talk. It may not always be noticeable, but I think it adds a necessary visual component to an otherwise static setting. I would love to see your channel grow, and I'm just one guy on the internet giving his thoughts. I may be talking out my ass with my criticisms, but I only make them because I think it would be great to see you with a larger platform. Here is some of my responses lol I usually do shout out the main channel but I have a horrible memory and tend to forget that I did or didn’t do it lol 😅 For the video size, I will def try that moving forward. Shiny odds 1:8192 gen 1-5 after gen 6 it went down to 1:4096, but the BDSP fact i didnt know xD
