I am very impressed with your craftsmanship. My mother lives very close to where Sam Maloof’s house was moved to. His home is a museum now. I grew up in the same house my mom lives in now. Sam Maloof was and continues to be a big deal. I’m happy to see he has inspired so many around the world. I love that you formed the seat in the same way and took notice of the degrees of the seat. I know he did. Albeit you used a laser and I think he’d give an amused chuckle about that.

Hi 👋, That was a great sense of achievement, last year, I purchased a set of drawings and a DVD, On how to make this chair, and I’m hoping at some point next year, 2024, to attempt to make one or a pair, even, I have a big challenge before doing so, I have to lay 6 m³ of concrete and finish off doing the roof and doors on my workshop, I wish you all a happy New Year and a success for the future, Phil from the moulin France,

You have embraced a very good part of the Master's conception. For your very young years you two lads are indeed very fine young craftsmen. Everything, from the layout onwards was done with excellent organising and logic. The final esprit of the rocking chair was very pleasing to the eye. Maybe next time do a little more handwork to make it feel more caressed by the human hand than the machine.
The only thing that shocks me is using screws in the joints instead of tenons. Maybe a bit easier for future restoration, but a bit shocking for a cabinet maker like me.
The end result is absolutely stupendous. Full marks for your precision and fine finish.

Most of the work methods were followed after watching the video of the original author, Sam Maloof. Of course, I also used my own production method. Using screws in the joinery is the original author's method, and it has many advantages.
I am open to all possibilities, including CNC, 3D printers, and screws. thank you

An American woodworking, Scott Morrison, has a series of DVDs on how to build a Maloof inspired rocker. What I like about your build is the use of hand tools rather than power shaping with all the enormous amounts of dust.
Maloof's shop estimated that they spent 190 hours on a rocker build. What was your experience?

It seems to be about 200 hours.
