I have several sets of circular knitting needles with cables that would work great. Isn't something how it takes time for the light bulb to go on in our head to make something easier.😅 Thank you so much for sharing this. I'll definitely be using this technique.
Well thank you very much for this! I have always wondered how those needles would be used and now I know. Just finished making all my tubes for the "soft and precious" baby blanket and getting ready to put it together. Will use this method on my next one.😀
Another option at that point would be to kitchener graft it shut. Then you wouldn't have to worry about it being so tight. Tons of tutorials on TH-cam if someone wants to try. Just another option 😊
Loved that you showed this tip. I thought that was possible, and to use to add ribbing to have a more controlled size by using smaller gauge needles. I am new for this and thought the "usual" way to do ribbing on the machine was a waste of time and fiddley.
I don’t think ribbing on the machine is a waste of time. Lol It’s just another method. Using needles is fine as well. But your right, this method makes it possible to continue with needles.
Great idea thanks for the video. I hadn't thought of this..... My Sentro did not come with a circular needle but I have some from when I used to knit. I was going to give away these needles and glad I didn't since I can still use them now.
I often remove my stitches with a circular needles…then proceed to knit either the top decreases of a hat…or the bottom ribbing of a hat. This is for a single layer knitted hat of course. Very yarn efficient when making hats for donation. Plus it looks more hand knitted rather than cinched at the top. Just another idea…..
Neat idea! I never thought to use them for this technique, but it obviously works. I may have to try to see how much of a struggle it is. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Lmao yes when you said this tutorial is brought to you today by the addi 22 needle and the sentro circular knitting needles. I thought of the beginning of Sesame Street
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet i already use the circular needle to finish my scarf whitch was to short. But next time I made a project, I will use circular needle to undo my work. I hope my english is « readable »
Wow, that's a great idea, but I own a couple. Of sentro and mines never came with Meeting needles but I do lit so I have knitting needles but this is a great video
I have seen it done and it does look nice. In this video I am just showing that you can use the circular needle to take your work off rather than using waste yarn.
Wouldn’t just a stand of waste yarn on a needle (not knitting rounds of it) to pick up the stitches do the same thing? You still have the beginning and end separated, but it would be easier to pick up the stitches to crochet together. 🤔
Being a knitter I could cast off from there too. Genius. Well done and thank you for sharing.
Your so welcome! 😍

Oh your so welcome! I’m very excited about it as well. 😍
I’m going right now to my collection of circular knitting needles and will try this tip on my next project. Many thanks!!

Wonderful 🥰
Excellent Shelley, great tutorial, will try that on my next project.
Thank you! I hope you like it! 🥰

look it up!
It's brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing.
Glad you like it!😊
Oh Shelly this has helped me sooo much thank you for your time and help. ❤❤
I’m so glad!
You are welcome!☺️
That’s a great idea. You could also do the kitchener stitch, yes?
Yes you could. 🙂
I like this idea.
Thanks. 🥰

Thank you! I can’t even believe I never gave this a thought… I can think of so many ways to finish once on a knitting needle.
I can’t believe I never have before this either. It was a fluke! Lol
😂
Absolutely brilliant ❤
Thank you!❤️❤️
I didn't think of crocheting, I've always used circular and k2 together twice and cast off, being a hand knitter. Looks great for sure
Ok so you have this mastered already. Way to go! 🥰
Great idea thanks for the video. I hadn't thought of this..... My Sentro did not come with a circular needle but I have some from when I used to knit. I was going to give away these needles and glad I didn't since I can still use them now.
Everyone is saying they didn’t get a set with their sentro. Mine came with long pink needles and crochet hooks. I got it second hand.
This is such a great idea!!! Gonna try it for sure..thank you for sharing
You are so welcome!
🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻 great idea Shelley! Can you also use it for "lifeline "?
I am sure you could! Great idea!
Cool idea!
Thank you! 😊
Oh my goodness thank you so much for sharing this. I can’t believe I didn’t know this.
$1.25 store sells those circular needles also
Just make sure if you buy a cheaper set that the ends don’t come apart easily from the cord. I have some that do that.
What a cool idea!!!! Ty for sharing this.. Ill be doing this myself TY
Thank you! 🥰🥰
Great idea! I will use a smaller knitting needle. Thank you Shell!
Your so welcome! 🥰
I love it!
😊 thank you
You could also do a knit bind off.
Yes you could …. If you needle knit! Haha

A longer cord might work better. Also could you start at the open end and take the stitches off as you go?
Yes, that would make more sense for both suggestions. 🥰
Neat idea! I never thought to use them for this technique, but it obviously works. I may have to try to see how much of a struggle it is. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Very cool idea. Btw i loved your into i couldn't help but laugh it reminded me of Sesame Street😂
Thank you! 😍
Sesame Street! 😂 Lol!

Hahahahaha!
J’ai déjà utilisé les aiguilles circulaires car mon écharpe était trop courte. Mais je vais essayer votre méthode la prochaine fois. Merci à vous
I wish I could read French! I will plug it into a translator. 🥰

If totally is! Thank you!

People have said that a lot. I’m not sure why mine came with a set but I am happy about it! I have better ones as well.
In the ADDI instructions they do tell you to finish the piece on circular needles to get a proper seam 🥰
I have seen it done and it does look nice.
In this video I am just showing that you can use the circular needle to take your work off rather than using waste yarn.
thats an accessory that comes with the central machine when you purchase it?
@@DjMicr0dot I purchased my machine second hand and it was in the box. Many have said that theirs did not come with one.
What size do you need for the Addi 46? All I need to know to run and make my end seaming easier! 🎉
I actually don’t know what size this is. It’s a bit thick. I think a thinner one would be better but this works great!
Actually meant length. Not looking for a Goldilocks conundrum. 😊
Which sentro machine did your circular knitting needles from?
The 48 needle machine
Wouldn’t just a stand of waste yarn on a needle (not knitting rounds of it) to pick up the stitches do the same thing? You still have the beginning and end separated, but it would be easier to pick up the stitches to crochet together. 🤔
That would work the same way. Maybe not as easy to grab the stitches. (?)
I didn’t get needles in my unit
Neither did i. I have the sentro 46 and small one
Oh that’s too bad! I bought my machine second hand and it was in the box. It matches perfectly so it must have come with it.
same I didn't either
I didn't get needles either.
Awe that’s too bad! 🥲
I have major panic about learning how to do waste yarn.I still hav3 to learn it, just not today.
Follow a project where I use it and you will get it with no problem. It’s not hard.
I didn't get any circular needles
That’s what a lot of people are saying. I wonder why? 🥲
It is funny but Sentro does not include the circular needle
I got it second hand so I have no idea where it came from. I’ll take it though! Haha
