After spending that much time building and finishing the rocker the dog would be the last thing that would be sitting in that rocker or on any other wood furniture.
@So Low It is called dog claws dummy. They can raise hell with a finish and wood as well that cannot be repaired short of refinishing it. If I spent as much time as he did on creating that masterpiece no dog or cat for that matter would be placing their sorry ass on it or any other piece of furniture that could be damaged from claws.

Nice but you should have applied a sealer coat, then lightly sanded, then apply your wax finish.
