I recently purchased a Salzburger MT 5 and I am so pleased with the grain mill. It replaced a grain mill accessory attached to a mixer. Milling with the MT5 is a breeze and it is so quiet. I no longer have to inform my husband that I am about to mill grains! First I must say that when I called the company for advice, I was impressed with the questions Christine asked me (e.g., how often I intend to use the mill, how much milling at a time, types of grains, etc.). Being well informed of my need, she was able to advise me wisely me and offered a few options. I opted for the MT 5 and boy, it is a fabulous, powerful and good looking mill. It is also very easy to care, beside dusting the spout, virtually nothing else to do. So far I have milled many kilograms of buckwheat, emmer (farro), rye, and spelt - all easily. I keep my berries at room temperature and the flour never reached more than 88F. I am more than pleased. I was concerned about not being able to get a fine texture as I usually mill 100 grams and 300 grams at a time - no problem there! It is so easy to go from coarse to very fine flour (I do not even see the bran in the flour). The flour simply becomes light or dark beige, depending on the grains. It is also the perfect mill to bag pre-measured flours. As a golfer I like to mill my grains, add all the dry ingredients and store them into bags - ready for muffins, pancakes and breads. As a cancer survivor, I am always seeking the best equipment for my food preparation. I also want a piece of equipment that is reliable and worry free. All my requirements were fulfilled, and more. Do I deserve the best grain mill? You bet! Did I get it? You bet!
Omg omg omg omg. You know what I was looking for mills online from so many times but none satisfied me. Your mill is Aston Martin of all mill. Looks like a piece of art. Wood tested with organic oil, stone grinders.... Wow it checks all the boxes of my list. I will in future buy this product. I am writing this review in middle of video. Wow
We are very happy and proud with our grain mill MT12 here in Bosnia and Herzegovina! Really amazing mill with possibility to grind so many different grains. And we want to give special compliments for excellent customer service at Agrisan Naturprodukte GmbH. Greetings from family Radic!
After extensive research I came to the conclusion that these mills are the best in the world. I then bought the MT5 and shipping was super fast to Canada. The mill is just amazing as so simple to use and works perfect. Folks just buy one you will never regret it, and 12 year warranty on the Mill and 25 year warranty on the stones also. Like how awesome is that.
@@c.tucker2247 It is still working like new and not much dust like those cheap plastic ones from Amazon. A friend of mine bought one first and he uses it a lot as he has a big family and still as good as new 4 years later. They ship worldwide so shipping to the U.S.A. is easy so I see no reason you cannot buy one. You will never regret it. Worth every dollar and all organic.
@@c.tucker2247 I'm in Detroit; I just ordered one. Unfortunately, the MT 12 is the only one available to the North American market at this time but if you don't mind a bigger mill, go for it!

Can you tell me the difference, if any between the cuts of the stones used in the MT 5 and the MAX SPECIAL? I'd like the option of grinding chick peas into very fine flour, in addition to milling more "mainstream" grains, including ancient wheats like Einkorn and KAMUT®. I found a copy of the MT 5 manual online and it mentioned that legumes are (obviously, given their size) milled at a coarser setting; my concern is the fineness of the flour.
Looking very great , I want to buy it where can I get. does can wet grinding either? please, detail inform me. Thank you and Really appreciate your product.
SummerSissle Yes, I know but if it breaks then trying to get it serviced would be a pain in the arse. So, that pretty much tells me that the KoMo is the one I will need to go with. Thanks anyway.
***** Dear Sir, we deliver a lot of mills to USA and to all places in the world. We know how to make perfect parcels that the mills can not break. You chould check the materials and kind of millstone if you need a mill for many, many years. If the synthetic stone of a Komo-Mill breaks what can you do?
Christine Thurner KoMo has U.S. support. So, I don't have to send my entire mill back to Germany if it breaks. Also, because they have support in the U.S. they also make mills specifically for our electric currency. With a Salzburger I would need to use an inverter with the mill all the time. Also, as I have continued to research I keep reading that natural granite stones heat up significantly faster then a synthetic stone. I do not know how much truth there is to this but just the difference in currency hss helped me to decide. Anyway, thank you very much for responding. Your comments are very much appreciated by me.
